    Golden Beet

Went to the museum with a friend and decided to give this place a try. You walk up to the counter to order they give you a marker with a famous artist name on it, and you seat yourself. Our food and drink were delivered in a timely manner. My friend ordered the burger and she said it was delicious. I wanted something lighter, so I got the Golden Beet. WOW not only was it visually beautiful but incredibly delicious. It had roasted golden beets, hummus, hard egg, avocado, goat cheese, pickled red onions, and walnut crostini, with everything spice. There was also a "dressing" of sort and golden raisins. Just excellent! The whole menu, although small, sounded delicious. I'm glad that you can eat here without paying admission to the museum. Definitely a spot to add to your spots to try. 2/22

All of the dishes are great taste and serves are great too. You can have perfect enjoyment and relaxing for sure here. Additionally, Sunday brunch time is the really best time. You can listen magnificent music here. You can listen perfect SUMIE style music for sure. I do not need to explain. Just come!!!!! You will recognize it.

The latest visits have not been as good. The sandwiches are still good but the soups are really marginal.

Walked right up and there is a menu on the wall and handheld menus available. I was very impressed by the amount of options that were there. Lots of veggie and gluten free and also an extensive drink menu. They have breakfast and lunch/dinner options and I almost had a hard time deciding because things sounded tasty! The girl ringing me up was new but very helpful when making my choice and the staff was really supportive of each other. I got the Vodka and added steak. The place was pretty busy but took about 20 minutes for me to get my food. Super yummy pasta alla vodka! And it was a pretty decent sized dish. I wasn't able to finish it but stoked for the leftovers! Gotta come back to actually try some drinks and breakfast items!

There are plenty of places to sit upstairs and downstairs. I went with the vodka sauce pasta with chicken. The vodka pasta was yummy and filling. The chicken tasted fresh and juicy paired well with the pasta. The chicken would have been better if there was more seasoning. The prices are affordable at the cafe. They have a good selection of drinks and food. I love the homey atmosphere. We had a great experience here and I'm looking forward to stopping by when I'm in the area.

We were seated right away on a Sunday at 6pm before a big show in the theater. Unfortunately our table was not that clean. The chairs had crumbs and the floor below the table was riddled with food. Our waitress was friendly and helpful when I asked her if she could sweep it up. I ordered a $19 burger and fries which was very delicious. The bun was pillowy soft just like I prefer and the slices of bacon and tomato made this burger one that I could go back for.

My husband and I checked out the breakfast menu on our last day there and liked what they had to offer so we went inside to dine. This restaurant was well kept and clean. Everyone was so nice, kind and helpful. This restaurant is GRAND! Our server was attentive and helpful. She checked in on us a few times and refilled our coffee. My husband ordered a Denver omelet and it came with toast and hashbrowns. I ordered fruit and a parfait. The amount of fruit I got was so much! When I come back, I would not mind trying other food items other than breakfast.

I gave into my fried food craving and ordered the sampler platter for dinner. I mainly wanted the nachos, but I got the platter. Good deal for everything you get. My husband ordered the fish special. We love that they change specials every week. When you go, the must have is the green chili chicken soup. It is one of my all time favorite soups. "Meh" is the word that best describes Cafe Bellini. Nothing terrible but nothing amazing either,…read morejust meh. However when you consider their prices, I think there are better options for simple cafe food in town. We went with a small group of friends so I was able to see and get feedback on a few dishes. Walking through the restaurant, another guest was having Prime Rib and I thought, hmm that's an option. The Prime Rib is served with either a soup or salad starter. I opted for the Chicken Verde Soup. In all fairness the soup was pretty good. It was creamy with a slight verde chili flavor, nothing overwhelming but definitely there. My only gripe was the soup was warm but not as hot as I prefer my soups. I ordered my Prime Rib medium rare. While beautifully plated, my Prime Rib arrived more medium than rare. As a result, the main portion of the serving was more dry than I would have preferred. I don't know if was the potatoes or the gravy but something in this side dish had WAY too much salt. What didn't have enough salt, was the corn side dish. Completely lacking in flavor. My wife ordered the Southern Fried Chicken platter. Wanting to share the plate with a friend, they ordered the dish as "dark meat only". The waitress confirmed they were able to accomodate the request before we finalized our order. What was delivered was a normal serving with a leg and thigh(dark meat) but also came with a breast and wing (white meat). When we challenged the server that our order was wrong, she was assertive in her insistence that our plate did infact have dark meat only. Errr, no, it did not. I realize that educating our youth is a national challenge but if you are in the restaurant service industry, you should understand the difference between white and dark meat on a chicken. Just saying. Another friend had the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. Although she came hungry to the table, over half was left, citing that the sandwich was just too dry to eat. And no, she did not bring it home. Unfortunate. If you are looking for a simple cafe / diner experience in Reno, there are better options.

There are still pre-packaged food items and prepared burritos, soups, and cookies available for sale downstairs. Expected reopen is this summer. When it is reopen I shall return again! Until then, 5 stars all around for the last 8 years of me going to this place :) This place is a vibe, straight up. The whole upstairs area of the Co Op got remodeled to host more people and make it more friendly for those that like to hang around for that coffee shop vibe. Their outdoor patio is so fun and wonderful when it gets warmer out and opens up for the season. The ordering process is a lot more straightforward now; you get a buzzer after ordering and walk up to the other side of the counter to receive your food. My favorite thing over the last year has been their smoothie bowls. The peanut honey drizzle keeps me coming back and I'm excited to try it again once they are open! Their burritos and sandwiches have also been wonderful and tasty!

I think the establishment is so neat, the upper balcony area must have some of the best views. The menu seemed to have a great variety of food options available. I settled upon the Turkey Bacon Avocado, it sounded amazing but what I received was disappointing. It was chunks of turkey and the majority of the bacon was soggy and uneatable. I made the best of it, but most of the dish went uneaten. I did enjoy the salad with the flowers. The establishment had a busy lunchtime flow. Good for them, just not a place I will plan to come back to try again.
