It came with tiramisu foam that perfectly complements the flavor of the roasted oolong. I would HIGHLY recommend it. We also got an Uji matcha with cheese foam. This one was good and exactly what you'd expect from a matcha as well as a cheese foam. The one struggle I had with this was getting past the foam to the actual drink since the layer of foam on top seemed pretty dense. Both were 50% sugar which I don't recommend if you want to taste the tea haha ): Gotta go back to try it at full sugar (I probably should've done that especially since this is my first time here lol)! After a few minutes of looking through their drink menu, my friend wanted to ask for recommendations. They also serve a couple flavors of crepe cakes by the slice. For those that don't like the cheese foam or milk teas, they also have fruity and slush is ones. I had the oolong peach with cheese foam. You can choose the sweetness levels and I got mine at half (less) but it still had a fresh flavor. The cheese foam is nice and thick and lasts the entire drink without melting into the tea. The tiramisu foam withstands as well and gives an added dessert taste to the drink. They make each drink to order and the quality of the drinks and the cups they use make a difference. There's structure parking on Catalina with valet for $3. If you're in the area during the week day later at night you can sometimes find an empty meter down the side street. On a midnight, we decided to go to this place with some friends. I got the tiramisu foam ceylon milk tea, which is the best seller here, with caramel boba. Overall, it is decent, but I have had much better boba before. Honestly, there is not really any apparent caramel taste in the boba, and the boba is pretty mushy and somewhat bland. The milk tea, however, has a great aroma. Top it off with tiramisu foam, and you get a really nice drink minus the boba. The primary reason I gave 2 stars was they almost ripped us off. Make sure you check your receipt!!! Just because it's late at night doesn't mean people are unaware of the cost of the drinks! When the total came out to be $32 for 5 drinks, something isn't right, because pretty much all the drinks, even after tax, is $6 max. When we checked the receipt, they charged us $3 for caramel boba!!! It's 50 cents for a topping, don't assume we don't check the itemized receipt. Having tried so many boba shops in Ktown (Boba Story, Yummy Cafe, the chains of I Love Boba and the Boba Times), I was craving something new, something different and Tan-Cha fit the bill. On a random Monday night, Tan-Cha was surprisingly packed. Every table was taken and we're behind 3 other parties. The expectation bar was definitely raised a bit. Tiramisu Milk tea (Royal Ceylon milk tea) - out of the 3 Tiramisu drink choices, the Ceylon tea stood out to me. And wow! I really enjoyed the flavor. The tea was strong. The top layer of Tiramisu was definitely creamy, a little salty, but not overpowering. Like others have said, don't just stick a straw in and start sucking at the tea. Instead, pop open the lid. Tilt your drink. Let the slow lava-like tiramisu cream puff foam slowly flow into your mouth while the faster, less viscous milk tea gushes out from underneath. The combination is almost like having a cake while having your afternoon English tea all in one sip. The grapefruit (seasonal) iced shake drink was also excellent. I nod my heads as I taste the pulp. It's as if I'm drinking grapefruit squeeze straight out of the fruit and into my mouth. I'm definitely excited to return and try the other options Caution: order less than $20 will have to pay a credit card processing fee. I'm not sure how legal that is but $20 is a quite a steep cut off. Granted the drinks are $5-6 so it's on the expensive side, one will still need to buy at least 4 drinks in one order to avoid paying extra fee on credit card. I am a big fan of anything tiramisu flavored, so I was instantly intrigued by this place when I came across their menu. First cafe that I've been to that offers tiramisu milk tea, and they even offer 3 different kinds! The cashier told me that the T3 (Royal Ceylon milk tea with tiramisu puff cream) is most popular, but it has a heavier tea taste as well as heavier cream. I decided to get the T1 (Red Jade black milk tea with tiramisu puff cream). I don't believe they have non-dairy options because the lady seemed really confused when I asked what kind of milk is used to make the milk tea. The tiramisu milk teas only come in one size, and it's a bit pricey ($5.20 with tax). Nonetheless, the drink tastes really good - just make sure to drink it correctly! When I initially drank it from the cup, I only got a taste of the tiramisu topping, which was very thick and creamy. When I drank it out of a straw, I just got a taste of the plain milk tea. I didn't want to mix the drink at first because it would mess up the aesthetics. However, the drink tastes so much better when mixed. The sweet topping blends well with the plain milk tea taste. On top of that, the chocolate balls that they add on top are also good. I got to it towards the end of my drink and it was a nice surprise! I really liked the crunchiness of it - it's kind of like a mini version of those Whoppers chocolate balls. The space inside is rather small and it does get pretty packed. I've been wanting to go and try other drinks, but for some reason I always seem to get the same drink. The royal Ceylon milk tea was good. The amount of ice makes it harder to drink the tiramisu foam.the big pieces of ice also got in the way of the boba, which made me fish for them. Good drink, too much ice (or the ice is too big). My friend got strawberry green tea and thought it was way too sweet. To me it feels like this place is better for the sweet drinks. Which I don't do often, but if I'm in the mood for one, I will come here. There are still 2 other drinks I've wanted to try from here. One would be the matcha and the brulee one. Parking situation is always bad in this area tbh, so keep that in mind. read more
