Whoa. There must be 15 cars here in line for service.

Honda notified me that my 2019 Honda CR-V is recalled with a faulty fuel pump. Made the appointment at Tameron, took it in, had them rotate the tires, replace the air and cabin filter. They accidentally changed the oil in it too and didn't charge me. Great! After the replacement, the CRV wouldn't start easily. It has been about a month since the fuel pump replacement and it wouldn't start at all. It left me stranded. Took almost 2 hours to get a tow truck, of course during one of the hottest days of the year. Towed it to Freeway Honda which was closest dealership. Turns out, when Tameron installed the fuel pump, they broke the O-Ring, which in turn caused the fuel pump to fail. Freeway Honda fixed it ( supposedly). Please do not take your car to Tameron.... I am now out the cost of the tow.

I have mixed emotions for this dealership. I called and spoke to Kelsy or Kaylee (Internet sales person) who spoke to manager Shaun to see if they had the car I was looking for prior to making the drive over, as I was not shopping. They had the car. When I arrived they tried to sell me a used car as a new one, and then finally advised me that they did not have the car that I called about. I had verified by stock# that they had it. The entire experience was a fiasco and I was shocked as it was my first experience with the great "Honda" dealer. My daughter had purchased her first CRV last year from Autonation Honda and was convinced that the car saved her life on XMAS EVE 2023 during a head on collision in AL. So I went to pick her up the exact same car but a 2024 this time while she was getting a CAT scan. The plan was to be back at the hospital within 3 hours. That is why I had called ahead of time. I was in such a state at the time and did not read the reviews which is an absolute no no for a yelper. Needless to say, THIS dealership with Shaun leading the way, made it right! They found me the same car and a better than base model, the one I came for. They even discounted the car to make it almost the same price we would have paid for the base model. It worked out in the end and they gave many apologies!! This was all bad that got worse and then worked out for the better. A good example of when people own their mistakes and do the impossible to make it right!

Oops, we forgot to put your car back together, ma'am.

I have to say, my experience with Tameron Honda was less than stellar. I needed to have my car towed there to have the transmission replaced. My warranty company let me know that the transmission should still be covered by the Honda factory warranty, but when I called and spoke to a service rep and try to facilitate having my car taken there, he was adamant that my factory warranty no longer covered my transmission. This caused a couple days of back-and-forth with my other warranty company and they ended up having to call Tameron Honda and make them realize my factory warranty still covered it. A manager called me and apologized for the confusion, and told me that the person that told me my warranty wasn't going to cover it was "new." I get the car towed there and they let me know that the part was going to have to be ordered from out of state, which is fine. That's understandable. As soon as the part came in, they did finish it quickly. I picked up my car, took it home and thought that was it. I didn't need to get in the trunk that day, but when I got into it a couple days later, I noticed the part featured in the photo just sitting in my trunk. I called Wade back and sent him a picture of the part and he asked me to bring it all the way back to the dealership so that they could put it back on. I asked him if they would mind cleaning my car or washing it or something in exchange for the inconvenience, but he didn't even reply to me, and instead handed my boyfriend (who took the car up there) a coupon for a few dollars off an oil change if I took it all the way back there again. Then a couple days later, my battery was dead on my car. Never had an issue with the battery before and had to pay to have it replaced, so I am assuming they left something on and killed my battery for me. Before the issues with the part I found in my trunk and the dead battery, Wade had asked me to make sure I leave him a positive review on a survey that I would be sent, but after all that stuff happened, I never got a survey. Go figure. I've had issues with another Tameron business before, Tameron Hyundai, so this company will definitely not be getting my business in the future.

I bought a truck here in December of 2020 and came back again in 2025 for a Corvette--because apparently I make excellent financial decisions when I walk through their doors. But the real reason I keep coming back is the service department. Every bit of maintenance on my vehicles has been done here, and they've never given me a reason to even think about going somewhere else. The folks in the back always treat me right--professional, friendly, and they don't make me feel like I need to bring a sleeping bag while I wait. Quick, prompt service every time. People ask me all the time why I don't just get my vehicles serviced locally, like at Tuscaloosa Chevrolet. I tell them the same thing: I like knowing when I show up, I actually have a spot and a plan. Being able to schedule an appointment beats rolling the dice with drive-up service and hoping for the best. And I'd be leaving out an important detail if I didn't mention the handheld donuts and coffee--they're a nice touch to help feed the fatty cells and wake up some sleepy eyes. Truth be told, I don't even wander too close to that area anymore... those donuts are just a little too tempting. At the end of the day, I've never had a bad experience here--and when something works this well, I'm not about to "fix" it by going somewhere else. As long as I'm driving vehicles I bought here, they'll be the ones taking care of them.

I was quoted over $2200 for the 60k service. Mind you, my car has literally 50,000 miles and is still practically new and I take extremely good care of it. I was so shocked by how casually they quoted me that price and how the salesperson/technician kept such a straight face while trying to explain why it cost that much. The part that made me concerned was him saying I needed a new battery (which was true although mine was only 18 months old) but quoting me $450 for it... I went straight to autozone and showed a technician- first, I got the exact same battery purchased and immediately installed for $220. Then, he spent over an hour with me explaining each service and the parts needed, and told me I could buy every single thing at autozone and take my car to Pepboys for them to perform the services for under $1k TOTAL. He literally said that the dealership was scamming the daylights out of me. As a woman who is clueless about cars I know I have to be careful not to be taken advantage of by greedy salespeople like this, but it's sad! I will not be coming back. They also charged $120 FOR AN OIL CHANGE.... I wasn't told the price until after it was completed, I should've asked up front, but I would never have expected that. It's literally $30 to buy a quart of fully synthetic oil and it takes 20 mins max to change the oil, it's all under the hood of the car (not even underneath the car) on my model! ROBBERY!!!!

I was assigned…read moresalesman Rob Hurt, and he was incredibly helpful and patient as I explored not only that vehicle but several others on the lot. Before leaving that first visit, I test drove a vehicle that I really liked. Rob explained that I could place a $300 refundable deposit to hold the car while I finalized the insurance and financing details related to my totaled vehicle. Since the deposit was refundable, there was no risk, so I decided to put it down before leaving. Over the next several days, I made a few visits to the dealership to make sure it was truly the right vehicle for me. I even brought my son back so he could test drive it and give it another look. Rob was very patient and accommodating through the entire process. There was one visit where I became quite frustrated and was honestly tempted to walk out. I was simply trying to keep the car on hold and needed to leave so I could get my son home to study for an exam. However, either Mr. Hurt or his manager, Shomari, kept attempting to run my credit and finance the vehicle through their system even after I explained that I would be securing financing through my credit union. That part of the experience felt unnecessarily pressured, and I did express my frustration to Rob. One interesting feature of the process was their high tech system where you go into a private room and complete a virtual meeting to review warranty options and sign paperwork electronically. That was actually a pretty neat and modern experience. During the process, I received an email from Service Director Mr. Bowlin asking how everything was going. I replied honestly and explained the frustration from my most recent visit, but unfortunately I never received a response. I was eventually able to finalize the deal and complete the purchase. Rob was wonderful throughout the entire process, and I truly do not believe he was the one pushing to run my financing through their banks. That was simply the impression I got. Within a week of purchasing the vehicle, the car alerted me that it needed an oil change. I reached out to Rob to ask if the dealership might take care of that in good faith since I had just purchased the vehicle. He checked with the service department and told me they could perform the service, but that I would be charged for it. Personally, I feel that a large, reputable dealership should at minimum ensure the oil is fresh before selling a used vehicle. Shortly after that, Mr. Bowlin emailed again asking what they could have done differently to earn a five star review. I responded and shared the same concerns mentioned here. Unfortunately, I never received a reply to that email either. Overall, the experience was a positive one, largely thanks to Rob's patience and professionalism. A side note worth mentioning (in my opinion) is there are positive affirmations in the restrooms and Christian music playing in the building. My only disappointment was the lack of follow up when I shared concerns and gave the dealership an opportunity to address them. For that reason, I'm leaving four stars instead of five.
