This review is overdue. First, I've been here twice and the service is just amazing. The ladies that work here are so nice and so is the guy in the back. Excellent customer service. Second, on the back of the Ralph's receipt (the supermarket in the same shopping center), they advertise, buy 1, get 1 free, which is an excellent deal. And, you can use the coupons over and over which is really cool. Third, they allow you to sample all of the flavorful ice creams and are very patient with you while you make your decisions. We normally get two cones with two scoops each and buy one, get one free! It's an amazing deal! The boys and I stopped by Milk & Sugar Time on the way back from them getting a haircut. My oldest loves boba, and my youngest loves slushies, so we decided to check it out. The spot is located in a shopping plaza that has plenty of parking, but it can get a little crowded. As we arrived, the place was empty but very clean and relaxing. They were playing some R&B at the time, and we were quickly greeted by a nice Persian lady who helped us place our orders. They have everything from acai to bobs, ice cream, and gelato. I decided to go with a lychee tea; my oldest got a milk tea boba, and my youngest wanted sushi, but they didn't have it, so she said the closest thing was a blended milk tea smoothie with cherry popping bona. It didn't take long for her to complete our order, so we grabbed a seat and decided to catch the video in the store and taste our drinks. I thought my lychee tea was perfect! Probably one of the best I've had, so I highly recommend their fruit teas. It wasn't too sweet, it was just right. I tried my oldest milk tea boba, and it wasn't sweet enough. My youngest mango blended milk tea was good, and once I tasted it, I knew it wasn't his thing. My son likes icees, not milky ones, and this was milky. He drank like two sips and was done with it. Overall, I will be back on my own because my boys weren't fans of their drinks. I had a coupon from the back of a Ralph's receipt, BOGO - buy one item, get an identical second one free - so I got two milk teas and gave one to a friend later. A large was $7.95, so it was a good value for the money certainly. I might try it again sometime and get another flavor because this milk tea had a funny taste - kind of like maple, for lack of a better description. The prices of similar Thai tea-type drinks in this neighborhood can range from $6-8, so this was on the high side of that. The store itself is cute but the sun really blasts in there at certain times of the day and it was very warm in the store, requiring drinking outside on the provided tables, definitely. The vibe inside the shop is so welcoming and fun. I loved it right away. I originally came in craving boba, but once I saw the ice cream, I couldn't resist. They let me sample a flavor, and I ended up choosing "Kitty Kitty Bang!" it was delicious. As I was checking out, the fresh-baked cookies caught my eye, and of course, I couldn't leave without one. I grabbed a chocolate chip cookie to go, and it was the perfect addition. There are so many tasty options to try here. Oh, and I almost forgot, they have macarons too! I am a gelato junkie and I have found my new favorite place! Fresh, well balanced and with that perfect degree of subtle sweetness. I had to try the Olive Oil gelato because I had never heard of it and it was amazing.
