This was very unique boba place, why? Because they offer more foamy drink item then other places which is great to see, especially if you want more unique option. Once I saw they had tiramisu foam drink that I HAD TO GET IT! I love tiramisu so this place having it was a win. The drink itself is a win! I enjoyed the foam and the drink itself, the flavors' was amazing as I drank it. I do love the cups that comes in but the drank itself was amazing. I also order the nuggets, they were great too, spicy and crunchy! My review is mostly on the tiramisu foam drink because that drink is hard to find. Also forgot the staff, they were very nice and helpful. Please do be patient while waiting because they are doing amazing especially busy time. Oh! Very cute and clean interior, large menu with plenty of options for toppings and teas as well as proper social distancing measures. This place is different from other mainstream bubble tea shops. It's more of a dessert tea shop that's higher-quality. This is a great place for a cute date with friends or a significant other. To start, the place is clean, aesthetically pleasing, comfortable, and even has an old Volkswagen truck that you can sit in! (and it even lights up). There aren't many outlets, however. I don't think this place would be a good place to study post-COVID for that reason. I went during their soft opening. The place is cute and the staff were very helpful in helping you decide on a drink. Drinks are customizable, and you can add toppings, change ice/sugar levels, and modify. Drinks did not take long to come out, which I think is very good for a soft opening. The drinks are also made with care and the packing of the cups, cute shovel spoons for the milk foam, etc. we're all aesthetic and perfect for its desired function. Their drinks are totally instagramable. As for the taste, the teas were a great flavor. I got a green milk tea latte and my friend got the roasted oolong tea latte. Both had tiramisu milk foam. The foam is so fluffy, soft, and delicious! it was great (and I usually don't go for drinks with milk foam). The roasted oolong tea latte was very flavorful, while the green milk tea latte is made with more of a matcha powder rather than jasmine tea base. My favorite part was scooping out the tea foam with the cute shovel! Overall, this place is great. I will definitely come back with all the variation of options on the menu this might be a frequent place to visit for the next couple of months. I've very picky on two things from a tea shop, first sweetness of the tea, the ability to adjust is very important for me, and ability to taste actual tea flavors is what makes me decide if I will come back to a place or not. Second, the right firmness and chewiness of the boba. It has to be just right, not mushy not hard as a rock. Tan cha passes my preference of tea place. Added bonus is it has a beautiful large space for you to catch up with friends so again highly recommend for anyone who wants quality tea with a enjoyable space. If you're thinking, "Let me stop and grab bubble tea real quick." This is NOT your place. Don't come on your lunch break cause you will definitely be late getting back. I've been in multiple times and every single time I've had to wait. On one occasion, I ordered through Yelp and still had to wait when I arrived bc they were out of boba and were waiting to see what other topping I'd like. They could have called but didn't. On the most recent visit, my sister and I placed our order at 3:30 and didn't get our drinks til 4. Thirty minutes for two drinks. Their line of production obviously lacks efficiency. Don't get me wrong, the drinks here are worth five stars. Authentic milk tea flavor, perfectly made boba, and the tiramisu foam is to die for. A staple in the Buford highway boba must trys. My friends and I were nearby eating a local restaurant and once we were stuffed from dinner, it was time to stuff our second stomach, the dessert bellies. I frequent this place whenever I'm in the area as it has never let me down. Walking in, you're immediately greeted by an empty shell of a van, and a aesthetic yet simple decoration around the restaurant. As for the food, Tan Cha has exceptional snacks such as signature Taiwanese fried chicken. It also has unique foam flavors that come in either cheese foam or tiramisu foam. The boba drink flavors are also amazing. Their top 10 list is fantastic and you can't go wrong with any of them (though the fruit based ones are definitely weaker than their milk teas in my opinion). I got the cheezy grape with 70% sweet and less ice which was recommended by the server and it was exceptional. The drink itself was pure bliss. If I could give a 4.5, I would. The only issue for me was that the boba was too tough. I believe as a boba restaurant, the boba needs to be perfect as the drink itself to earn the 5 star rating. I have tried a couple of drinks and I love their high mountain green tea. It is very fragrant, and I normally get it with their cheese foam which is VERY thick but tasty! Boba milk tea shops are normally a hit or miss, and I've been here a couple times and they seem to do a pretty fine job with keeping up with the consistency which is a huge must and plus, especially since I am an out of towner. Tan-Cha is my new favorite ATL go-to spot for when I am visiting and craving for a cup or two of good ole' milk teas. Their tiramisu foam is definitely worth the calories and you're gonna keep wanting to come back for more. It's so good! I normally get the least amount of sugar so it's great that they allow you to adjust the sugar level. The inside is very clean, simple, and spacious. Amazing quality bubble tea. Place is clean, welcoming, and plenty of seating areas. You have to try the bubble teas with foam to get the real tan-cha experience.
