    Thai tea boba
    Emy Q.

The drink and spring rolls came out pretty quick. Vibe is pleasant. The cafe is spacious with nice tables for students to study. The spring roll also has very thick cuts of cucumber, so it's extra crunchy. I had the Thai tea boba was delish and overall had a nice time at this cafe.

Super friendly workers, very cute and vibrant environment with chill music. The food is always amazing, super flavorful Wonton Soup and Pad Thai! Used to come all the time when I lived in Tahoe but now I make it a point to visit every time I'm home for the holidays or breaks!

Tealeaf Café in Reno is a fun little spot with really tasty drinks. The inside is a bit strange and quirky, but the drinks make up for it. I'd definitely recommend asking for less than half sweet, otherwise it can be too much. Solid 4 stars! Quick service as well!

2 Summer roll pic of one ate the other

My coworker had the summer roll and I can't believe how fresh and taste we had to go back the next week my treat. We had the chicken fried rice and the summer rolls with beef and veggies in rice paper wrap with some delicious peanut sauce. I had to have the mango sticky rice as an impulse buy. Oh so good they do a punch card for drinks wish they had one for the food. Simple clean and comfortable dinning area. The staff was very friendly welcoming and helpful when selecting the food.

My first time eating here. My first thought was pricey...but I'm in the mood for Pad Thai NOW so I ordered Veggie Pad Thai with extra egg and extra bean sprouts. I also ordered it extra sweet and it's still not sweet enough for me. Next time I'll order it made with hoisin sauce to ensure maximum sweetness. As for my thought that it is expensive...turns out, not really. The portion is huge. My bill was under $18 and two people could share this if they are not huge eaters or not starving. For me it will be 4 meals and that makes it less expensive than most frozen meals. It's very delicious. I asked for extra hoisin sauce in a cup to go! All meals come packed to go however they have a few tables so I'm eating a bit fresh before I leave. I like this system. I usually take food home. If you don't need a full meal there are yummy snacks available. Check the full menu! If you find this review useful please VOTE!

    Combination Pad Thai

Our first-time visiting Tealeaf Cafe. This is a Bobba Drink place that serves food. Not an issue, just setting an expectation. The restaurant is clean, airy and inviting. I ordered the Combination Pad Thai. I thought the noodles were cooked well and had a wonderful flavor. Serviced with a plentiful amount of chicken, beef, pork and shrimp, there was no shortage of proteins. My wife ordered the BBQ Pork with Vermicelli. The BBQ pork was overcooked so meat was dry. The vermicelli and vegetables were redeemable, but overall her dish was just short of un-eatable. Really disappointing.

Had two BBQ pork banh mi and fried shrimp for lunch. While the sandwich was STUFFED with BBQ pork, I was disappointed that there was no liver pate on neither of our sandwiches. It also did not have the pickled diakon. I will stick to my normal banh mi spot (La Mint). The shrimp appetizer was good though.

I love the format of this casual cafe. When I run errands in the mall area, I typically get hangry and want a delicious snack that is not fast food, but I don't want to commit to a sit-down experience. Tealeaf is casual, clean, friendly, and you can order Al la carte. I usually grab some fresh rolls with peanut sauce. Today, my daughter and I split Shrimp Firecracker rolls and Pad Thai. The firecracker rolls were crunchy and hot, wrapped in crisp romaine lettuce to dip in sweet chile sauce. Pad Thai fresh and Smokey, not too sweet with crunchy bean sprouts and cilantro. The kid wanted boba and we both agreed it wasn't our favorite, but we'll try again before they lose a star. My matcha boba milk tea with zero sweetener added tasted sweet to me..also the boba was too mushy. The kid said her fruit tea was 'gritty'. Boba or not, Tealeaf Cafe is my favorite spot for a heathy, tasty, quality snack spot for a hard days shopping trip.

BBQ Pork vermicelli with extra shrimp

Reviewing this place again. Just ordered BBQ pork vermicelli with extra shrimp and it's HUGE! I also got a Vietnamese coffee with oat milk and Boba. I always enjoy this place and the food and boba drinks are always fantastic. I ordered this over the phone today and the guy didn't tell me it was extra for the extra shrimp (I figured it would be but he didn't tell me how much) as well as extra for oat milk. Also, they give you "egg rolls" with the vermicelli that have shrimp in them! So, next time I will not order extra shrimp with this vermicelli. Overall, still happy with my purchases.

    Chicken chow mein
    Jennifer K.

The service was great which sucks because the food wasn't. The man up front was very nice! We ordered the chow mein and it was not good. It tastes as there was no sauce and the noddles were a bit tough. There were bean sprouts then noodles. Also the chow mein did not match the picture on the restaurant whatsoever. The boba was pretty good though.

Vietnamese sandwich and horchata with boba.

The last visit was for a pick up order to-go for dinner. I came in and ordered their homeade wonton soup special, egg fried rice, a Vietnamese sandwich with beef and a cookie dough poppable waffle ice cream and an horchata. Everything was so good and the egg fried rice was something else! It's my new favorite! I'll be in sooner or later for that frice alone. I'm so glad I heard about this place. Great service and I love how clean everything is in there.

Nice location with an enjoyable outdoor patio where we were graced with a slight morning breeze. A complimentary tasting of Turkish delight was offered with each purchase of a beverage. Asked for recommendations and got the pistachio which was really good and the tart raspberry. I'd definitely order the pistachio again!! The pistachio complimented the coffee and the raspberry would be awesome with a non coffee drink.

I had the grinder sandwich and ate every single bite because it was so delicious. The crack and crumble of the bread was like a banh mi sandwich but filled with Italian ingredients. It's a pretty large location with plenty to choose from. Customer service was great all around. They have large windows so you can see into the kitchen and watch pastries being made. Pastries range between $5-$7.50. So, they are pretty pricey. I got their Gruyere & Leek Grilled Cheese sandwich and it was a whopping $21!! Add prosciutto or bacon - + $3.25! For that price, I wondered if they milked their own cows and aged the cheese on property. The sandwich was served with a side of dressed arugula. The taste and execution of the sandwich was fine, easy to eat, etc. But the flavor wasn't anything that justified the price tag. I also got an orange marmalade iced latte - kind of whatevs. My MIL got the griddled banana bread which is a thick slice of banana bread, topped with sugar and honeycomb. Also, tasted pretty mediocre. As for Pastries to-go, I got the creme brulee kouign aman (5/5). I don't typically like kouign aman, but I loved the caramel-y flavor of the sugar and they stuff it with a generous amount of pastry cream. I loved it. I also got their Bostock which had peach. Also, very good, but nothing amazing. Tried their chocolate bouchon which were pre-packaged. While, extremely rich & chocolatey, they were dry. My MIL got their marzipan morning bun which I didn't get to try. After all was said and done, the total was over $85!! Yes, you will need to go here on pay day in order to afford this place. Lol. Tartine is my fave bakery in CA and while I do think they are also expensive, I was able to get more items totaling at $75. I'm glad this place is in Reno. It's far enough to not make me want to drive here regularly. But, I will definitely be back to try their other items. This is definitely more of a "TREAT YO SELF" destination. Love the ambiance, love that it's artisan, just don't know if the astronomical prices are justified.

Immediately loved the vibe; colorful, mural filled space with many seating options, a lunch counter and an outdoor patio area. Super chill, friendly staff serving an eclectic clientele. I'd give it five stars if they were a bit more on point with the Cuban end of things. My wife and I are Anglos, but we're both Miami natives, so we're kind of purists when it comes to our Cuban stuff. This was definitely more "Latin inspired." We were looking forward to traditional pastelitos, but found they had more Mexican sweets and a guava and cheese brioche, which was delicious, but not authentic. Our Cuban sandwich had no pork and the wrong bread (and came with tortilla chips?), but the sandwich itself was quite tasty. And our cafe cubano was a nice coffee, but a bit thin and had only the amount of sugar a sane person would add, which is about a third of what would be in the real deal. So if you want authentic Cuban, this isn't really it. But if you're looking for good coffee and food served by cool people in a warm, funky environment, this place rocks.
