We had no particular plans to have Indian food for lunch. But we saw this place while walking around the Belttown and everyone wants to try it. It had a classy look from outside and Ambiance was great. It was a late lunch and this place wasn't busy. We walked in and they allowed us to pick any tables. The interior was nicely done - Indian cultural vibes everywhere. They have a few good options on their menu - soups, salads, appetizers, rice options, tandoor specials, entrees - veg, chicken, lamb & seafood - and desserts. It's a $$ place. We ordered a Chicken Biryani, Goat Biryani, Chicken Karahi and butter naan. Around 20 mins for the food to arrive. Was impressed by the Karahi and the naan - great combination. It was flavorful and felt an authentic touch. But the biryanis were disappointing to be fair. Lacked the flavors. Pretty much the same taste both chicken and goat biryanis. Big thumbs down on those! The service was decent. We were greeted and warm welcome. It was scorching and they decided not to turn on the air conditioning, instead they kept a pedestal stand fan. That was crazy since we were sweating through out! Also, they added a 20% service charge for us and never mentioned us about it. We ended up giving a generous tip at the end and when the final bill was handed over, more than 30% was tip! I am ok with it, but be transparent!

I used to love this place, but it's changed hands and isn't as good. I've now given them three chances. Since it's the only Indian restaurant within walking distance of my office, and my coworker thought it was okay, I'll probably be back at some point. My most recent food experience:The butter chicken was sweet and watery. The cauliflower in the aloo gobi was soggy. Rice was okay. The garlic naan was good. Service is a little iffy. At all visits the servers were a little standoffish. If I'm coming at lunch, I need prompt service so I can get back to work. On my recent visit, the server was sitting at a table on the phone right in my sight line. It didn't seem like she was in a rush to come take our order. On my first visit, day 2 after reopening, the new owner said he owned other restaurants downtown, so I thought they just needed to work the kinks out. If this is indicative of what I'd get at their other restaurants, I won't be trying them.

Butter chicken served family style so this was after my grandson served himself.

This was so good. We had the garlic and basil naan, butter chicken, onion bhaji, served with a green sauce that I could have spread on everything it was so fresh and good, mango chutney, gulab jamun. It was all good. I have not had the gulab jamun served cold before but it was very good. Service was fast, polite. If we can get back here we will.

Hut hut hut, attention please- you need to make a stop at this spot in Belltown! My friends and I were jonesing for Indian food for dinner after going to Us the Duo's concert at the Crocodile. Just a few blocks away was this spot. We were the only ones there, and we got all the love from the staff, which turned out to be all family members! We were served by Roshin aka "Sing," and she said that her husband was the chef in the back. We got: - vegetable pakora ($6.95): mixed vegetable fritters. These were packed with flavor! - samosa chat ($9.95): vegetable samosa with garbanzo beans. This was filled to the brim and the exterior was perfectly crispy. - garlic and basil naan ($3.95): bread topped with onions, cilantro, and spices. This was slightly over toasted and not as buttery as I would've liked, but for the portion you get, this was well worth the price. - lamb korma ($16.95): saffron cashew nut curry with lamb. This was tender. Will have to say that the lamb was really gamey though. Not sure if that's a bad thing or not LOL. The dish came with biryani, which soaked up the remaining curry well. We learned that the business has been in operation since 2010, and they have a Wednesday and Thursday lunch buffet, which I'll have to check out before dance one day!

Couldn't recommend enough! We stopped by for the lunch buffet, and even though the selection isn't huge, every dish was delicious. The naan was fresh, the tandoori chicken was juicy, even the chicken breast in the butter chicken wasn't overcooked (a frequent gripe with butter chicken). The family running the place is also extremely kind and friendly! Given the great food, friendly staff, and reasonable price ($21/person for lunch buffet), we'll definitely be returning in the future.

Yummmy! Five stars for the tasty chicken korma and butter chicken!! We devoured both of our plates. Everything here is a la carte so be advised that it maybe a little pricey. Added to our dish order we had plain naan and rice, an order each. Although the price was higher than we're use to, the taste made up for the cost. There was nothing leftover, that's how delicious it was. They close between lunch and dinner so don't show up at 3. They reopen at 4 but the sign says 5 for dinner. We showed up early so we walked around the corner to kill time as they prepped.

So good! We had a wonderful experience at this small, charming restaurant. It's family-run, and the woman who greets you at the door is probably the sweetest woman you will ever meet. I felt like she was my aunt who really wanted to make sure that we had a good meal. Her son works there, and was also very nice, and her husband cooks -- and he's a fantastic cook! We love northern Indian food, and this menu is very extensive. We had daal, spinach naan, tandoori shrimp, lamb, and vegetable curry. Everything was perfectly prepared and delicious! I washed my food down with a mango lassi -- so yummy! We were really happy.

There were a few other customers around 5:30 pm on a Sunday, but service was quick and very friendly. There are plenty of seats by the open windows. The food was delicious and very well seasoned. Imagine what Cava is trying to do but make it taste homemade and with love, and take out the corporate. That's what it tastes like. We took the leftovers to eat at the airport and even an hour and a half later it still tasted great. Highly recommend for an affordable bite in a great location downtown.

Every penny you spend here is absolutely worth it!…read more A true gem has opened up in downtown Seattle for anyone craving Indian street food with a modern twist! This Indian-Lebanese café has quickly become my go to spot over the past two and a half weeks and for good reason. So far, we've tried the Vada Pav, Pav Bhaji Tater Tots, Mumbai Panini, Chicken 65 Sandwich with fries, Paneer Tikka Wrap, Cauliflower Chili Garlic, and the Samosa Croissant. Every single dish has been consistently delicious and thoughtfully prepared. If you're missing authentic Indian street food flavors, this place absolutely hits the spot. The café is run by Chef Abhijit Sarkar himself, and that personal touch truly shows. He's incredibly humble, down to earth, and brings years of culinary experience to every dish. It's inspiring to see how well he's doing with this new venture, Seattle is lucky to have this place! Dish highlights: Samosa Croissant: A brilliant fusion and a perfect quick bite. Flaky, slightly sweet croissant on the outside with flavorful, spiced samosa filling inside. truly the best of both worlds. Pav Bhaji Tater Tots: The name itself made me curious, and it completely delivered. A fun, hands-free twist on classic pav bhaji flavors with Khakhra. Crispy, flavorful, and absolutely addictive. Vada Pav: The vada was perfectly cooked and not oily at all. Paired with soft brioche bread, the flavors were beautifully balanced. The fries on the side deserve a special mention. some of the best, least oily fries I've had, with a subtle peri peri kick. Chicken 65 Sandwich: An explosion of flavor! The chicken was incredibly tender and cooked to perfection. Hands down one of the best items on the menu spot on. Paneer Tikka Wrap: Generous in size and packed with flavor. The sauce is outstanding, and it's filling enough to be a complete meal. A must-try for paneer lovers. Cauliflower Chili Garlic: A delicious, crispy snack with bold flavors, finished with sesame seeds on top. Perfect for sharing or not! Overall, this café nails flavor, not at all oily, creativity, and consistency. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in downtown Seattle and looking for comfort food with a street-food soul and a modern twist.
