Popped in to Chin Up around noon. The decor is really cute with lots of orange 70's decor. I immediately felt like I wanted to stay. They have some fun coffees like smokes mocha and cinnamon toast cold brew. We tried the honey lavender latte and the super fun cereal milk latte. Loved the cereal milk latte, with actual cereal in it. The honey lavender latte was a little bitter but okay. We had a peek at the donuts but they were just out in the open and did look a little dry. I tried one donut hole that was okay. I know they do special donut flavors so maybe made freshly they are tasty. I think they should be in a case to preserve their freshness.
Can't get enough donuts and this is my favorite place to get them in the valley. The brioche bottoms are a total game changer. And they have very unique flavors- my favorite is everything bagel but I miss sriracha! The seasonals are also fun- I loved banana cream pie and next on my list is the caramel apple. The owner is so positive and the place is bright with good vibes. Oh I also got a "shape" donut (think bachelorette party lol) and it was a huge hit. The letter donuts and "bouquets" are a super cute idea that I'm still waiting for an excuse to buy lolllll

Everyone with a sweet tooth knows that there are three types of donuts. The first is the classic (you know, Shipleys, Krispy Kreme, and your assortment of mom and pop shops). The second is the hybrid donut genre (cronuts, gag donuts concerned with aesthetics over flavor, and anything tiktokable or instagramable), and the the third (and my favorite, an artisan rendition of the classic, elevated in ingredients, flavor profile, and Ofcourse created with alot more love). According to my slightly biased scale, these scrumptious fat pockets fall into the third category. I visited last month and am still dreaming about the brown butter sea salt donut (and trust me, I've had plenty of sweets since then). In addition to the bomb.com service, and squeaky clean storefront, our order of six donuts featured a handful of standouts, the everything bagel donut being the most notable as a sweet and savory pocket of delicious, but whatever you do, make sure you remember to order the brown butter sea salt donut! Take it from Auntie B's expertly trained culinary sweet tooth- it'll make your tastebuds dance- which as far as I'm concerned counts as exercise right?!

The lady at the counter was so helpful and sharing some info about their business and goods. Then, a regular customer told me I had to get a breakfast sandwich because the bun is essentially a donut. So I did and boy, it was quite yummy - kinda seemed like a guilty pleasure. The regular also told me that all the donuts are made from scratch, rather than from pre-made mix shipped in somewhere. I've been back a few times now and also picked up some donuts for the office this week. Everyone loved them!
Chin up has some of the most amazing fluffy donuts! The place is bright and beautiful with smiling employees. They have some of your regular offerings however they also serve up some unique flavor combinations as well! What goes great with donuts?! My favorite, coffee!! Lol This is a one stop shop for your sweet breakfast needs! Their coffee and donuts are equally amazing.
When you need something a little sweet and yummy and pumpkin!! These donuts check all the boxes!! Fresh and light with a unique brioche type dough and the best unique flavors. Tried several of the flavors but am always so happy when there's a pumpkin one waiting for me!!! But come early, the sold out sign on the front door (which is good for business) is always so sad for me!!!!

I love donuts and cake cakes, but I've been on the hunt for some delicious donuts since I've been here. I haven't been wild until I tried Chin Up Donuts. Woman owned business. Amazing customer service!! I love walking into a place and you're greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. This place is super cute!! Now let's get to the donut, I've never had anything like this, it was a brioche chocolate doughnut with chocolate chips. I love when foods have a craveable effect and this one did it for me. I'll definitely be back!!!!
I stopped here with a few friends and we decided to do a donut tasting. We had the flavors of the day which were root beer and watermelon. The watermelon was good it tasted like a jolly rancher. We weren't impressed with the root beer. However, the everything bagel was soooo good! The lavender was yummy! And there was a brown sugar one that tasted like a plate of pancakes. The lemon poppyseed was not bad either. This place is super cute and the ambiance is so inviting. Staff was super friendly and engaging. In had an iced mushroom coffee which was on point! I don't do donuts a lot, when I do I will definitely be back here.
I got out of bed craving donuts. Chin Up Donuts looked promising. Glazed donut with sprinkles was a rich brioche with glaze on top that had delicious sweet flavor. Vanilla donut had a vanilla glaze which had a mild sweetness so you could taste the flavor of the brioche donut. Very tasty with the mild vanilla flavor, Lavender donut was full of lavender flavor and a blast of sweetness. Chin Up Donuts start with the same brioche base and have different flavor and sweetness levels based on the topping. These brioche donuts are richer and denser than the yeast based donuts I usually eat. My favorite was the lavender donut. Delicious but it was too sweet to eat the whole donut all at once. The lady at the counter was very nice and helpful. Very cheery considering it was before 7am.
I do-nut know which one I want! When at Chin Up donuts you can't go wrong. All of their donuts are so delicious and they have amazing drinks as well! The owner is so friendly and helpful with choosing what donut to get. The north Scottsdale location is bright and inviting. It would be a great place to meet friends or work! read more
I'm writing this review with keeping the time I went in mind. I went towards closing and ordered the 4 donuts that were left; strawberry, Oreo, everything bagel, and brioche cheesecake donut. The donuts themselves are good. Definitely brioche. The icing is also very flavorful. The everything bagel was a MISS. I love weird stuff so I thought why not, but everything bagel seasoning on a donut is not for me. The filled donut we got also was a miss because of its hard outer layer. The filling was yummy but the outside looked burnt. I'll have to come back earlier when there is more of a selection and when they're fresher. read more

At first, I was delighted by the marketing, very clever to play on emotions of "cheer up, there's always donuts" something to that effect. Cause heaven knows don't we all love donuts?! The decor is pleasant , clean and casual. Bathrooms very nice and adorned with good amenities. The place is a nice place to sit, read , enjoy coffee and eat a donut. It would be even better if the donuts tasted good. The donuts are messy looking , as if a 5 yo decorated them after licking their fingers, they're dry and have a remnant flavoring of old frying oil. Many of the donuts are over fried to a very dark brown. The cinnamon bun donut was so dark it looked black. I ordered the Oreo cookie covered vanilla donut and I tasted sugar and oil on first bite. It was a very heavy cake donut, unlike the light airiness of a typical fried donut. I also had their mushroom iced coffee. That was delicious and worth going back for. So all in all, it's good for coffee, but in my opinion not great for donuts. Lastly, I found it expensive. $12+ for a medium specialty coffee and a donut ( a little larger than avg size). read more

I came into Chin Up Donuts for the first time a few weeks ago. I don't live near north Scottsdale, but I was in the area for the day and wanted to try it! I ended up getting an iced chai latte and 4 donuts to share with a couple other people. The store is in a great location, and the inside was super cute! I got there at 9am and there was already a sold out flavor, and I did hear that these donuts sell out fast. I decided to get 2 vegan flavors and 2 regular flavors. Out of all the flavors, my two favorite were vegan lemon poppyseed, and vegan sprinkles. The other two flavors were strawberry basil and lavender. I do like that the flavors are always changing with the exception of a few that are always there. But one thing I didn't like was that the donut bases were all the same, and the icing on top is what made the flavor. The actual donut base is good but a little dense, not as light and fluffy as I'd like. Also the icing didn't really stick to the donut, like it broke off from the base. I would come back to Chin up to try other flavors, but I think I'll wait until their new location opens! That one will be a little closer to me. read more

This place is beyond adorable!!! Stopped here for a quick treat and it did not disappoint in the decoration or vibe! I love the burnt orange and natural tones. It's cozy yet very trendy and the displace case for their donuts is beautiful. Now for the main attraction the donuts!!! They have the right amount of frosting/glaze. The dough is thicker, almost cake like. They weren't overly sweet which was nice as the frosting/glaze was very sweet. This place is definitely worth a try! Really fun little shop with great coffee and donuts! What drew me here was a review about gluten free donuts - here is the lowdown: they CAN do GF donuts but require 48hrs notice to clean the kit h for production. You can order them online ahead of time and then go pick them up! Unfortunately we did t know that going in so we didn't get to try any but their regular donuts looked incredible! Brioche style donuts that looked light and fluffy. The coffee was really solid and it was a fun retro environment. I would absolutely recommend this great little spot for a casual morning donut and coffee! read more
I wanted to pick up a vegan treat for my sister and I saw Chin Up Donuts was nearby. From the outside it seems pretty chill but once you walk inside you get hugged by a happy tangerine palette. The friendly employee gave me a brief introduction to their brioche donuts, which are just a little more bready than your average yeast or cake donut. I chose the birthday cake vegan donut and a lavender donut for myself. Though a bit pricey for donuts, the vibes are so fun and their donuts are delicious bread pillows. Very worth it. I had a client who really wanted a doughnut so I told him the next visit I had I would bring them one. I did not realize that this would be harder than I thought they was not many donut shops. The one I found that was closest to them happen to be closed and there was a Dunkin' Donuts but it was quite a ways and to be honest I'm not a big fan of their donuts. So I found this place and decided to give it a shot. I got to meet the owner I believe her name was Alex. It was a busy day so they were running out of donuts. But thankfully I had enough to get one for both clients. Great service, decor was adorable. And my clients enjoyed their donuts and I ate what they didn't choose which was the a latte donut and strawberry lemonade and both was delicious. Definitely recommend read more
I've tried these donuts twice now and thought it's time to review this spot. My manager gifted me a half dozen donuts and I was excited to try them all. This business is known for their unique and unorthodox flavor combinations, such as Sriracha and everything bagel. I first tried the Sriracha one, being a big fan of the hot sauce, and found it to be intriguing. It had a kick to it with some red pepper flakes on top but being a donut, it was of course sweet. The everything bagel flavor tasted just like the bottle you get from Trader Joe's. My favorite out of this batch was the brown butter sea salt. Such a nice combination of sweet and salty, good stuff. The double chocolate was fine, had some chocolate chips on there for texture. And the lemon poppyseed had a lemon flavor to it but was on the sweet side for me. Overall pretty good, but I have to say I've been ruined by Mochi donuts. I now expect donuts to all be light and chewy and this wasn't the case; these donuts are more on the cakey/briochey side which accounts for the 1 star off. My friend and I stopped in here to sit for breakfast. We both had a delicious lavender donut and I also drank a lavender oatmilk latte. They had other interesting flavors ex. siracha donut?!? but we decided to play it safe lol. The person working the counter was awesome.This place is really cute and decorated super trendy. We ordered donuts from Chin Up yesterday and they are a sight to behold! So many flavors and artfully constructed - if I felt compelled to put what I eat on social media, these would be a star. I should mention that I am more of a traditional donut person so my bias is clear. These donuts are REALLY sweet. I found myself wanting a less sweet donut so I could enjoy the topping more. The very sweet donut with the very sweet topping was just a lot. Now, the everything bagel donut solves that problem! What a creative and interesting idea. It's sounds off-putting but if you like salty/sweet, it's worth trying. The s'mores donut was visual perfection. Marshmallows were burned perfectly! And the lemon poppyseed was probably my favorite. This is a North Scottsdale gem and also the best specialty donut place I've tried in all of Arizona. Chin Up offers a range of brioche donuts from traditional comfort flavors to over the top creative ones. My favorite is lavender fields or their OG cinnamon roll. We go here every chance we get and I use them for my go to catering place as their mini donuts make the perfect party favors, or work day morning pick me ups to share with my coworkers! Our only wish was that they opened at least a half hour earlier so we can swing by before work. Also the workers/owner are always so sweet and nice when we visit! read more

This place gets an A+ from us! The place has a great ambiance, from the decor to the music playing. The donuts are delicious! Not overly sweet and no greasy aftertaste. I had the S'mores drink and it was so yummy! Just a hint of chocolate. Not overly sweet. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. read more
