Love this cute little spot! Very modern, clean and petite interior. They have a large coffee selection, and I would highly recommend their ube latte for those that enjoy ube. They offer substitutes for whole milk, so people that are lactose intolerant - have no fear! I know there's an entire gelato section. Their specialty sweets/deserts seem Filipino based off the naming convention, and always sounded too sweet for me. I hope to have the craving someday to try it, but who knows when that'll be haha... I'd say it's worth giving a shot. It's also safe to go in a group because they offer a variety of products. I'm sure there will be something for everyone. Not too much space on the inside, but if you manage to get a table, it's a great place to spend some time. I needed somewhere to kill a few hours (and get work done) not super far from Encino, and Yelp popped this place toward the top of the list--probably because of all the five-star reviews. First, it's adorable. There seem to be plenty of pics already of the physical space, which manages to be both neat and soothing, with a few tables and then a counter at which one could sit or stand. I opted for the ice mocha, my go-to drink--it's a good way to measure a cafe against the competition at this point. Since I had work to do and was going to have Indian food later, when given the choice of one shot or two, I went for two. I was a little surprised when it came with whipped cream (though I know some places do that), and as a "less sweet" guy, I might opt out of that going forward (except on special occasions). Having said that, the drink itself still wasn't that sweet (yay), and it had a nice coffee-dominant flavor--as it should. All in all, a very successful drink, and a bit different from the standard ice mocha. Only note for them: I'd probably ask about the whipped cream to see if the customer wants it. The baristas here are super nice--good senses of humor--and they even brought me my drink. Some practical details: There's free Wi-Fi (important if you're going to do work) that seems to work well, and while the cafe doesn't seem designed specifically for people who have lots of things to plug in, there are several strategically located outlets. I should also note that it's in a strip mall with a parking lot; I had no trouble finding a space. Finally, while there's a sign that there's no public restroom, as a customer, I was told I could use it. Totally fair. I don't live very close, so this is a bit of a drive for me (15 miles or so), but if I were anywhere near Woodland Hills, this would be a definite watering hole/work spot. (Didn't get to try their gelato yet, but I do rather love gelato...and I'm also intrigued by their signature sweet snack, Poffertjes.) read more

Omg I think I may have found my new favorite coffee and gelato place! Loving the Filipino flavors and their gelato is second to none! They even imported a gelato maker straight from Italy just to make it here, and they have perfected it. There are so many different flavors, our favorites being mango, Biskoff, Nutella, and there's so many more that we'd like to try. So creamy and fresh! They do let you try samples too! Their coffee is really good and they even have drinks like Ube latte. They have little pancakes you can order called Poggertjes - get 5 free with Yelp check-in! On Sundays they have bibinka! The customer service is incredible! They are so nice and friendly. I love how clean it is inside too. The only thing that may be hard is parking since it's in a shared small lot next to the Fallbrook fwy exit but other than that nothing to complain about at all. Very disappointed compared to previous visit. My latte was way too hot. My husband said his latte was the hottest he'd ever had and we have been drinking lattes for 35 plus years. When I asked the barista what temperature he heated the milk to, he said 150 degrees. No way. He offered to add ice. Then he offered to poor some out, and add cold milk. read more

After reading the great reviews, I decided to make a pit stop between Thousand Oaks and OC to this cafe in Woodland Hills. First of all, I absolutely hate all forms of city driving and I had a few mini heart attacks driving to and from the cafe. That being said, the mini pancakes alone were worth it. The staff is super friendly, and the interior is clean, well-decorated, and comfortable. It was pretty cool to see a fusion of different kinds of desserts (gelato, halo halo, bibingka, poffertjes...etc.) And of course, the coffee was solid. I ordered a hot lavender vanilla latte, but I would probably get it iced for the next time. Parking may or may not be difficult depending on the time of your visit. I've gone to Tang and Java a few times and their gelato is very good - but their coffee is not worth it and their food is very disappointing. I was so disappointed that I spent $24 on two food items that were not very good and they were super tiny. I got a lox bagel and the bagel was clearly store bought from a package and there was little to nothing inside the bagel. I also tried a tuna melt and the bread was also very obvious that it was store bought. the sandwich was cold and had a weird sweet flavor- definitely not what i was expecting when ordering a tuna melt. overall i really do not recommend the food or coffee but their gelato is good. read more

What a cute place! I was very happy to finally have tried this place after hearing such wonderful things. I will say parking isn't ideal, which is very typical of the valley. The inside decor however, is adorable and trendy! I ended up getting the Lavender Vanilla Latte with Almond milk $5. The lavender flavor was definitely present, but not overpowering; on a scale of 1-5 on strength, around a 3.5. The coffee, sadly only comes in one size (I wanted more! :) It was delicious and not overly sweet. The temperature of the coffee was perfect, I didn't have to wait for the coffee to cool down. I did find the cup interesting, it didn't need a coffee sleeve; I think the material was made out of maybe bamboo (quite fancy!). I also ended up having a crinkle cookie, matcha. The matcha flavor was subtle, however I could tell it was present because of the texture that matcha brings. Overall, I am very happy with my selections and I can't wait to come back and try the gelato and hopefully down the line they will have larger coffee cup options. read more

Pulled off the freeway here in desperate need of some coffee otw back to Pasadena from Malibu. It's in a meh strip mall, but the inside was surprisingly cute. This review is for the drinks. They had 3 staff at the time I was there - 1 girl and 2 guys. They were very friendly and helpful. The girl was helping a party of 3 with gelato and drinks. The male stuff came in and asked if he could help me. I ordered the iced turmeric latte and iced matcha latte. Bonus Point: They have unsweetened almond milk (they use Califia Farms brand if I'm not mistaken). For the matcha: they have 2 versions: Original Blend and Ceremonial Unsweetened Matcha. So please be aware when you order online - as their original blend might have some sweetness to it. * Actually I got to find out about the ceremonial and unsweetened almond milk when I read a review from an upset customer few months ago and the owner replied to the review saying that they have unsweetened version for both matcha and the milk. They also noted the 2 versions up on their menu board. This feedback helped me. Love the Matcha ! - I prefer my Matcha more grassy and you could taste the matcha and not the milk - in their matcha latte. I appreciate that it's pretty strong as some places do not put enough matcha. You can tell from the vibrant green color in the drink. The turmeric latte was great - also with unsweetened almond milk. Had it as iced. So refreshing in a hot day especially if you don't need extra caffeine. Bathroom was clean; but they were out of toilet paper - luckily there was a lot of paper towel. * Hopefully maybe they can consider some dairy free & gluten free gelato and pastries - as unfortunately I have dietary restrictions due to allergies. She recommended the strawberry matcha latte, which was so good! I'd personally ask for an extra scoop of matcha next time because I like it a little stronger, but it was still so good. She let me know about the owner making the gemstone bracelets herself when I asked about them. Just overall a great experience in there. I didn't get a pic of the gelato, but it was so yummy! Growing up in the valley, I am surprised I have never found this sweet gem. I think it has the most heart out of any of the other stores in the shopping area. It is a cute little, set up with lots of crystals and other eclectic items surrounding the café. I have not personally tried the food, but it looks very tasty. It's obvious that the owner is very passionate about serving people delicious items. I tried the brewed Matcha blend that was sweetened, also with rose added, and it was different but enjoyable. Think the unique taste came from a combination of coconut milk and rose. This is the second best Matcha I've had in the valley. I think it's easy to tell when people put into serving and it is prepared as a monotonous task. I would love to come back at a later date and give them more complete review based on items, but I think the passion and effort put into this business.
