I've ordered from Bell Garden a few times because it's so convenient. It's literally within 5 minutes of me on Bell Blvd. Normally I would pick up my food, but if Bell Blvd is hectic, I order delivery. I used to really enjoy the food, but lately the quality has declined. Some orders were extremely greasy, literally a pool of oil at the bottom, and overall it hasn't been consistent. The bigger issue has been the delivery driver. From what the owner told me, they only have one, and unfortunately he has been unpleasant every time. I hand him the cash for the order and the tip and make it clear. I say, "This is for the order, and this is your tip." Even then, he interrupts me and says things like, "You don't give me a tip. You Americans never tip. You motherf***er. F*** you," even though he literally has the tip in his hand. This has happened multiple times and the language and disrespect are completely uncalled for. I spoke to the owner, who apologized, but the problem continued. Because of this and the decline in food quality, I switched to Panda Garden just 1 to 2 blocks away. I had never tried them before, but they are a hidden gem. The food is fresh, high quality, and not greasy at all. I will not be ordering from Bell Garden anymore, which is disappointing given how close it is, but Panda Garden has won me over. read more

Took advantage of their lunch specials which included h/s soup which was spicy yet had too much corn starch as thickener. The broccoli and chix was poorly cooked. The broccoli was precooked and thrown together sorta like an afterthought basically not stir fried together. Good, affordable food on Bell Boulevard. We had a lunch combo which included a meat, rice and soda at about $11 after taxes. Employees are welcoming. There are 3 tables to dine inside. Never heard of crab made from flour. then how is that crabmeat. The BBQ rib tips, chicken with broccoli are my favorite things. I like that the food taste like Chinese take out its nothing fancy. I usually love their pork fried rice- it's full of flavor but when I got them this time around, it was lacking in all flavor profiles. The rice was not tangy but more on the soggy side. Pork fried rice was more on the bland side. The sesame chicken flavor was great and so were the ribs and beef! Service is what you would expect at a Chinese take out store. Not bad not amazing. This is your typical local Chinese takeout spot situated on the Bell Boulevard strip. The prices are reasonable and the quality is definitely above average. So far, I have tried the beef with broccoli, sesame chicken, beef with garlic sauce and kung pao chicken. The only dish I didn't really enjoy was the kung pao chicken. It was decent, but I've had better elsewhere. What really stands out to me is their fried rice. It is fluffy, flavorful and not greasy at all. The chicken rice soup is excellent and the egg rolls are the standard greasy treat found at all Chinese takeout spots. The workers are very nice and everything is prepared quickly. read more

This was our first time trying out this local Chinese restaurant and it was a surprise. The portion for each dish was generous and bigger than expected. My family of five (3 kids at age 3, 6 and 11) ordered four dishes, the food was able to feed all of us and had left over for lunch for the next day. I liked the Chao Fun a lot. The Fun was thin as silk and it did not stick together at all. The House Special Lo Main was so so, nothing really special. I felt it was only roasted pork and shrimp Lo Main. Lots of oil in the Lo Main. The beef with broccoli was tasty and the beef was not chewy at all. I also ordered the Beef Chao Fun, it was delicious and my kids finished it before I remember to take a picture of it. The place is small and a bit disorganized though. The cashier lady was multitasking when she took my order. She did not give a receipt after I paid, she just said that she would recognize me when I came back to pick up the orders.
