Always just had carry out from Tandoor grill. However, my husband wanted to give them a try. We decided to start his birthday night with dinner here. The food was amazing and full of flavors. Started off with the Vegetable Samosas, an appetizer. As for dinner I had the Vegetable Jhalfrezi, he went with the Chicken Korma because of yelp reviews. I loved my meal and good portion. On the other hand, there are a few veggies I will not eat like eggplant, zucchini, squash and cauliflower. I mentioned it to the waiter, however I still managed to get all of the above. But it turned out great, didn't notice until half way in the meal. Maybe it was just an honest but good mistake. Can't wait to go back and try a different curry, place highly recommended. UPDATE: Return for another great "Dine In" experience. We decided to go with a different curry. My husband had the Lamb Vindaloo which was cooked to perfection. While I went with the Vegetable Vindaloo. I could definitely taste the difference in flavors of the two curries. He decided to take my advice on the level of spice. He requested hot, I warned him to go medium. The beginning of his meal he kept saying he could've gone hotter. Mid meal he felt the heat and thanked me. We also tried the garlic naan this time around but wasn't to fond of that one. The garlic was either from the jar or marinated in vinegar. I was expecting a more fresh garlic taste. For dessert we shared a bowl of their version of Ice Cream. I'm not big on sweets so it was pretty good as far as sweetness. It's kind of hard to say if I liked it or not. I really couldn't taste the flavors due to the spices in my meal. My pallets were overwhelmed by dessert time. But my husband definitely enjoyed it could be because his mouth was burning...lol. Yet another enjoyable dinner with hubby. Oh yeah, they were more than happy to honor my $5off/$50.00 for checking in. Come give them a try, you won't regret it. read more

I've ordered here multiple times and their 2 other locations in Rockville Centre and Baldwin. My favorite dish is the goat saag, so no matter what other things i order, I always order that dish, and all 3 location, the dishes are very flavorful and delicious but also very inconsistent. The 3 locations do not taste the same. I think Tandoor Grill makes it the best but the issue is their portion. The last 3 times i've ordered from the Long Beach location, 2 uber eats and 1 pick up, their goal saag was mostly bones. Lacked meat, especially in comparison to the other 2 location. Baldwin is the most generous... but not as good in flavor. read more

Bring your own beer/wine is always awesome. Servers can help explain the menu if you're new to this food and it's all delicious. Tandoor Grill, A hidden secret in Long Beach, NY....Found it on a whim with my wife and friend when we were looking for food and it was well worth it! We all had the Alu Paratha, Veggie Samosa, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Yellow Dal Tadka. They were all amazing and delicious!! Tandoor Grill is my all-time favorite place to go to! My husband and I found it searching through Yelp and have been back at least 6 times since. Each time is just as great as the last! The quality of the food is amazing - this was the first place I've ever tried Indian food and I was so impressed!!! The Jerk kebab is my go-to and my husband loves the Tandoori chicken. Enjoyed lunch at this Long Beach Indian restaurant. Started with a nice, flavorful veggie samosa. The jerk kebob, though delicious, will make you break out in a cold sweat it was that spicy. The chicken jalfrezi was prepared much different than I an use to. It was kind of a shiny red sauce with onion and peppers sliced thin. Very different flavor than anywhere I ever had it from but it was still very good and had a great blend of spices. Interior is a bit drab and service was just ok but prices are reasonable. Highly disappointed after I read all the good reviews. My husband and I ordered take-out. We each ordered one Mixed Tandoori grill from the dinner menu. The portion was so small! It looked more like an appetizer than a main entree. At $19.99 per order, and the most expensive item on the menu I really feel that we got ripped off. May be they made a mistake?? This is Raagini's (Baldwin location) sister restaurant with identical menu. Raagini is undergoing renovations and an expansion, so I made my way to Long Beach for a nice night out by the water. Samosa chaat to start is always a strong point, and it didn't let down. I also had an Indian tea (which isn't on the menu, just ask) but it was too milky for me. Still nice taste- but save this for dessert to go with a sweet. Had the Channa saag and my friend had chicken saag. I had mine medium and it was fantastic, and my friend had his dairy free (it's a creamed spinach curry) with zero problems from the kitchen staff. Overall, this place is larger than Raagini, but the ambiance isn't as "authentic" in my opinion. That's not a big deal to me, as the food is the main thing! We got there early on a Saturday just after 5pm and were the first ones of the dinner rush. This place was delicious..It was my first time going to an Indian restaurant and I was very impressed. I was looking for something with just veggies and not too spicy, and the waiter was so helpful. The dish he chose for me was great. The naan bread is incredible ..my boyfriend had a vegetable masala which tasted really good ! I can't remember the name of my dish, but if you show the pic I posted to the waiter he will probably know what type of veggie dish it was. I am so used to amazing Indian food in NYC, so I was surprised and impressed by this place.I grew up near here and had no idea we had such good Indian food around! ORDER THE SAMOSA CHAAT. I WISH I COULD USE EXPLETIVES BECAUSE IT IS THAT GOOD. Seriously. Tried the Malai Kofta and the Shahi Paneer (which was the closest we could find to Paneer Makani), and both were really good. I usually trek to Union Turnpike in Glen Oaks for good, authentic Indian food. When I saw Indian food come to Long Beach, I was super excited. While this unfortunately falls short when comparing to my favorite spot in Queens, the food was good nonetheless. The chicken korma was especially good. I would have given this place 5 stars but there's a major problem. They don't deliver to Lido Beach. I even offered to pay extra and they refused. If they would deliver to Lido, they'd get 5 stars. But because I have to pickup every time I want to bring food home, and of course spend 15 minutes looking for parking, 4 stars it is. Great place. Small inside. Doesn't fit many people. Good food. My girlfriend & I are Indian food virgins. One night, we had NO desire to cook, NO desire to eat the leftovers in the fridge and had no idea what our bodies wanted. That happens to other people, right? Anyway, we decided to be spontaneous and order Indian which we both NEVER do. I just guessed and ordered the Chicken Korma because the lady on the phone said it was milder, and my girlfriend who lives on Spicy food got the Shrimp Vindaloo which is known to be spicy (said on the menu) I loved my dish - It was a touch of sweet, didn't taste heavily of curry which I was afraid of, and a touch of spice. So I'll admit, I live in a very Indian saturated market and have become a bit of a critic when it comes to the Indian dishes that I know and enjoy. This place made me realize how much I'll miss good Indian food when I move. I was visiting friends that took me here and told me there are not too many Indian options in the area. They both had tikka masala and roti, and I went with chicken korma and onion kulcha. My dish was ok, not as creamy as I would have liked and there was something in the sauce- I don't think it was cashew because it was soft like a potato but had almost a fruit flavor- that was just not welcome. Chicken pieces were small and not as tender as I would have liked. Onion kulcha was delicious. The bite of tikka masala I had was also just ok. The chicken may have been a bit more tender, but the sauce just didn't do it for me. Not bad or inedible, I just didn't want anymore after tasting it. $50+ for 3 meals and some bread... maybe a little pricey, but I don't really know the market as I don't live here. Overall, not a bad local option. I'm glad I have more options for Indian where I live. read more

I came here, family in tow, after months of my brother raving about this place after he visited it with friends. I think he was on to something. We ordered the usual fixtures that we get at any Indian meal (chicken tikka, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, garlic naan), plus a shrimp biryani. Solid choice for Indian in the area. Ask specifically for spicy if you like it, otherwise, they err on the side of very mild food. I'm a fan of their naan, samosa chaat and their kormas. Service is generally very nice and they're BYOB which is awesome (liquor store nearby). My only gripe is that they are a bit inconsistent. Sometimes their food is awesome, sometimes it's just average. Not sure if the cooks are different by day or what, but I'll still keep going to this place. read more
