Toasted Tiramisu Latte with coconut milk and 1/2 sweetness

First time in. Glad for Yelp as I wouldn't have seen this place just by driving by since it's a busy street and it's a tiny strip mall. Service was great. I was greeted right away and offered help if needed. Ordered an iced toasted tiramisu with coconutmilk and half sweetness. It was still sweet at half and espresso was smooth. A treat with a kick in it. Would return to try more of the menu.

This coffee shop feels very trendy. There are books you can take to read while you sit and enjoy your coffee. They have some ube pastries/desserts, breakfast type menu items as well. Lattes are delicious :) and service is friendly. Parking is limited.

I've been loving this spot to do work at because it's quiet even though it gets busy. Their coffee can be a hit or miss. But I've enjoyed their maple oat and horchata latte. I haven't tried their pastries or other desserts but they look good. I've had their gelato which is yummy especially the biscoff one. I love the tuna sandwich. It's a good size and well priced and yes it's super good! The Lox bagel is good too but pretty pricey per usual for a lox bagel. It comes with capers which gives it a great taste.

Coffee shop with lots of different syrup flavors and unique specialty items. They also sell food and gelato! Some tables inside for seating. I got a large iced ceremonial matcha with strawberry. They have lots of different matcha options - ceremonial, sweetened, and flavors like blueberry and lavender. Fyi, she mentioned if you get the sweetened matcha with strawberry that would make the drink a little too sweet. My bf got a large iced lavender vanilla latte with oat milk. They charge a $1 more for non-dairy milk and for flavors/syrups. It was pretty pricey at over $20 for both drinks. For non-dairy milks, they have almond milk, soy, oat, macadamia, and unsweetened almond - lots of options! I don't love that they don't post any prices on their menu so it's unclear how much things cost until you pay. The matcha was tasty and not too sweet at all. The lavender vanilla latte was also good. Good coffee and friendly service, just a little pricey though.

Tang & Java a Filipino-owned business in Woodland Hills that specializes in coffee drinks and gelato. I casually found this place via the Yelp search and decided to grab a quick drink here. [Parking]: Difficult parking lot to get in and out, but I had no issue finding an available spot at 5:30 PM on Sunday. [Setting]: The shop has a digital photo stand. The shop also sell bracelets, small crystals, keychains, etc. The indoor area is not huge with only 3 small tables and 1 long table. No public restroom for customers. [Menu]: The top 2 Yelp highlighted drinks are Ube Latte and Sea Salt Caramel Toffee Latte. The shop also has chagaccino (mushroom coffee). For gelato, they offer dairy free, vegan, sugar free, and keto flavors (check for availability). The price for each drink is not listed on the wall menu. Per Uber Eats, Poffertjes (original or Nutella) and Creme Brûlée Latte are the top popular orders. *** Ube Latte (iced & small size - $5.99): The staff liked hot ube latte, but most customers prefer iced. Solid latte, but the drink got a tad too sweet at the end because I didn't mix the drink well. *** Personally this is one of those grab-and-go coffee spots & I wouldn't recommend customers staying here to chat or work because (1) no public restroom for customers and (2) the parking lot is not fun to navigate in and out.

I was meeting my friend and so glad I came across this spot!! We got a hot oat milk latte, lox, avocado toast, and their pistachio protein goodie in the fridge section. It wasn't too sweet, which is great and DELICIOUS. Generous portions, everything tasted great. There's about 4 tables inside and a couple of seats outside. Love the atmosphere!

I've been wanting to try Tang & Java for a long time, and I finally had the chance to stop by and I'm so glad! What an unexpected, BEAUTIFUL hidden treasure in the strip mall at the southeast corner of Ventura Blvd & Fallbrook. There is plenty of seating and the atmosphere is so welcoming, comfortable and calm. Diana greeted me with the warmest, kindest smile. She offered gelato samples... SO GOOD! I will definitely come back to get their house made gelato (no preservatives or food dyes). I ordered the medium lavender vanilla iced latte with oat milk. It came to $10 with tip, and so worth it! The coffee is smooth, sweetened just right.

Pretty pricy for the size of two hot medium lates with alternative milk. Together without tip included it was like $17 dollars.

Looking for a new coffee shop on my way to the beach and this place jumped out. Service was warm and welcoming. Shop is cute and the gelato is tempting. Love the plants around the shop. I had a Barista special which was a brown sugar maple flavored latte, it was delicious. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed this place, it has outlets and a good place to study. The drink we got were really good too. We got the ube latte and seasonal hazelnut latte. They do a double shot for free too. Only cons are that the wifi didn't work for us and the parking lot is quite small.

Tang & Java is such a treat. Not only was finding parking not too difficult on a Saturday afternoon despite being in a small plaza, but the beans of their iced latte was tasty. I'm not a fan of chocolate myself, but these beans definitely gave a hint of chocolate without a single hint of bitter or acidic. The coffee in short was bold, the perfect morning or afternoon pick-me-up. There are many tables to work / chat at, the cafe is well decorated, and the music was an adequate volume that it was possible to concentrate while also not being overwhelmed by nearby conversations. And Wi-Fi? Yes, that was available, too!

I ordered a medium ceremonial matcha with oat milk, it was very good, not bitter at all, I could definitely taste the quality. However, it was $8 and change and it's hard to tell the difference between the small and medium size. Overall, I don't know if I can justify the cost. Props for the latte art...I did enjoy the puppy on my latte. Service was good, there are tables inside where you can sit and enjoy your drink, ice cream and/or food.

It is a definition of zen relaxation being in the small coffee shop! I love coffee, again yelpers helping others like myself find wonderful and delicious small coffee shop businesses to support! As soon as you walk in you feel entranced in this zen vibe, with all the crystal, rocks and relaxed mood who wouldn't want a nice cold coffee. Or a cup of tea whatever floats your boat. Went to Tang & Java this weekend with my kiddos after my daughter got a certificate from her school! The staff was beyond nice and welcoming. So grateful that they also had sorbet for my son who is allergic to dairy! Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back! So grateful for places like this with such kind and caring staff! read more

This is definitely one of the best coffee shops that I've been too. I got the Dulce de Leche coffee. My boyfriend got the crème brûlée coffee. they were both so tasty, not to sweet and not to bitter. They have a wide variety of coffees and gelato. The staff was also so sweet and helpful. I'll definitely be back!!! read more

Tried this place for the first time today. I was looking for a good coffee to have during my commute this morning and this place popped up at the top of the yelp list. I will never go to Starbucks again. I think I forgot about what a delicious coffee tastes like. I 100% want everyone to try this place so it thrives. We need more local places like this. Going to bring my 2 year old for gelato next. One thing I wish they had today would be a healthy morning loaf to go w/ coffee or a fresh croissant, but it won't deter me from coming back! A must try. I had the infamous iced lavender latte and my son had a scoop of gelato. Both were among the best we've EVER had. Service was exceptional and the whole place was sparking clean with a nice modern look. It's def on the pricey side so more of a treat than an everyday spot IMO, but highly recommend. read more

The employees working at this establishment are EXTREMELY kind & generous!! It was my friend, sister, and my first time here and we couldn't have been more pleased! As soon as you step in you can smell the gelato and coffee and it's delicious. The employees offered free samples of all the gelatos, and we took up that offer on some of the flavors. I got the honey lavender gelato and the biscoff gelato and they were both soooo good! I also got the sea salt and caramel toffee latte with double shot and it was very well made and delicious as well. The place is really cute & nice inside so we decided to stay and hangout, and they brought us over a free sample of little mini dutch pancakes :') I will be coming here again for SURE, they're wonderful!! Today was the first time I tried this and the entire staff there were so nice! I tried the lavender vanilla latte and had the opportunity to try all their gelato. Came here today for the first time with my child and quickly realized that a year from now I'm probably going to be able to look back and pinpoint today as the start of my weight gaining journey. This place is so good and we couldn't stop at trying just the gelato. The coffee was fantastic and the little pancake things whose name I can't pronounce were craveably delicious (not sure that's a word). The women working there today were so helpful and friendly. This is a good little cafe. They've got great coffee, tasty little pancakes, and fantastic baked goods. I bought some of their cookies (regular and the ones with cream inside them) and they were a hit with my family! The cookies were matcha and ube, super soft, with a lot of powder sugar on top. I also got a baked everything bagel that was delicious after I toasted it at home with some butter. I'd recommend coming here with some friends or family to chill and relax. The music that plays is very relaxing (some lofi and chill hop), and the seats aren't too bad! I would just warn that it's a little pricy, but honestly worth it for the quality of the sweets and drinks. I can't wait to come back to try the gelato!! read more

Don't be taken aback by the location, the place inside is very clean and modern inside! Came in to pass the time while my boyfriend got a message across the street and honestly better than I expected. Their gelato selection is on the smaller side, I think about 8 options?, but their coffee and tea options are not your basic choices but they still have the classics if that's what you're looking for. I went with a simple americano to see what the quality of their coffee was, and I'm honestly impressed. It was very smooth and creamy (I only added vanilla for sweetness). It seems like they're known for their Crème Brûlée Latte, which I'm planning to get next time. They also have a variety of cookies and pastries. Seating is a little limited as they are on the smaller side, 3 round tables that can seat 4 people and a small long bar bench against the wall that can seat around 6 people. read more

You'd never know what a gem this place is until you walk inside. The environment is clean and well designed, but everything you get to consume is the real privilege. The gelato is to die for and made in the back. Constantly rotating flavors that inspire! Our service with Lola and Jacob was wonderful, and Diana is a sweetheart. My kids beg to go. I only wish they opened 30-60 min earlier so I could grab a honey lavender latte before school drop off. I love having a high quality local coffee shop in this neighborhood. read more

My favorite cafe. Customer service is fantastic, drinks are addicting, the vibes are immaculate and the place is clean. I come sometimes to study and every visit has been a pleasure. Recently I got their seasonal drink, the mint mojito cold brew and it was so good. I wish I took a picture but before I realized I hadn't I already finished it. Kim is my fave barista, so kind and accommodating...thank you for all the gelato samples and the great recs. read more

Finally good coffee in the area!! I was pretty bummed that it was all Starbucks when I moved here. Blue Bottle has good beans but all their flavors are weak. So I'm SO happy to finally find Tang & Java. Tempting to not share this gem and keep it all to myself but feeling generous today read more

I visited this place over the weekend and I loved it! The place had really great vibes, the employees were super friendly/ helpful, and everything on the menu looks amazing! What an incredible establishment. Was in the area looking for good coffee / matcha and came across Tang and Java. One of the baristas working Daniel, was super helpful in helping me decide what to get and prepared what seemed the best blueberry lavender matcha I have ever had right in front of me. Flavorful, refreshing and delicious matcha and a beautifully decorated cafe. Will 100% come again and recommend this place to others! read more

It all starts with our unique, amazing recipes and from there we use only the highest quality, freshest ingredients! We make all our own gelatos in house with absolutely no artificial flavors. Our coffee beans are roasted locally just for us, giving us the best taste of coffee, from the first sip to the last! Our handmade gelato flavors include rice (our nod to the first ice cream ever created), our Chocolate flavor is made with 92% cacao chocolate, biscoff biscuit that’s full of flavor, Madagascar bourbon vanilla, yogurt with passion fruit, ceremonial matcha, a Filipino yam called ube … The list goes on and on and is always being added to. We also have gelato for KETO lovers, Vegan and Sugar free just ask one of our associates for availability. On the coffee side, we have specialty brews including creme brûlée latte, lavender vanilla latte, turmeric latte, and our signature one of a kind drink, Ube latte and the most raved drink called chaggaccino. It’s made from chaga mushroom cinnamon, vanilla, cacao and monk fruit sweetener. This drink is packed with anti-oxidants, is plant based, anti-aging, elevates endurance and boosts immunity. And oh yeah, all this goodness contains less than 40 calories! Our space was clean and inviting and we also offer free wifi for customers.

Established in 2021. I started planning this business in the middle of pandemic. I was frustrated because my boys love ice cream but because most ice creams have a ton of sugar, fillers and often other unnatural ingredients, I didn’t feel good about it serving to them. I LOVE to cook and am a culinary trained chef, I researched and took training specifically for gelato. l knew if I put my heart and soul into it, I could come to up with natural gelatos that had less sugar AND tasted great. Finally, we put our hearts into each and every serving or cup of latte. We think you can taste the Tang & Java difference. Our goal is to put a smile on your face because you deserve the happiness that life’s simple pleasures can bring, especially now!

I came here with my mom from the Philippines 20 years ago... I worked, studied and raised my family. As my Mom always says, "work hard and earn your way" and that's always been our family mantra. So truly, Tang & Java means all this to us, and more. It's more than a home for great flavors and great service, It's a home for everyone. James and I have four kids and our twins have special needs kids so we feel very strongly about creating a space where all are welcome and aren't judged. Yes, they sell "poffertjes", which are some kind of Dutch donuts, cookies, and a few other baked goods. I haven't tried any of them yet, but the gelato and the espresso are among the best I've had in Los Angeles.

We were greeted by the worker and grabbed our cups! I don't fill mine all the way and I like to get a little bit of multiple flavors along with my favorite toppings. I was very surprised at how good all the flavors were this time around! I almost got one of each. I mixed mine with coffee, chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. My toppings were the usual fruity pebbles, Kit Kat, mochi, and fresh strawberries. Sometimes I add a drizzle of condensed milk but they didn't have any at this location! My partner likes peanuts but I don't necessarily care for them, so he selected the crushed peanuts as our dry topping and requested that it only be put on top of the vanilla ice cream (his ice cream selection). Our server happily obliged. What I found to be really impressive was while we were waiting for our banana split to be created, we were approached at least three times asking if we had been helped yet. They are really on top of it here. In terms of the ice cream - it looks like a kid's dream, and tastes just as good as it looks. The banana split comes with two bananas, which tasted ripe, and it was definitely sharable between two people. Parking: We did end up having to pay $2 for parking. When we went up to the parking garage and scanned our ticket it said we were good, and once we drove to get out it told us we needed to pay $2. Turns out we were there for an hour and a minute - I guess that minute occurred between the two scans. I know it's hard to get an economical breakfast these days, so I do get it. The people working there were incredibly polite and it was a great experience. The cafe serves coffees and smoothies as well as pastries. They have an espresso machine but don't do regular drip coffee, just FYI.

We returned to Tang & Java and were excited to try a few new menu items: the Hawaiian Kona latte, the Vietnamese coffee, and of course, a scoop of gelato--this time, hazelnut. The Vietnamese coffee was perfectly strong and not overly sweet, which is a rare find as many other cafes tend to go too heavy on the sugar. The Hawaiian Kona latte was a standout with its distinct coconut flavor that added a tropical twist to the drink. As for the hazelnut gelato, it was a delightful surprise--it tasted remarkably similar to a Ferrero Rocher. While unexpected, it was still absolutely delicious and worth a try for any chocolate-hazelnut fan. The only reason we're giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because, while the service was efficient, it lacked that special touch to make the experience memorable. Additionally, we were disappointed that they were out of lox when we tried to order a lox bagel. We came here to celebrate my daughter's birthday and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff was really kind and patient with us. A great place to celebrate the end of our season. Diana (the owner) was kind enough to invite the whole team for gelato after our championship game. The place is beautiful.
