They don't have anything under control. No hostess, service SLOW and inefficient, food dreadful!! See pictures of undercooked bacon, burned biscuits, undercooked potatoes swimming in grease and what they laughing call gravy. Place still decorated like the French bistro that actually worked. Waitress had the nerve to complain when we tried to leave when the food was barely touched, just shifted for pictures. Total failure!

Woodett's Diner This is a review for my dining experience at Woodett's Diner. SERVICES: We were seated right away The server was attentive They serve breakfast and lunch 7:00am-2:00pm MENU The prices were fair PANCAKE COMBO Served until 11am -pancakes, eggs, and your choice of meat I ordered over medium eggs and sausage links -sausage links were good BISCUITS AND GRAVY -There was not a lot of sausage chunks in the gravy, instead there were a lot of herbs -As for the biscuit, when I bit into it...I was expecting a buttery, thick bite but it fell short...I felt like it was a pancake texture HOUSE POTATOES -Nothing special -I requested it to be crispy, but it was bland-no seasoning and it was just shredded potatoes ******BILL Beware! There is a 50cent charge for a to go box -I was surprised with that additional charge -What if you order a big entree and want to eat it as leftovers? -Why are you being so wasteful? -We noticed there were tons of plates with food on it when the diners left and they were cleaning the tables, now I know why -I already paid for my food and now you're going to charge me for a dinky to-go box so that I can bring home my food that I didn't finish?! SUGGESTIONS: -Disclose to your patrons that there is a 50cent charge for a to-go box -Add more meat to the gravy mixture All in all I was underwhelmed with my experience at Woodett's. I don't see myself going back again.

Food was reasonably priced for how much food you receive, & the house coffee was super delish! He had the "Pavement Scraper." I was impressed by the lack of grease I saw on his plate, despite there being 4 meats, including chorizo. He said flavor was good, just hoped for a little salsa for more moisture. (However, the table did have Cholula or Tabasco, if desired.) For my Omelette Savoyarde, potatoes were thin-sliced, cooked beautifully, & complimented the gruyere. The bacon was also finely chopped with no major, fatty chunks, which I appreciated. I didnt realize since the omelet contained potatoes, I was also getting more potatoes on the side! However, no worries, as I took those home for leftovers because the omelet was plenty to fill me up. Overall, our experience was pleasant.

Woodett's is a delightful gem that we eagerly anticipate visiting whenever we're in the area. If only we lived closer, it would definitely become our weekly breakfast spot! Our journey here began with a recommendation from a vet at Carson Valley Animal Hospital, and every dish we've tried has been nothing short of impressive. And let me tell you, their cinnamon rolls are an absolute must-try!

OMG..... a real fine dinning experience! Service, quality of meal preparation & 5 STAR FOOD! Amazing! The service staff, wonderful, served the woman first, cleared plates as finished each course ! Everything was choreograph to a T! The Chef & wife came out to meet & thank everyone for coming, what an experience! Fine dining at it 's best ! Outstanding! (Woodett's Bistro's) once a month evening dinning! Do not miss this Jewel

A friend invited me to meet him at Woodett's Diner for breakfast a few days ago. I've been on this biscuits and gravy kick for about a month now and decided to order the biscuits and gravy. It was good. One biscuit was on the dry side but they gave me plenty of gravy to soak up the biscuits. The biscuits and gravy came with a side of eggs and two strips of bacon. It was good and filling. Even though I tried, I couldn't finish it all. My kid ordered off the kid's menu and got the pancakes. He really liked it. He always likes pancakes though. The place was clean and the service was excellent. The next time I'm in the area, I'll try something different. I've been told that their huevos rancheros was good. Maybe I'll give that a try on my next visit.

I think they try too hard to be 'fancy' the chicken fried steak gravy had thyme in it, which just didn't work. Keep it simple.

Your husband was supposed to ask you if you had a 2x Woodett's tee shirt. Charcoal or black. If so we will be stopping by on Saturday am to check. Thanks Tim & Donna Diaz?

Donna, my apologies, my husband forgot about the shirts, but tomorrow morning, (Saturday) he will drop off the shirts at Woodetts.

    Are they dog friendly?

    Yes we are.

Do they still have homemade cornbeef hash?

It’s not on our actual menu, but we can always do it.

The guy who made my crepe was nice, I was kind of in a hurry because my parking spot time was almost up and he made my crepe pretty fast. Stay away from the waffles and bagel sandwiches. I ordered a waffle for my son and expected a large, typical pressed waffle. The waffle he was served was about a quarter in size of one of those large waffles and tasted like a glazed donut was pressed in a waffle machine. I had asked for syrup and powdered sugar on the side as we try to limit sugar for our toddler and I was appalled that this waffle was literally a glazed donut. My husband and I ordered the classic, but paid $1 extra each to turn it into a bagel sandwich. The bagel was incredibly dry, the bagel was bacon bits that were falling off the bagel, the cheese was shredded cheese that was not even fully melted, and there were a few pieces of scrambled egg that were ok. It was actually inedible for me. I ate the egg and some of the bacon bits with a fork, but threw out the rest as it was not worth eating. I was incredibly disappointed with this breakfast. You order at the counter and they don't even bring out your food to you. It is a decent sized space and they have indoor and outdoor seating.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience here from begin to end. The staff was kind and attentive, we had a waitress who sat us down and got us coffee and water, and after that it was uphill from there. We had three other servers stop to ask if we needed anything or wanted to give our order, and once we made up our mind the waiter who helped us did a fantastic job. No pen or notepad, he remembered our order with full detail and not one mess up. As we finished out appetizer, sides, and meal he continued to come by and take our plates, refill our water and my coffee. He was on point. By the end of the meal I paid the bill and gave him a cash tip and thanked him. He seemed happy and thanked us for stopping in and conversing with him. For those of you looking for that caffeine fix and wish to venture out of the Sacramento area,…read more"Love Birds Coffee & Tea Co." will have you covered. Ever since their opening back in 2016, this has been a wildly popular spot to enjoy inside or on-the-go with their convenient drive-thru. Located right next to a Quik Stop gas station and a Subway, this place is conveniently at the corner of Diamond Rd (Highway 49) and Pleasant Valley Rd in the small community of Diamond Springs. I also wanted to mention that they have very generous hours of operation being opened Monday through Saturday from 5:30am to 4:30pm while being closed on Sunday. I ended up coming here during the afternoon of Saturday 6/15/2024 at around 2:15pm. Since this was well past the morning rush, there were no other customers inside and not a single vehicle parked directly outside. As far as the exterior layout, it uses freestanding rocks which gives it a castle-like appearance. The interior though is very impressive as they've utilized the walls with floral-type balconies, a large painting with more floral arrangements surrounding it, and vintage furniture which has a very nostalgic look as if you've stepped back in time. I also wanted to point out that there is a spacious outdoor sitting area for the most comfortable days. First and foremost, the menu here is quite impressive with a huge selection of coffees, espressos, teas, quenchers, blended drinks, and smoothies. They also carry a nice assortment of breakfast sandwiches, bagels, burritos, croissants, and crepes. And for the lunch crowd, they even offer pizza, pasta, soup, and traditional sandwiches. I ended up ordering a slice of their pepperoni pizza with a small mango smoothie while my significant other went with a bacon, egg, & cheddar bagel with an iced Americano. Our drinks were ready within a couple minutes while our food came shortly thereafter. I will say that the mango smoothie was delicious as it was refreshing without being too overbearingly sweet. However, the pizza was just okay for me as it was a bit on the soggy side and not too crisp. Same goes with the bagel as there were more small clumps of bacon (instead of full-cut bacon). And the eggs, they resembled more of a processed scramble egg with a perfectly cut square; I have a feeling it might be frozen and heated to save time. However, the bagel was good and had nice texture to it. Still at $10 for the breakfast bagel, this was a bit on the pricier side. All in all, "Love Birds Coffee & Tea Co." is a decent place that has a lot of character and charm to it. The young staff working here were very kind, courteous, and accommodating while the ambiance is definitely a home run in my book. I'd stick with the coffee as this is their strong point. But for a stop before work or even if you're heading to Tahoe or the foothills, this is a decent above average business. My rating, four stars.
