Since going there, I have met their full staff and they are all equally nice and helpful! Their beds are always clean and they beds are all pretty new and give me a really good tan. I'm so surprised some of these people have had bad experiences at Tan. The salon and beds are always clean, and the staff is always nice and helpful. I'm fair-skinned but like to tan and the staff have helped me to get the color I want without burning once! That's a lot more than I can say for some of the other places I've gone in town! I wanted to try out tanning. I called around a few places, then I called this place. The girl (Natalia I think), stayed on the phone with me for over 15 minutes answering all my questions. I went in not even ten minutes later and it was very clean inside, very welcoming. The bed I had was very comfortable and everything seems very top of the line. Did my first tan here yesterday. I bought a 30 day package for $55. We are headed to a beach/pool vacation in a couple of weeks and I needed a base tan before we go. Used the standup bed for my first tan. Staff was pleasant, showed me how to use the bed, said hello and goodbye (this can be rare in Santa Cruz), answered a couple of questions I had and even greeted the guests who came in behind me while she was getting me set up. The room I was in appeared clean. The bulbs in my machine appeared to be in working order and not old. The selection of products was not what I am used to in a tanning salon. They could offer a wider selection. Although their selection did cover a fairly decent range of prices from around $45 to $90. That is a plus. I would recommend this place based on my experience thus far. I will be going in several more times before our vacation and also trying the spray tan services. If my rating or experience change, I will provide an updated review. For now, it's a recommendation. read more

They sell candles through their store; I bought one for $50, and paid before I got it. They ran my card through the store, so I didn't get a reciept for the actual candles, but for tans. I never got a call back about my order, so I had to keep asking about it. The manager started to avoid me, told me they were on back order, and ran off to the back room when ever she saw me. This business betrayed my trust, and ultimately stole $50 from me. I do NOT recommend spending your money here! read more

My friend and I came here for airbrush tans last week. My initial chat on the phone was friendly (I really apologize to her, I did forget her name), but she was totally cool with me that I called several times with different questions or to "update" on my plans. My friend and I both really liked our airbrush technician, Kimber, who was super friendly, helpful, and made us both feel very comfortable. She answered questions we had about how to extend the life of the tan and gave some alternative options to try after leaving. If I could I'd give Tan a 4.5/5, only because the airbrush was pretty expensive. However, they were organic ingredients, and the price is obviously not up to the awesome employees. I also don't know this price in comparison to other places...Either way, Kimber was awesome and I would go back based on her work. read more

This place is so great! It's always exceptionally clean and the girls are very informative, helpful and super friendly. They have alot of different packages but I bought one month unlimited tanning and it was such a good deal and I got a ton of color! All the beds are great! Overall tan is AMAZING!!! I've been to almost every tanning salon in Santa Cruz, and I have to admit Laura who helped sign me up with the monthly package and explain to me every possible option is the best. Not only was she helpful, but every time I have been to tan since she has been just as friendly and personable. She is exactly the kind of employee a business needs to keep their customers coming. I just started tanning here a few weeks ago. I got a group on for the versa spa spray tan because it was an amazing deal. The girl at the counter was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. She even explained preparation for the spray, I called before I went in for the first time to make an appointment since the group on says its required. However I didn't need one and only had to wait about two minutes to tan. When I went in the salon it was super busy but the girl working still took the time to go over with me on the positions and how the machine drys and talks to you too but she still demonstrated all the positions even though there was pics on the wall. My tan was so perfect, I was terrified I would come out orange, I didn't get orange I had a perfect brown color on my skin and no streaks. When I was done the girl working made sure to ask me how did you like it and she explained all the after math of the up keep too. Before I left she gave me a tour of the salon and told me about all their services, when my sprays are out I def plan on coming back here and tanning. read more
