First of all: the reason for 5 stars is because of the amazing team of baristas that were there when I went Saturday 8/9 and 7:30 am They had just received a mobile order for 30 drinks! 15 iced vanilla lattes and 15 iced matchas. They didn't skip a beat and provided excellent customer service to the other customers even though no doubt they were stressed. They kept a positive attitude and provided enthusiastic service Now for the food and beverage: I just had a drip coffee with cream it was the Reserve roast and I must say it was full of cocoa flavor and very smooth. It seemed to have a medium body and was very balanced. My pastry I chose was a raspberry bar and it was buttery, flaky, and perfect amount of both sweet and tart. The cafe and bathrooms were clean The atmosphere would have been fine but it was so busy . It was hard to concentrate on my studies I brought with me. But obviously that's not the coffee shops fault.... Or is it? Because of good service and good coffee

Another amazing stop at Press! A nice walk, a latte and mocha and sat outside on the patio. The girl at the front was so kind and helpful even when it was busy. Best coffee stop!

Stopped in for a Cafe Americano and a cranberry scone, both delicious. Great service from Hana and Liz. Sat outside in the shade of the eucalyptus. 96 in the shade but peaceful and relaxing.

The espresso honey cinnamon is AMAZING! One of my favorite coffees from anywhere. Hot instead of iced for this one. It's not much of a "vibe" but it's a very quiet, clean place to work. The service was great.

Press is my favorite coffee shop in the Valley. I simply love it and they consistently deliver good coffee no matter the location. I love this location because there's so many local shops around. My puppy was getting a dental cleaning and I stopped by to get him a puppy cup and treated myself to a latte. I like that in addition to sugar free vanilla syrup they also have sugar free hazelnut. Service is good. Food is also good, specially the OG breakfast burrito.

I stopped by here a couple of Friday mornings ago with my wife and twins for our morning coffee. Whenever we go on vacation, we like to hit up local coffee shops and on this day we went to the McCormick location of Press Coffee. This coffee shop is located in a strip mall with ample parking. The inside of the coffee shop consisted of a number of tables, a place to order and then a pastry case with plenty of good looking items in it. For my coffee on this morning I decided to go with a large hot latte while my wife went with a small hot latte. It took around 5 minutes or so and then we had our coffees and were on our way. My coffee here ended up being quite enjoyable as you could definitely taste that the coffee was fresh. There was also a nice ratio of milk to coffee and so there was a nice play on the bold flavor and slight bitterness from the coffee against the creamy milk. My wife also enjoyed her coffee as well. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. While my wife and I were a little disappointed with a lack of seasonal drinks, they do have good coffee and so I can understand why they would want you to taste it.

Love it here! This location is so lovely because you can walk along the water, the staff is super great....parking can be a little tricky but it's worth it!

Do you bake your own pastries in house or are they from a local bakery? If so, which bakery please?

Hi! Our pastries are delivered freshly baked from Noble, a local bread and pastry provider. Thank you!

Andrew R, were you the owner of Lakeview?

PRESS Coffee will be opening at the former Lakeview location in the coming weeks. Stay tuned, we look forward to serving you.

What kind of espresso bean did they use? will the coffee be different now that it is press coffee?

We use Twitch espresso at all PRESS locations, and have a rotating single origin for espresso and drip as well. Thanks!

Everything was very good, and the sauce on the pizza was especially excellent. Service was good -- not great, but good. The DJ actually added some nice ambience to the place and gave the restaurant a good vibe. Now here's my problem. This is a BIG restaurant. I'm not talking about some tiny little neighborhood place where they have to squeeze every table into every corner. Yet somehow, they sat the four of us right next to the server computer station, where the staff is constantly coming and going, punching in checks, picking things up, walking back and forth -- the whole time you're trying to eat dinner. And to make it worse, that table is close to the front door. This is Arizona. Every time that door opens, you get a blast of heat. I can only imagine in colder weather you'd get the opposite problem. I've been around restaurants a long time, and some tables just shouldn't be tables. That's one of them. I understand nobody wants to give up a four-top, but in a restaurant that size, come on. Move the table or get rid of it. The guest experience should be worth more than squeezing in four extra seats. The food absolutely deserves a return visit. Just do yourself a favor if they try to seat you by that computer station near the front door, ask for another table.

This review is for the totality of the experience…read more I made an advance reservation at Alma Scottsdale for a mid-sized group of 7 to celebrate a special occasion. Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic. But for management to ring up our bill and then come confront us in an inflammatory manner, making us feel like we were wrong, on an occasion to celebrate something special, was extremely disappointing.

The place was buzzing with loud electronic music and tons of people dining -- I think because the ceiling is so high the noise is amplified. Because it was so busy it took a while for the server to come over but he did with waters which was nice but then the menus are all on QR codes -- which is annoying because it is hard to look at everything and because the menu is very confusing it would have been nice to see everything on paper. The menu is confusing because the selections are very odd -- I thought it was a mexican-asian/sushi fusion restaurant -- which I guess it is but it was still really hard to create the best food experience when I couldn't see everything available. My friend was hungry so she immediately put in an order for calamari and I was being called to order the blood orange margarita slushie. When the margarita came it was like nothing I have ever seen before. It looked more like a milkshake or like a creamsicle. I dove in thinking it would be too sweet but it was actually quite delicious and I sucked it back in a second! Also I put in an order for the edamame which sounded really good in the description -- "woodfired" and spicy miso butter -- but when they came they were really spicy and the woodfired element was making me cough, strangely enough -- I couldn't finish them! Finally after waiting forever we got the drinks and apps. It then took another 15 minutes to order our food. Again it was busy and my friend and I were catching up so it wasn't a big deal. We wanted a fairly light dinner so we just ordered one roll -- the Fuego, which had yellowtail and a whitefish, chili, cilantro and cucumber plus a pico de gallo on top -- it was very flavorful -- although a bit spicy for those who are spice wimps like me. Overall, thought it was a good meal but wasn't blown away.
