This place is by far the best Korean restaurant I've ever been to as well as the interior itself, It is probably the nicest one in Flushing. Great Korean food in an informal open dining room w/high ceilings, clean decor and spacious seating, what more can I ask for? The kimchi was delicious and I'm not really a Kimchi fan. We ordered the fried dumplings as our appetizer and for our entrees, I ordered their Tang specials set-the jeyuk bokkeum (spicy pork) and the spicy blue crab soondubu and my husband ordered the prime galbi. The fried dumplings is like no other-perfectly fried and seasoned with just the right amount of filling. The jeyuk bokkeum was good even though I'm used to the shredded pork and not the sliced. My favorite was the spicy blue crab soondubu-unbelievably delicious! It was so flavorful and not too spicy. The prime galbi was cooked medium well with still a pink center and the waitress would cut it into strips for you. The decor of the restaurant is very open and spacious. It is very packed for dinner time so expect a wait time. I got the 2 for $20 deal and got the spicy chicken with seafood hot stew. That itself was enough to fill me and my friend, but we got the japchae as well and we left the place stuffed. When the waiter asked if we wanted white or brown rice, we said brown. When we were served, it's actually the black/purple rice! I actually really love that kinda rice because of the smell but just a warning to those people expecting actual brown rice. Service is great. 2nd time around. I was in the neighborhood so decided to try something different from here. We had the Deonjang Jjigae, gob chang Jjigae and soy garlic chicken takeout. The Jjigaes were spicy but not "gotta grab the fire extinguisher because my mouth is on fire" spicy. I found it bland if you get past the spicy. It came out quickly. The best was the chicken. I thought it would be a little soggy because it was covered with parchment. It was still crispy. It was tender, moist and tasted great. Slight hint of garlic. Tang never disappoints. They are like the Cheesecake Factory of Korean food. Their menu is so vast, it can be overwhelming. They offer so many different Korean foods, varieties, and combos, it can be intimidating. I tend to stick to the Korean staples and found that you can never go wrong at Tang. My all-time favorite go-to is the seafood tofu soup combo with galbi. My new favorite is the Branzini whole fish which we made into a combo with a tofu soup also. Can I just say WOWWW. The fish is so delicious, and for the whole fish that is perfectly grilled and seasoned, it is such a great deal. It's always comforting to have a meal here. I just wish they would give a larger variety of banchan. They just give salad with ginger sauce and kimchi, which is tasty but I always love my banchan staples. Wow, wow, wow! Just had dinner here for the first time and I must say: Tang is by far one of the best Korean restaurants I've ever dined in. Not only was service top-notch, genuinely friendly and attentive and the decor modernized with nice brick walls, high ceilings and hard-wood floors ... the food was delicious! We were disappointed that we weren't served ban chan, but instead were served a salad with ginger dressing (I assume from the Japanese side of the menu) as well as kimchee (obviously from the Korean side), but the dishes that subsequently followed totally compensated for it! We ordered two combo meals with the chilean sea bass paired with a seafood soondubu and a bulgogi paired with the blue crab soondubu and all I can say is impeccable!! What constituted the soondubu was good broth, fresh seafood and most importantly, tofu that tasted homemade, incredibly silky and slips right down your throat. Moreover, the sea bass possessed great char and the bulgogi was extremely flavorful. Portions were rather generous as well and you definitely get more bang for your buck ordering the combos. Lastly, after we paid for our check, they gave us two complimentary bottles of Korean ginseng in honor of Mother's Day. What more can you ask for? This place is... the kind of Korean restaurant that makes me proud as a fellow Korean American. Since the first time I set foot back in 2012, I came back in 4 years to find it still top-notch in terms of the quality of their food, both the ingredients and the taste, their outstanding customer service (at a level of detail clearly above "Korean restaurants"), and the chic, airy, and clean decor. I ordered Boyang dogani tang (health cow knee soup) and it just hit the spot perfectly - good chunk of ginseng, flavorful dried dates, and a TON of dogani that I kept dipping into their soy vinegar sauce yet didn't seem to disappear! My favorite Korean restaurant! I've been here a few times but most recently for my birthday. The food is always so good! My personal favorite is the hot stone bibimbap and galbi (short ribs) combo which only comes out to $20. They always start you off with salads and endless kimchi. The food comes out very quickly once you place your order. Aside from the combo mentioned above, the Pink Lady Roll always seems to be my boyfriend's go to sushi pick and new to our favorites is the kanpoong shrimp (spicy, sweet crunchy). For my birthday they brought out a beautiful banana split sundae and sang to me in English ( although Korean would have been way cooler!) Definitely not the traditional korean food taste you'll get from other places in Queens, but Tang will attract a lot if non-Korean customers. Tang has an extremely wide selection if food, including different soups, sushi, other Korean and Chinese dishes. A good friend of mine was flying into JFK for an 8 hour layover at 11:30 at night- and I wanted to take her someplace to eat that didn't suck and wouldn't take her too far. Korean food it is! I'd never had it before, but Korean restaurants tend to stay open later, Flushing has a ton, and this one is 24 hours. I wasn't in the mood to try something new, and my distaste for kimchi has kept me from trying the cuisine in the first place, but I decided to trust in Yelp and I was glad I did. On a Monday around midnight the place was practically empty. The sushi bar had closed, but even so the menu was still massive. Our server was friendly and prompt, water was refilled frequently. The ambiance could use work. They have 3 massive TV's covering large portions of the walls playing music videos. The first half of the dinner was spent watching some loud, grating rap. Then it switched to sad down tempo black and white stuff and Adele. Really weird switch, and both odd choices on their own. Crispy fried shrimp with spicy pepper garlic sauce: this was so freakin good. The shrimp has a deep fried coating, then on top of that is a sweet sauce (I didn't find it spicy). Inside the batter, the shrimp were so tender they practically melted in your mouth, and they were huge. Definitely worth the $20 price tag. Crispy fried chicken wings with garlic sauce: We felt we'd be missing out if we didn't try a Korean joints fried chicken and we were right- crispy, juicy, and bursting with flavor, this another must have. $15. Small order of Broiled Chilean Sea Bass in soy glaze: another great option, I really loved the fatty pieces of the fish. It was my first time trying this and I was so thrilled to find that melt in your mouth texture with seafood. Rich, decadent. Pork dumplings: Good, but oddly enough it ended up being my least favorite thing on the table. Unless you count the kimchi, which was admittedly the most mild I've ever had, but still not my jam ;) We also got a bone in beef fish whose name I can't remember. The flavor was really great, though I thought the meat was a little tough. Overall an excellent introduction into Korean food. Also, really good to know they're open 24 hours. read more

My go-to restaurant when I want Korean soups. They're open 24 x 7 so it's perfect for late night munchies. The restaurant is massive so I've never had trouble getting a table. Valet parking is in the rear. The menu is pretty extensive with the usual Korean fare like bibimbap and set meals usually with a grilled fish and a side. But usually I order the soups.. oxtail soup, ginseng chicken soup, beef tendon soup etc. The soups come with rice, you can choose a healthier multigrain rice I instead of white. On my most recent visit I had their chicken ramen which was surprisingly good and reasonably priced at $12 for a large bowl. I liked the light broth the most, the grilled chicken was a bit dry and ramen noodles very average when compared to the gourmet ramen you'll find in the city like Tonshin or Ippudo. read more

Every time I happen to find myself back at Tang, I always ask who the chefs are. How can they have an umpteen amount of options and have a lot of them taste that amazing? Let's start off with the basics. The interior is that of a normal Flushing restaurant. They utilize their space really well so there are tables for large parties, smaller parties, and couples. They also have a sushi bar. They have more private rooms for reserved parties and sometimes, they use those rooms during the "rushes". They have large TVs which usually have the Korean news, American sports, or Korean children shows playing. It really helps the parents eat, while the children get distracted. But I believe it is their versatility with food that keeps people attracted to them. They have all kinds of food from Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, and American. They have stews, traditional, fusion, modern, and food that anyone in any demographic can enjoy. I always order something different anytime I go (which is very frequently). So, I've tried most of the stuff on their menu, and I'm never disappointed. Their combo meals are on point, and are worth the price. Service is amazing, as the servers are always around. They're on top of whatever you need and answer any questions you may have about the food. I remember them coming over to give a new set of chopsticks when someone from our party dropped them. I ordered straight from their website two Tang Plus Sets- Grilled Galbi with Bibimbap and a Grilled Mackerel with Mushroom tofu. And seafood pancake. What we got was a small order of galbi, grilled mackerel, TWO tofu (no bibimbap) and our seafood pancake. How could they mess up an online order from their own website? I really love the decor and the setup, the layout is great, it's spacious, modern and it is just super inviting. Once I entered the restaurant I was wowed. The restaurant is a 24 hr restaurant and there is a nice parking lot located behind the restaurant, the restaurant does get busy so parking on the street might be better. The food: Seafood and Green Onion Pancake- This is a really popular dish but the version here was just ok, I thought the pancake was way too soft, I am used to some type of crunch or texture to the pancake but this was soft throughout. I also thought $20 was too expensive for what it was. Tang Plus Set $20 -Pork Tenderloin- This was really good. I really liked the flavor, it was not the most korean flavored dish but the pork was really tender and the grilled onions were nice. They gave bean paste and lettuce pieces to make wraps. So my friends and I came here last night and we and really enjoyed our meal :) We ordered the galbi, pork tenderloin, brisket stew, napa with pork belly, and a specialty roll, and everything was delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the eel specialty roll, but that's probably because I prefer eating Korean at a Korean restaurant -and my friend was the one craving sushi! The galbi was marinated really well, with a decent portion for the three of us. The pork tenderloin was unfortunately mostly bone :( to my dismay. But the pork belly though.....tons of pork left over for leftovers today! If only I had bao buns to stuff them with!!! Some have complained that the banchan was insufficient in prior reviews, but I disagree. One of my unconventional dinner/double dinner spots in Queens. This place is my last resort when all else fails because it's 24/7 365/year The place is huge with giant screens playing YouTube music videos all night long. Anyways, their food menu is very extensive. I mean they'll literally give you 4-5 different kinds of menu per person while you sit down. It's a little overwhelming when selecting a food but then it's good when you have very picky dining partner. I usually go for the combo or a large soup. The food is good, it's the best you can get during those late/dawn hours. The service is not the best but then at those hours you don't really care about anything else besides munching. I think I've always given Tang a bad rap for no good reason. I don't really understand why because time and time again, Tang has proven itself as a very capable restaurant. Tang is one of the larger Korean restaurants in the area, with a free valet parking lot (don't forget to tip) and plenty of seating for private parties and regular diners. Which makes it even more surprising to realize that the Restaurant is actually open 24hrs. I have come into Tang at all hours of the night to see at least a few diners always in the restaurant. What's even more surprising is that the quality of the food never really seems to change for the worse between the different hours of the night. Out of all the food that I have ever eaten at Tang, the combo meals have got to be the best bang for your buck. It's hard to miss as it's usually the first few pages of their extensive menu. The combo meals here are not small and could even be shared between two people if you were so inclined. Whenever I'm craving a combo, I usually stick with getting the Spicy cold noodles or Beef Soondoobu (tofu soup) with the pork jowl or galbi. I have also sampled their bibimbap as well. One of the things that Tang does uniquely is their purple rice. It definitely offers a deeper textural contrast as compared to white rice (Someone also said it's healthier or something but idgaf it tastes better). Other than the combos, I have had the gamjatang (pork neck stew). I can't say the gamjatang is the best in the neighborhood but it definitely hits the spot when you're craving it. The potatoes meld beautifully into the soup (Pro Tip: Always take the soup home). There isn't really any major reasons for me not to like Tang. Sometimes the service is a bit off but its to be expected when the restaurant is open 24hrs. Because, Tang Korean Restaurant's food is consistently good and even great, I've started coming to Tang regularly for late night Korean food. Clean, professional, and yummy! I usually come during their late night hours because its 24/7. The service is not lacking for a late night spot and the food is hot, delicious, and anytime I had a bad experience with the dish I ordered, management always either adjusted the price or removed it from my check. I love when staff/management actually acknowledges a problem and tries to remedy it instead of a half-ass sorry. They have deals for two that is not lacking in portion sizes.
