For a place name Tang, there sure have a ton of variety that is anything but, especially at a time when new gukbap places have been opening in the general area. The Korean Fried Chicken is pretty great here. The boneless sweet & spicy chicken batter shattered like glass, and the chicken was juicy and tender (white meat). The Bulgogi Curry had depth and was tasty. Yellow means more tumeric, so more Korean than Japanese style. Actual bulgogi, not just raw meat thrown in the curry.
My friend and I had dinner here. They give you salad and kimchee as starters. We each ordered a set menu of a spicy tofu soup of our choice and a pork dish. It was delicious! I would say it tasted just like BCD Tofu house. My friend and I were very impressed with the flavors. We also received white rice from a hot stone pot where they add barley tea, if you want a bit more rice water.
Coming on a weekend, I thought it would be busier but it thankfully wasn't considering that I had my children with me. I love how they have their own little parking lot. It saves us a lot of time. The food was decent but nothing really stood out to me except for the kimchi pancake. My donkatsu felt very dry despite dipping in their sauce. I prefer the one from Kisa in Manhattan. The portion was pretty big. The menu was a bit extensive so it took my group and I more time than expected to decide on what to order. The staff was nice but they were not as attentive as expected. It was sometimes difficult getting their attention despite not being a full house. We did not get any water for our table until much later. I don't think I would go out of my way for another visit.
It helps that they have a parking lot. Food options were a bit overwhelming. We decided to have steamed pork dumplings to start. For the meal we ordered short ribs, fried rice, bibimbap, and spicy squid. Before the food came, we were given kimchi and a salad with dressing on the side. Very enjoyable meal for a Tuesday lunch. We were able to sit and talk for two hours. Very friendly service.
This place never disappoints! Food is so good. On a snowy day def needed this! Ordered my usually go to soup and my sis ordered bimbimbap. All delish!
I would have never gotten the chance to try this place if it wasn't for my friends who drive! Brooklyn to Queens takes a hot minute! But I must say, it was definitely worth driving an hour+ to Tang! I love love love the spicy cold noodles! The pork steak paired well with it. I tried my friend's dishes and they were also very yummy. The service was super fast. The soy garlic boneless chicken came out in less than 10 minutes. Surprised it was super crispy and juicy. The ambiance was nice and I enjoyed good food with good company. I had a nice lunch the day after with all the leftovers! They have huge portions and affordable! Will definitely recommend!
I come here so often! I love their beef galbi and white rice! They also have a good seafood pancake. This place is more on the pricey side but the quality is really good. There is plenty of seating and I came on a wednesday night. I also got the soy marinated chicken wings which were really good as well. The seevice was really fast and she was super nice.
Ambiance: This is a large Korean restaurant that has a menagerie of dishes They have tofu stew, Korean meats, curry, noodles, and more. It's a great place to bring large groups. It's loud and busy on weekend nights. Food: I got the prime pork galbi and beef tofu stew combo--it was SO GOOD. I rate this 5/5. Get the tofu stew and meat combo it's so worth it. The galbi was flavorful and just the right amount of fat. The beef tofu stew was so heartwarming. But note that the tofu isn't silky it's more of a rough porous texture. My friends and I got the kimchi tofu stew (2/5), japchae (3/5), and pork tonkatsu omelette rice (2/5). Kimchi tofu stew was too sour for my liking. Japchae and Pork tonkatsu tasted as expected--average. Service: The staff were so welcoming and attentive to giving us fresh ice water.
I basically consider this place like a Korean style diner. They have anything and everything on their menus. It's hard to go wrong coming here as they offer a huge selection of items that can cater to all different taste buds. That's extremely evident in their three different menus that they offer to you each time. It can honestly be very overwhelming but once you have a favorite, just stick to it. They have a menu for traditional Korean food, Chinese Korean food, and others like Thai and Japanese food. I've been here a million times and each time there's always something new to try. Although not everything on their menu is a hit, I've had a lot of great dishes, especially the traditional Korean ones. All of their stewed meats, like their braze pork rib, are incredible as they are cooked until the meat falls off the bone. Portion is good and price is decent, although not the cheapest. They have some combos where you can get a soup with a main course for $26. They also serve a nice barley tea with your meal and some deliciously fresh kimchi. The space is huge so you can come here with large groups.
This place can really hit the spot if you looking for a good food choice selection. Their menu is huge. Service is always pretty fast and a fairly busy Resturant. Honestly most food items are fair. Nothing very very good but all good. I enjoy all the choices they have to offer. For sure a good spot to go to if you really can't decide on some foods as they offer a lot from soups to fried rice and noodles. Their fried chicken is also pretty good.
Came here after a spa day with some friends in the early evening and we were even able to find parking around the area! We were wasmly greeted upon entering and walked to our table. Looking over the menu, there was so much to choose from especially if your spice tolerance isn't as great as your friends or if you're craving different things! You could choose Chinese, Korean or even Japanese dishes! We ordered a variety of dishes and rice to go with it! To start, we got some boneless fried chicken and it came with a small side of shredded cabbage. Then some Japchae too! No clumps and mildly seasoned to perfection! Best part is that it goes so well with all the meat dishes we ordered! The grilled meats all had a nice smokiness to it and I appreciate not having to bbq at the table and getting the scent on my clothes! Well seasoned and there was even some salt and sesame oil on the table side! The tteokbokki/dukbokki was spicy, creamy and savory! There was even fried dumplings too! Incredible combo! Dipping the dumpling into the sauce and even the boneless chicken! The rice cake had a nice chew and bounce! Lastly the Gob Chang bokkeum (spicy stir fried beef tripe) was amazing!!! If you're not a fan of internal organs- this dish is definitely not for the faint hearts! It is truly an acquired taste and once you're hooked, you'll very much enjoy it! The tripe is cut up and stir fried. Each piece had filling inside and it was quite chewy! Ended up finishing my bowl of rice with every last drop of the spicy stir fried dish(including the sauce)!!! Would definitely come back again!
A whole variety of menu to choose from and the food overall is all good whatever you order. We usually order the Korean pancakes (variety one that comes with mushroom, fish fillet, green pepper, meatball, etc.) and Korean scallion pancake with the rice wine. Others are marinated pork, marinated pig trotter, rose ttukbokki (rice cake in rose sauce, not the regular red sauce). We have also had fried chicken and they are also great !!!! Due to their variety of menu, everyone can enjoy whatever they are in the mood for.
I love coming to Tang! Such reliable and delicious korean food. Tang is a large and spacious restaurant located on northern blvd with a parking lot! I always look forward to the rose tteokbokki from here - its so good, not too spicy and perfectly creamy! We also ordered the wings which were perfectly crispy and delicious. There's so much on the menu especially with all the combos but you really can't go wrong here. The service is prompt and i always look forward to the food - even after driving all the way from Brooklyn!
There's something about Tang that reminds me of an American Diner or Cheesecake Factor but with obviously Korean food. Maybe's its the way they manage to have a wide variety of Korean foods, from tofu soups to blood sausage stir fry, or that their menu is so large you could spend hours deciding. The restaurant is very large and hard to miss. They also have a parking lot which makes it very convenient for customers as theres hardly anywhere near by to park. The inside of the restaurant is very clean and not too loud. The staff was extremely nice and understanding when my friend and I couldn't decide what to get. We wanted everything! They have a LOT of combos, where you can pair a rice or stew dish with a bbq dish, which is awesome and worth the price. I decided, after quite some tome, to get the dolsot bibimbap with their pork jowl combo. The bibimbap comes out in a hot stone pot topped with a ton of vegetables and their sauce on the side. The pork jowl came out on a sizzling plate and the size of the jowl was massive. The bibimbap (3/5) was not seasoned the best, everything was bland or tasted mostly of sesame oil. I practically had to drown it in sauce, which I don't usually love to do. The vegetables were super fresh tho and maintained their crisp. The pork jowl (3/5) was too big for me and hard to eat. There was also very little seasoning for this as the dipping sauce I got was sesame oil with a hint of salt. I would've liked more seasoning overall, but the meal got the job done. The tofu soup (3/5) and LA galbi (5/5) was far better than what I got. The soup did taste plenty watered down for the LA Galbi made up for it. The meat was tender and nicely seasoned. They were also massive and certainly made the meal worth it. Next time Im around I am definitely grabbing this LA Galbi. Overall, the food isn't the best but it wasn't the worst. I do believe it would've been far better with more salt/seasoning but would come back any day for the galbi. read more
My favorite Korean restaurant to dine at. I would go more often if they were closer to the city. It may seem far, but they do have a parking lot. Everything that I've had on their menu so far has never disappointed me. Their chicken is crispy with just enough flavor. They released combo sets which comes with 4 different dishes for such a great price depending on which one you get. I've also had their Tonkatsu before and it was delicious. read more
Everything I had here was really delicious! Our group of 6 came on a Sunday evening and was seated right away. The menu here is massive with a lot of options. Unlike other Korean restaurants, they only gave us two banchans (salad and kimchi) which were both really good. We ordered soondae and steamed dumplings for appetizers. The soondae was great and the dumplings were alright. I ordered the Tang Plus Set where you can choose a Korean bbq meat and a stew for $22. I got the galbi and spicy beef soondubu which were both delicious. Will definitely come back to try some of their other dishes. read more
You come here because it's affordable here and it's available late at night. It's not because the food is good nor because the service is amazing. You pay cheap prices for cheap quality and non existing service. Service could use a lot of improvements. The place was not packed and it was hard to flag someone down. No one really walks around to see if you need anything. Just order taking service, takes your order, give you your food and that's a wrap. I got up various times to get a new cup because mine was dirty, got my own utensils (needed a fork) and an additional napkin. I would much rather dish out the additional money to get some quality "Korean food" and quality service. I did enjoy the complimentary salad is good, one of the only ginger miso dressing I do like. The kimchee is mildly spicy, good for those that can't tolerate spicy. The tofu soup is so bland, I wanted to just pack it home and add flavor to it. The kalbi is decent, bur definitely not the best quality beef. The chilean sea bass is super fishy and they give you mostly end pieces of the fish. read more

Been here several times for dinner and I feel like my experience changes every time... Overall, it is a pretty solid place and good for dinner. They have parking right next to the restaurant which is extremely convenient and I almost never need to wait for a table. They are always busy and always have people there even right before closing. I've never had an issue with their service and they always refill our banchan. I went here on a Friday night right before closing and they were nice enough to let us order. The food we got that night was absolutely delicious. I always order the Yukgaejang and this was the first time it was so delicious. The squid/octopus bibimbap was also very good. read more

Great ambiance and the staff was super friendly! I was wearing white and the staff was so kind to give me a plastic bib so I won't dirty my top. The food tasted great and the spice level is perfect for me. The variety of food they have is amazing. It's now my go-to Korean restaurant when I'm in the area! :) read more

Ordered take out about 2 days ago Grilled mackerel, japchae, pork jowl, fried chicken wings(soy garlic) and kalbi I love their mackerel and japchae, but pork jowl and kalbi are tasteless, and chicken wings are saggy. Their food used to be better but I'm a little disappointed of their consistency of the quality. read more
This has consistently been one of our favorite Korean restaurants in this area. They not only sell Korean food but they also sell a variety of other Asian dishes like Japanese ramen and sushi. One of the great things about this restaurant is that they have combo sets that cost $22. This can be a super filling meal for one person, leftovers for another day, or split between two people (and both be satisfied). Other places have similar combos, but I feel like this restaurant really does the best job. They have a lot of space, and can usually take large parties. Also their service is really fast and you get your food in no time at! My top recommendation would be the combo set with Kalbi and Soondubu. So good! read more

4.5 stars overall. Service with a smile and everything was delicious. I had been itching to try this place for ages, finally got a chance. It's one of the top ten Best Korean in Queens. Now I know why! Well air-conditioned, spacious and well lit. The servers were on point and before I could ask, hot tea and three bottled pitchers of water were on my table in seconds. Note: entire party must be present to be seated (unless they are not busy). I was here with a group of eight. Thankfully all good eaters and ok with spicy food. While they recently added ramen to the menu and a very good Curry selection, I stuck with ordering their Korean fare. The only exception was my kid who must have salmon sushi because he saw it on the menu. Prices are fairly reasonable and with so many "combination" options, you can order smart! Whole bill before tax and tip, $195 for 8 people. Yeah, I had plenty of leftovers but still...the food was great a second time as well. Suggestions: - Pancake sampler, something for everyone. Fish/veggies/spicy peppers/ meat. It was good for sharing but next time, I'd rather the traditional scallion and squid. Eat it quickly, not good cold. - Order the porridge if you're a fan of that category in general. Otherwise I would say it's comfort food and filling so leaves little room to eat more. - Tofu stews, just because. There's a few choices, seafood or not, vegetarian or not. You'll like it. Soup-y. Good stuff. Recommendations, must try: - Galbi, grilled beef ribs. The bone pieces were so juicy. The meat was tender enough to chew and fatty just enough for that extra oomph. - Soy Garlic Chicken wings, it was for the kids but I must say, I was happy to try one. Korean fried chicken style, sticky and flavorful. The meat was juicy/didn't taste frozen. Finger licking good. - Grilled Bronzino, beautiful grilled marks and just a bit crunchy on the sides. Smoky and well seasoned. Great price and perfect for sharing. - cheesy rice cakes. A guilty pleasure. The pan is hot, make no mistake! Rice cakes were cooked perfectly, not rubbery and not too chewy. Awesome cheese flavor and it was gooey to scoop. Yummy. - Jap Chae was delicious. The cellophane noodles were on point. Lots of toppings in this noodle dish and it was so refreshing, served room temperature. Overall dining experience was comfortable and service was great. My only complaint was that they forgot my rice... So we had to ask for it. It came with two based on my combination entrees. Otherwise they do charge for more. Basically like a Korean diner - does not specialize in a particular item and you can't really go wrong with what you order. The restaurant is really nice and looks very welcoming. There are a lot of options on the menu, similar to a diner. As a result, don't expect amazing quality with what you order. I ordered LA Galbi and Beef Tofu Soup combo ($22) and it was decent. They didn't give that much galbi and they were fairly small. The soup was very big but it tasted watered down. If you are coming here for this kinda of food I would recommend going to a place that specializes it like BCD Tofu House. I've only been here two times but I can tell that this is basically like a Korean diner - lots of options but quality definitely is not amazing. I can't speak to the quality of other dishes since I've only tried the tofu soup combo, and it wasn't very great. As a result I would give it 3.5 starts but since that isn't possible, 3 starts has to suffice. read more

False advertisement, menu says 13$. Actually ended paying 20$. So for the expected price I expected at least some side dishes with my soup, but nope. Literally waste of money and a disappointment. If your going to charge 20$ for a soup i expect side dishes at least. Like what the fuck actually??? Not going back might as well go any other Korean restaurant and get side dishes with better food at a cheaper price too. Edit just tasted the soup, salty and bland taste like absolute garbage actually. Appalled at this point. Terrible restaurant I do not recommend. read more

Intro: This place had quite a number of good reviews, so we decided to check it out for dinner since we were in the mood for something warm and soupy. We got seated immediately for a table of 2 on a Friday night. Food: We started off with the seafood pajeon (pictured). It was very battery and crispy, a bit too much for me. Honestly, it felt really heavy and oily and I wished there were some more ingredients like chives to balance out the flavor. Super one-dimensional and a not very good flavor at that. I ordered the sundubu for the main course. In my opinion, this was just very average: it definitely wasn't bad by any standards but it wasn't good either, and I find it hard to give it any points given the abundance of other delicious sundubu places around the area. It just felt bland to me and given the price point, I find it hard to justify it. Tl;dr: Korean restaurant. Not bad but I think there are better options especially at the price point. This rating is not based on the taste/quality of their food but an overall experience that I had yesterday for dinner. My friends and I spontaneously came here after browsing through yelp. I was pretty excited and I wanted to like this place (there was nothing wrong with the food) but I left here on a bad note. Seating time was good. We got seated after 5 minutes. I ordered first and decided to get the combo LA Kalbi with blue crab soup. My friends all ordered combos and we all decided to share the 10pc korean fried chicken and the makgeolli drink. We first got our drink and side dishes. Then much later, my friend's combo came. It was weird when I saw my friends get their combos at the same time so I decided to ask about my food, which the server responded that it's coming. I looked after to see if he had checked with the kitchen. Nope. He went back to standing by his kiosk. I thought it'll probably come out later with the 10pc wings that we ordered. About 15-20 minutes goes by, my friends were halfway done with their food and I noticed 2 other tables that had arrived a few minute after us receiving their food. So then our wings came, and lo and behold, my food combo wasn't there. My friend helped me ask the waiter who served our food. The waiter was puzzled and asked the server. The server and the waiter had their side chat to place my order and then the server told me 3 minutes. And that's when he went to check with the kitchen. Finally. After a few minutes, my soup came but I was missing the LA Kalbi. I asked what about my kalbi? And he was like oh, then went back to the kitchen. It's baffling how my order was completely forgotten after I reminded him. Yes, the la kalbi did come and he did apologize (probably out of courtesy because he didn't when we asked for the check.) I didn't felt like I was taken care of by the server, and if my friend never asked the waiter, I would've probably not had my food until they were done eating because I wouldn't have ask any time soon. I wasn't happy with our tips either (we did 18%) but I understand there's still a pandemic going on and businesses are struggling. read more

This was a mommy needs alone time lunch. I came into the restaurant the host asked to see proof of vaccination and lead me to a clean table with hand sanitizer which I appreciate. I tried the fish and spicy beef set. The soup was hot just like I like it and not overly salty. The fish was fried crispy on outside and remained tender on inside. The lunch was delicious, I ordered 3 more sets for dinner takeout so I didn't need to cook when I got home. Win win situation.. read more

They seem to be changing formats. They still offer sullungtang, but it's not actually on the menu anywhere. They also Thai curry, pho, fried chicken and Italian pasta... The sullungtang was bland and my dad added 3teaspoons of salt, and the seafood pasta that I got was just mush covered in cheese. read more
Food: 3/5 This establishment has a huge menu but it's originally known for their sullungtang. My review is solely based on their sullungtang broth. I ordered the soondaeguk to compare broths from down the street (Ga Hwa) and I personally think Ga Hwa has better broth. Tang definitely gives more filling (soondae) but the broth wasn't as good. We also ordered the kalbi and tofu soup combo and took a sushi box to go. Their menu is so extensive and I haven't tried enough of their food but for a place originally known for their sullungtang, I was a bit disappointed. Service: 3/5 The restaurant was so packed and service seemed a bit slow. Not sure if it's because every table was taken but it was a bit of a hassle getting refills for water and the check. Ambiance: 5/5 This place was recently renovated and it's very spacious and nice on the inside. High ceilings, open concept with huge TVs everywhere. There is a sushi bar near the entrance. read more
Tang is one of my go to spots for Korean food. They have good set menus where you can choose 2 items for one price. I've never had to wait long for a table but they can get busy. I've been coming here for years and recently, they expanded the menu even more to include ramen, curry, sushi sets and other items! I typically come for the set menu and order tofu soup/bibimbap/cold noodles + meat/fish. When I come with a larger party, we would get a seafood pancake to share and also jokbal (pig feet). The seafood pancake is always crispy and delicious. The pig feet is gelatinous with good pieces of meat too. Their tofu soup is similar to most places as well as the meat. I've also gotten sushi and ramen here but it's just alright. The sushi prices are a lot more expensive than most places. They don't give a lot of banchan, only salad and kimchi. Although they have a wide offering of items on their menu, the food is still good. They're also open 24/7 so it fulfills late night cravings. read more
Another day, another trip to flushing/queens where we try the local ethnic cuisine. Today is Tang, a restaurant with accolades, some local heritage, and backed by a lot of really high Yelp review ratings. I was going to go in depth about each of the dishes we tried but honestly, just thinking about how bland and unmemorable they all were makes me yawn in boredom. Some highlights tho. If you're going to serve a soondubu jigae, at least try to make it from scratch like a self-respecting restaurant. The thing tasted like a store-bought mix flavored up with some MSG and random meat to mask the obviously shallow depth of flavor and complexity. It really just tasted like spicy MSG water with tofu floating around. Even the mediocre shitshow that is BCD in Manhattan's ktown is better than this hot garbage. You want legendary tofu soup? Go to tofu lighthouse in Annandale VA, or Rockville MD. The katsu was odd in that the sauce that was lightly drizzled on top was also present in the form of a hurricane Katrina level flood of the disgustingly sweet concoction all throughout the pan/plate itself. What's the point of a light drizzle on top if you're just going to flood the underside into a soggy, gooey disaster anyway? The omurice next to the katsu was inevitably flooded in the same sickly syrup, though maybe it needed it anyway considering how absolutely dreary it tasted. Zero seasoning inside, remarkably tasteless egg outside, the omurice tasted like something someone allergic to salt would make. The rest of this affair was similarly perplexing and simultaneously bland yet frivolously worked on in an attempt to impart last second additional flavor, as if the kitchen knew that their dishes would taste like ass so they quickly put every dish through a syrup/MSG conveyor belt. Tang? More like Hang, Me On A Noose This Food Tastes Like Shit Once again we have suffered through another shit meal in flushing/queens, where the reviews are inflated by some delusional morons or local fan boys and everyone else has to suffer at the expense of their lies. 1/10 there are definitely no expert Korean aunties working the kitchen at this "restaurant". read more

It was our first time there today and we went to celebrate my mom's birthday. The place is quite large and lots of long tables big enough for large parties. We were able to sit down right away for lunch, however when we were handed the menus, we felt the dishes shown on the menus were all over the place. Items on one page didn't segway nicely into items on the following page. It was a bit of jumble-ness trying to figure out what's what and where's what on the menu. Once we put our order in there, we were treated with salad with ginger dressing and some kimchis. So if you come here thinking you will be treated with tons of Korean mini appy's...this place is not it. The food came out pretty quick which was good, but the servers were a tad too rushed and felt sloppy when trying to match up the food to the people who ordered them. Now onto the food, there were some positive notes such as the soy garlic chicken of 10 pieces for $17. That was really good and pack a delicious crunch and even the seafood pancake. I enjoyed my grilled mackerel combo which i added a spicy beef tofu soup for $25 total. These two pairings were very good and they cooked the spice degree to my perfection (meaning not too spicy). My wife got the braised ribs with kimchi soup and she very much enjoyed her ribs and they were quite meaty. My son got the beef bulgogi which the presentation and taste were off. It was too watery and the bulgogi pieces were too stringy. They were however very accommodating and helping to celebrate my mother's birthday with happy birthday song and music while we eat our cake. All in all, lots of positive notes with this place and great memories for my parents, but also a few areas that we wish they would improve on going forward. read more

I am late in the game with this review but better than never! I have visited Tang a few times over the last past two years or so. Combination set meals are the big draws of this restaurant and I thought the food was really good as well! First off, the restaurant is pretty big and the space is really comfortable. The variety of the food menu is great for the everyone with different taste buds or cravings. I love that we get complimentary house salad, fresh cabbage with spicy soybean paste, and kimchi. All were really great to start off our meal every time! My hubby and I enjoyed the combination sets so that we can try different things. We are both big fans of their grilled fishes like the branzani and the spanish mackerel sets. We usually love pairing it with the seafood soondubu or any of their other stews. Other dishes like the Assorted Pancakes were great to share when you come with a big party. Sushi is not bad neither! Meals here feel very healthy and hearty here at the same time! I was excited to try Tang because of the exclusive vegetarian menu - a rarity at most Korean restaurants. That was the main reason for making a trek here, deep in the far reaches of Eastern Queens. Things started promisingly enough. The restaurant is spacious but lively, and our first dish to come, the veg japchae, was above average. The kimchi pancake which followed was also excellent. However, the mung bean pancake lacked a kick. The real disappointment was the mushroom soondoobu, which was disgustingly flavourless - one of the worst I've ever had. It is not that hard to make a tasty vegetarian broth, but I guess some restaurants think that if you don't eat meat then you don't enjoy flavor. read more

This place is the bomb.com. Me and my friends pretty much go here whenever we have a hankering for Korean food. The value is good and the galbi is good quality. Always go for the galbi. Been here a few times with my friends in the past. The most recent dish I tried was their nengmyeun which was pretty good. Their kimchi was so delicious I couldn't stop eating it. It was really good and the service was really good too! For all the times I've been here, I would say this place is a 9 out of 10 for me. I think this is the only Korean restaurant in this area so it's a nice option to have and their interior is very capacious and simply designed. They're also very clean and organized. My kimchi post doesn't look that appetizing but I promise you it is! :) One of my fav dishes from here is the Ssam pork belly dish. It used to be my all-time favorite! I don't know what happen, maybe I got the wrong item. Wont come back here. Food was plain as you can see in my udon noodle. No flavor what's so ever. The water was no pleasing to drink maybe from the container they give it to us in. The food not good. Atmosphere nice with big tvs up. Music videos were playing on there. Service was ok. They were rushing us because they were closing within an hour. I got seafood udon and told them no meat is inside right and they said ok. Apparently "meat" also refers to "seafood". Didn't get my shrimp that was suppose to be inside. I didn't deal with it since they were closing. read more
If you are ordering takeout or delivery, I would suggest ordering at least 30 minutes to 1 hour in advance. There are many orders during the evening and had to wait with UberEats/Grubhub/other people with take out orders. The selection has widely expanded over the years to include pasta, ramen, Korean fried chicken, and curry in addition to the regular Korean menu. I recommend the LA kalbi and mild soondubu tofu soups (seafood, beef, or combo). The mild is still a little spicy and flavorful without making you cry from the heat. The kimchi was much spicier today than the previous orders I've had in the past. There is outdoor dining in the parking lot next to the restaurant with plastic divider screens. The service may be a little slower than usual though because I only saw two workers outside and no one greeted me at the entrance to take my order. read more
Haven't had a sit down dinner in Tangs since last year so it was good to enjoy dinner at the restaurant. They take your temperature and have you fill out a form when you first enter. The service is always courteous and attentive. read more
I made a reservation about two weeks ago for my friend's pre-super duper early birthday dinner celebration tonight. I requested the booth seat by the brick wall and had the hostess noted that my guy friend cannot pay the bill lol because it was a birthday celebration! We arrived on time for my reservation at 7:30 pm tonight. It was very crowded in the waiting area in front of the hostess podium. I told the guy that I had a reservation and said "Anna"...they seated us right away! Japchae *Korean Glass Noodle* minus mushrooms...Ooo very flavorful and saucy noodle Jeon: Seafood and Green Onion Pancake...there were a lot of pieces of seafood within every bite man Korean Grill *from the kitchen*: LA Galbi (large size)...hubba hubba *mama like* wish there were more fatty pieces on the beef short ribs Oh boy, we both were stuffed like roasted pigs with apples in our mouths haha! I had the Pancake and Japchae to go since those were the only two dishes left. I whispered to our server that I am going to paying the bill but she showed me a dessert menu lol so I had explained a second time then she got it. I was walking over to use the bathroom and the server showed me the amount of the bill. I took care of it at the register because I am treating my friend for his early birthday dinner.
