The Gobi Manchurian was very very tasty and the Paneer Tikka Tandoori was also decent as well. Their "Mild" spicy level is definitely an American "Mild" so if you wanted some kick, at the bare minimum go with their medium spicy level. The service was great and the food came out decently fast. Came here for lunch - flavors are authentic and vibrant, and I loved the two lentil dishes I split with a friend. The price came out reasonable, especially for the quality. Had the chole baturi and dal mukhni. Out of the two, the chole was definitely the winner. It comes with what they call a puffy bread, but is basically a balloon of fry bread. It wasn't as crisp as I liked, but the fried taste was delicate and the whole thing was delicious and perfect to eat with the curries. Reminded me of a Chinese donut! It had a classy look from outside and Ambiance was great. It was a late lunch and this place wasn't busy. We walked in and they allowed us to pick any tables. The interior was nicely done - Indian cultural vibes everywhere. They have a few good options on their menu - soups, salads, appetizers, rice options, tandoor specials, entrees - veg, chicken, lamb & seafood - and desserts. It's a $$ place. We ordered a Chicken Biryani, Goat Biryani, Chicken Karahi and butter naan. Around 20 mins for the food to arrive. Was impressed by the Karahi and the naan - great combination. It was flavorful and felt an authentic touch. But the biryanis were disappointing to be fair. Lacked the flavors. Pretty much the same taste both chicken and goat biryanis. Big thumbs down on those! The service was decent. We were greeted and warm welcome. It was scorching and they decided not to turn on the air conditioning, instead they kept a pedestal stand fan. That was crazy since we were sweating through out! Also, they added a 20% service charge for us and never mentioned us about it. I used to love this place, but it's changed hands and isn't as good. I've now given them three chances. Since it's the only Indian restaurant within walking distance of my office, and my coworker thought it was okay, I'll probably be back at some point. My most recent food experience:The butter chicken was sweet and watery. The cauliflower in the aloo gobi was soggy. Rice was okay. The garlic naan was good. Service is a little iffy. At all visits the servers were a little standoffish. If I'm coming at lunch, I need prompt service so I can get back to work. On my recent visit, the server was sitting at a table on the phone right in my sight line. It didn't seem like she was in a rush to come take our order. On my first visit, day 2 after reopening, the new owner said he owned other restaurants downtown, so I thought they just needed to work the kinks out. Hut hut hut, attention please- you need to make a stop at this spot in Belltown! My friends and I were jonesing for Indian food for dinner after going to Us the Duo's concert at the Crocodile. Just a few blocks away was this spot. We were the only ones there, and we got all the love from the staff, which turned out to be all family members! We were served by Roshin aka "Sing," and she said that her husband was the chef in the back. We got: - vegetable pakora ($6.95): mixed vegetable fritters. These were packed with flavor! - samosa chat ($9.95): vegetable samosa with garbanzo beans. This was filled to the brim and the exterior was perfectly crispy. - garlic and basil naan ($3.95): bread topped with onions, cilantro, and spices. This was slightly over toasted and not as buttery as I would've liked, but for the portion you get, this was well worth the price. - lamb korma ($16.95): saffron cashew nut curry with lamb. This was tender. Will have to say that the lamb was really gamey though. Not sure if that's a bad thing or not LOL. The dish came with biryani, which soaked up the remaining curry well. We learned that the business has been in operation since 2010, and they have a Wednesday and Thursday lunch buffet, which I'll have to check out before dance one day! read more

Never experienced fraudulent practices at a restaurant like this before; will not return. I found this place on Yelp, checked out their menu on their website, and came in. There was no A/C so sat outside. They handed out a menu. It matched what I saw online - no surprises. I ordered the food. The chicken in the Chicken Vindaloo was a little tough and grisly, so I ordered the Chicken Tikka Tandoori. I said nothing about not liking the Chicken Vindaloo - I was fine paying for both entrees. Then I asked for the check. Only one catch - everything is 50% higher than what was stated on the menu or online. Now, I've run into places that increased their prices and didn't re-print their menus. They update their website, put a note on the printed menus, or blot out the prices on the menus so there are no prices. Lots of options to communicate to customers that the printed menus don't have accurate prices. In this case, the printed menus matched the website prices and there was no notice anywhere of the prices being higher - and we're not talking 10% or 20% but 50%! I asked about the price difference. They acknowledged they didn't update the menus and said they didn't have access to their "old website" anymore and there's a new one now. After I left, I took a closer look and found that both their Google and Yelp business pages pointed to this "old website", so is it really their "old website" or their only website? And are they saying they don't have access to their Google page, Yelp page, or website? I find this difficult to believe. And even if this were true, they need to provide notice somehow that their printed menus aren't accurate. In the end, the ugliest part of the experience wasn't the 50% increase on the advertised prices - it was their acting like it was perfectly normal to just add 50% to the tab. I think this is why I just paid and left. NOTE: I have never used the word "fraud" to describe an eating out experience before. Fraud is defined as "wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain" which I felt best described the behavior I encountered. read more

Couldn't recommend enough! We stopped by for the lunch buffet, and even though the selection isn't huge, every dish was delicious. The naan was fresh, the tandoori chicken was juicy, even the chicken breast in the butter chicken wasn't overcooked (a frequent gripe with butter chicken). The family running the place is also extremely kind and friendly! Roshan seated us, the handsome, attentive son of the owners (his parents), and he put a quiet, smiling flourish to every detail, whether delivering our drinks or dinner orders. When I spoke with him about the history of the recipes, he explained they were from his grandmother in Northern India--it was very fascinating! Plus, when I told him I would be writing a review here on Yelp, he said his parents would enjoy reading it. Roshan doesn't engage in social media due to the fact he enjoys being the best server he can be, that he really loves his job and that he gives his attention to living a life of happiness without the intrusive aspects the internet interjects into our world! Oh, we should all be so mindful! Roshan's mother also stopped by the table -- she took our meal orders -- and was just as gracious. The food was DELICIOUS! I apologize I forgot to take photos, but we shared a samosa chaat (my favorite thing on the planet! The street version of a samosa with chickpeas, raw onions); a chicken tikki masala, garlic naan, saag paneer and the lightest, yummiest rice, as well. Family was visiting from out of town and were craving Indian food. They were very satisfied with what we got. Not too long of a wait, good size portions, and delicious tasting! Highly recommend their chicken tikka (tandoori specialty) and the delicious tikka masala to dip the naan in. Also ordered their mango lassi and was happy with how sweet it was. I usually get lassi that taste really sour from other places but this one really hit the spot. I may have found a place to satisfy my Indian food craving and will recommend this place to others. So good! We had a wonderful experience at this small, charming restaurant. It's family-run, and the woman who greets you at the door is probably the sweetest woman you will ever meet. I felt like she was my aunt who really wanted to make sure that we had a good meal. Her son works there, and was also very nice, and her husband cooks -- and he's a fantastic cook! Absolutely underrated restaurant alert!! I was really craving some Indian food and decided to give Tandoori Hut a try. I ended up getting to the restaurant pretty quick after placing my to-go order, so I knew I was going to have to wait. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they made sure I had a spot to sit while waiting for my order. They even ensured that my mango lassi was prepared and given first so that I could sip while waiting. The inside was cute, cozy, and absolutely an escape from the dreary outside. My food was ready quite quickly, and the prices were very reasonable as well, especially for the portions. Now, onto the food - mango lassi, chicken tikka masala, garlic and basil naan. Mango lassi - sweet, thick, and absolutely delicious. I had to pace myself to not accidentally drink the entire thing while waiting! The sweetness complemented the tanginess of the chicken tikka masala, which, despite not being very spicy, was incredibly flavorful. The gravy was thick enough to easily scoop with the soft naan, and they had a generous amount of chicken pieces. The garlic of the naan elevated the flavors of the meal, and I genuinely found it worth it over a regular naan. The chicken tikka also came with rice, but I was so hungry and the food was so good that I devoured it with just naan alone! Overall, this place is absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend it!! This may be my favorite restaurant in the entire city of Seattle. First and foremost, the ambiance in this place is incredible. The soft lighting, soft jazz, and beautiful decor (especially the paintings) all make it an incredible experience. It's cozy but not at all cramped. The service here is just how I like it. Attentive but not overbearing. Everyone treats you like a friend from the moment you walk in. On my third time in, they remembered my order without me even saying it. The food comes out incredibly fast and is served piping hot, as it should be! The flavors are what really make this place though. While I have my go to (Lamb Coconut Curry with Garlic and Basil Naan), I have tried other dishes. Everything has been superb. Well cooked, incredibly seasoned, and so well balanced. I feel like Tandoori hut is completely underrated. I cannot speak to the buffet but all the entrees I've tried have all been exceptional and extremely complex in flavor. Recently I had the butter chicken and it was FIRE!!!! the chicken was tender, the spice level couldn't have been more perfect and the sauce was rich, creamy, and so deeply flavorful. The naan was also fantastic. Another notable thing about this place is the service! Every single time I'm here the matron of the restaurant is just a complete delight of a human being. She is so welcoming and friendly. Just wonderful. They're also doing a new thing in here where you get about 6 different portions with salad for only around $17 or so dollars. While the aesthetics and design of Tandoori Hut aren't much, low overhead helps pay the kid's bills. There is no corporate money behind Tandoori Hut, but the food is cooked with love. My Tikka Masala's, Paneer and chicken, are wonderful, with a rich curry sauce. The nans are the best I have eaten. Please try Tandoori Hut and don't "judge a book by its cover." Before COVID, every time I passed by I was tempted, but the exterior didn't look particularly encouraging. Right when COVID started I looked up the rating on Yelp and decided to check it out. We ordered a Saag Paneer, a Chicken Jalfrez, a Garlic & Basil Naan, and a Mango Lassi for dinner pickup on DoorDash. The food was ready within 25 minutes. Saag Paneer - quite delicious. The spinach sauce tasted very fresh with a slight hint of ginger. The paneer cheese was softer and less chewy than I preferred. Chicken Jalfrez - the chicken chunks were large and a bit dry. They didn't absorb much flavor of the broth/sauce. The vegetables were delicious. The base was less sauce/curry but more broth. It paired well with the naan. Garlic & Basil Naan - delicious! I'd prefer stronger garlic flavor but this wasn't bad! Mango Lassi - pretty good, but not very thick. Overall it was a good experience. read more

We've been here before and enjoyed it every time, but there have been a few times (including tonight) when we call or go online to order and there's just no answer despite hours posted online saying they're open! So we decided to walk there tonight because we live right down the street and saw that they actually were closed but didn't display their hours, so we really had no way of knowing either way.
