Actually saw the vendors at Morgan Hill Walmart parking lot. I was their last customer of the day because I got their last three chicken tamales!! The tamales are super flavorful and were filling! I have purchased tamales here many times (both at the Safeway and Walmart locations). They are always delicious. Good ratio of meat to masa. My only negative comment is that the green chicken tamale is very very spicy hot. Aside from that, I highly recommend the Tamale Lady. read more

Always been looking around for a good tamale place/person who can make them to perfection etc...well definitely word of social media does help, one of my friends who works with me at the hospital shared Martha's hot tamales (tamale lady) on her social media so decided to give it a go. Started to follow her on social media and went to the location where she was at on that day which was at my job area next to other food trucks. I bought 6 cheese and Jalapeño and 6 pork tamales...omg pics do not do justice, the tamales I kid u not were huge and lots of meat in the pork (not greedy with the making of this). The cheese and Jalapeño was soooo good like omg...the cheese is loaded and taste of Jalapeño too, definitely worth it and also was not greedy on the cheese, lots of it. Now guys, that's what I call a real tamale made from the heart n efforts. If u buy tamales from others off the street (some put too much masa and hardly no meat), they are nowhere like how the tamale lady (Martha's hot tamales) makes it. And a plus. Is that they are nice and hot when given to u too!!! Wholesome goodness I been ordering from her for a yr now and I will continue to be ordering from her. U guys need to give her a try!!! These are amazing tamales. I really like the pork. There is a good balance of meat and meal. They are rather mild but that is great for some. I dress them up with sour cream and green sauce. They have to great locations. Walmart and Safeway. Out of their van with the rear door open. read more

I did not know about this family selling tamales at the parking lot in walmart. I am happy that I found it. The tamale are the best I have tried since I moved here from Mexico. If you can find the Walmart parking lot tamale "people" they've been selling them from the Walmart parking lot and occasionally the Safeway lot for years. These tamales are the best I've found anywhere/ especially the chili and cheese tamales. If you are a local, you can get their card and order for special occasions or get hours. read more
