Wow, just wow. This place is a hidden gem. Protect this place at all costs!! Seriously though, this is the best Indian Cuisine I have ever experienced. My girl friend is Vegetarian and I eat meat, they made all the adjustments she requested with her little picky eating self (haha) and made my tikka masala the perfect amount of spicy. Garlic Nan was nice and hot and packed with flavor, we also had the Vegetarian Biriyani and the Reita with the refreshing Mango Lassi. Man, this place was Amazing. It's a small restaurant with full sized windows so you can see the blue sky and palm trees while you eat! Manjit was our server and he was so hospitable, took great care of us and was so helpful with making adjustments, aiding us with pronunciation (haha) and making us feel right at home. 12/10 all around, come here!!! The place was empty when we came in around 3PM, they deserve more business and more people deserve to try their amazing food. That is all!!

Tamarind and Mint Chutney

Yum yum YUM! We ordered the following: - Chana Masala https://bit.ly/42jeHBw - Baigan Bharta https://bit.ly/43i3NwY - Papadam https://bit.ly/42jSjYu Everything was so flavorful to the point where it may have been one of the best chana masala, baingan bharta, and papadam that I've ever had. Even tamarind chutney and mint chutney caught my attention. These condiments are something that I'm usually indifferent about. I'm glad that the food was worth the price because according to Hubby, he felt that this place is pricier than other Indian restaurants we've been to. The service was good and helpful. They let me know that their naan contains milk. They also let me know that they could make the baingan bharta without dairy. I didn't realize that this dish could contain dairy so I'm glad they told me. The dining room is small and though we were seated right away on a Saturday evening after 8pm, the tables around us were constantly busy with new parties. Major thanks to the previous Yelp reviews who gave us the tip to park in the dental office lot next door. Since we were there in the evening, it worked out perfectly for us. We saw that narrow steep driveway for Tandoor-A-India. Yikes!

I decided to finally try Indian food after seeing all the hype on Tiktok! I have to say I was impressed. I decided I wanted to order the Butter chicken and the Chicken Tikka Masala. After ordering both the chef came out and said they both tasted very similar so he wouldn't recommend ordering both. That was a little disappointing BUT he recommended the Chicken Korma. I'm so glad he did. That was delicious! I had the chicken Korma and butter chicken. The chicken korma was definitely my favorite. Chicken Korma 10/10 I also ordered the vegetable samosas and they were sooo good! Recommend these 10/10. The only complaint I have is that they were cold on the inside. Even cold they tasted great. I also had the mango lassi. Also delicious. I can see how that can come in handy if you are spiced out. Garlic naan 10/10 I will be back!! Huge fan!

Discovered Tandoor-A-India was near via Yelp, after leaving a Yelp movie event & craving Indian food on Tuesday night. Everything we ate was absolutely flavorful & delicious. I would easily dine here again! Ordered & Shared w/Side of Rice: Bhindi Masala: Absolutely mouthwatering delicious. I love okra & this dish was my favorite, combined with tomatoes and onions and more, oh my!! My taste buds were happily rejoicing!! Aloo Gobi: Love cauliflower; full of flavor & loved the seasoning/sauce/spices. Yum! Naan: Thinner than most, but plentiful & glistening w/ghee! Also tasted different than most naan I've tried & still loved it! Customer Service: Incredibly nice, welcoming, as well as attentive! Decor: Had once ordered to go; first time dining inside. Casual. Wonderful, almost candle-lit low lighting. We sat by a mirrored wall, which displayed a pretty pink rose in a tall vase on the table! The sitar hanging on the wall immediately reminded me of a dinner I had in India, while the festive strumming sounds via the sitar player filled the air with beautiful music & he wore such colorful clothing. Fun memory! Love India! Atmosphere: There were several tables put together filled with upbeat guys, about a row away from us. Perhaps a celebration or a Guys Night Out?! The restaurant played beautiful Indian music & was more at ease when the excitable group left. Overall: Excited to dine here again (dinnerware is so pretty!) or get an order to go, as the food is incredible! Plenty of leftovers too, yay!!

We ordered takeout today, so I can't comment on the ambiance. The service was courteous, but despite my husband mentioning three times that there must not be cilantro in the food, to please put some on the side, the aloo gobi and naan were thoroughly covered and infused with cilantro. There was none on the side, only in the food and on one of the only dishes, which was one of the only ones I could have eat because I don't eat chicken and don't like paneer much. The pakora was soggy. The food had no spice at all today and was very salty. I guess they must cater to a different demographic now. I'm so sad. We always liked this restaurant. It is just not the same.o

Food here is really amazing so much flavor in their tikka masala. It's a small little location very quiet inside. Vegi samosa are also very good. Depending on who is there the service can be really fast or kinda slow but everything is worth the wait.

Funny enough, I've passed this restaurant so many times and was always curious about it, but never actually went in until now. The restaurant has that classic old-school Italian mom-and-pop feel to it. It sits right on the corner of a busy intersection and definitely gives off a traditional, cozy vibe. I will say parking is pretty rough. We came on a Thursday evening and got lucky finding a spot right across the street in the front, but only after circling around a few times. Once we walked inside, we were told we could sit wherever we liked. There were already a few customers dining in. It was actually colder inside than outside, but we ended up sitting all the way in the back at a booth next to the window with the sun shining in, which made it really nice and comfortable. The service was great, very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The atmosphere overall was enjoyable. The salad was delicious. The dressing had really good flavor, and the walnuts and goat cheese paired well together. My son loved the spaghetti and meatballs and finished it almost immediately. I also really liked the flavor of the Alfredo sauce, it tasted authentic. Overall, the pasta dishes were very good. The only downside, and probably the reason I'd give this place 4 stars instead of 5, was the chicken. On both dishes, the chicken was dry and lacked flavor. The chicken in the piccata tasted dry and didn't really absorb the seasoning, and the same issue happened with the Alfredo dish. The pasta itself was great, but the chicken just fell flat. I did enjoy the complimentary bread along with the garlic bread we ordered, and my son also liked the kids pizza. They also make their crème brûlée in-house, and it was really good a nice way to end the meal. Overall, everything else was great, and we would definitely come back.

What a wonderful surprise…read more I live just around the corner from Jamaica Bay Inn, and for whatever reason, it took me far too long to finally have dinner here with family and friends. I wish I'd discovered it sooner. The restaurant overlooks Mother's Beach, and the setting is exactly what you'd hope for: peaceful, relaxed, and quintessential Marina del Rey. You almost expect the view to be the highlight... Then the food shows up. For appetizers, we shared the hummus plate and the calamari. Both were excellent. As someone whose kids were practically raised eating seafood around the ports of New England, calamari is one of those deceptively simple dishes we judge pretty harshly. Beachside absolutely passed the test. I ordered the cheeseburger, which was solid, but the real stars of the evening were the roasted Jidori chicken and the jumbo shrimp fettuccine. The chicken was perfectly juicy, something that sounds easy but surprisingly few restaurants consistently get right. The shrimp fettuccine completely stole the show. In fact, it's now become my daughter's regular takeout order, and she's easily the toughest pasta critic in our family. Congratulations... you've officially earned the title of our favorite pasta spot in the Marina. The service was another highlight. Our server spoke both German and Italian, had a great sense of humor, and made the evening feel warm and effortless. Between the location, the food, and the hospitality, I already know this is going to become one of our regular family dinner spots.
