The Seaside Plaza is the furthest south on the northbound side of Route 1 - meaning that while driving up from Bethany Beach - it's your first outlet location of the day! With Aerie, American Eagle, Hollister, Abercrombie, Express, and more, I'd consider this plaza well stocked. They also have a Mission BBQ, Auntie Anne's, Build-A-Bear Outlet, Five Below, Borders... and soooo much more! The Tanger Outlets are a nice shopping option in the Rehoboth Beach area. They offer plenty of name-brand stores, similar to what you'd find in a typical mall, and there's lots of parking--though it's located along a very busy road. The only downside is that the outlets aren't all in one centralized location. You have to drive to different sections along and across the road to visit all the stores, so you'll find yourself getting in and out of your car multiple times if you want the full shopping experience. Overall, it's a good place to browse, and you may find some bargains, but it's not a conveniently centralized setup. read more

We stopped by here while on vacation. They have tons of stores and ample parking. There are a few outlet malls that are located within 15 minutes of each other by driving. The stores had decent sales, but the biggest draw is no sales tax. They have some online coupons, but the app isn't the best. It doesn't always show the store when you search for it. A few times, I tried searching for a store, and it didn't appear only after I had already made a purchase and was checking for another store. Where do visitors to the Rehoboth Beach area go on a cloudy day? I'll bet you a nickel most of them made a pilgrimage to the Tanger Outlets, just like we did. The Tanger Outlets is really three separate shopping centers spread along a mile or so from each other on Route 1. There's the gigantic Tanger Seaside and the smaller Tanger Surfside and Tanger Bayside on the other side of Route 1. They feature the usual complement of stores -jewelry, adult and children's clothing, footwear, home and household, specialties and just a few food places. If you ever wanted to poke around an "As Seen On TV" shop for bizarre infomercial gizmos, Seaside has one. It looks like Tangers collectively has 174 options for you to patronize. This Tanger Outlet is a big different from the other ones I have been to. What I mean by that is that it is not centralized in the least. There are three separate areas that you can shop at, Seaside, Bayside, and Surfside. I did most of my shopping in the Bayside portion and kind of did a quick drive through of the other two. Not everything will tickle your fancy. If I'm not mistaken there is something like two miles between the sites, but it is mostly walkable as well. I think you can park at one of the sites and use the public transportation to get to the other sites as well. They do have a good spread of stores as well as other services spread out through the properties. You can definitely make a day out of it by coming here. From what I could tell there is no food court, but there are eateries on or nearby that will allow you to have a snack. Ample parking and their amenities are decent. Charging stations for cars, ATMs, bathrooms. Basically you typical outdoor mall. read more

The Tanger Outlet Mall at Rehoboth were really nothing to write home about, price wise. The outlets themselves were beautiful. Super friendly staff, very accommodating at the customer service center. Everyone was really friendly. The bathrooms were super neat and tidy. Parking was plenty, easy to maneuver. The stores themselves were a letdown. I found that a ton of the stores were just regular stores, not outlets. It was odd. We were really looking forward to the Torrid outlet but when we got there it was just a regular store. I've never seen that before and was confused. Some stores did have good deals. Overall I didn't buy much, it was a day spent out and walking around but I don't think they're really worth it. read more

Conveniently placed along the Maryland and Delaware border, this Tanger outlet location has all of the popular brand stores and a handful of the designer brand stores. The tax-free incentive to shop here made this a destination beyond the Maryland outlet areas near Ocean City. Saving on tax, looking through the outlet coupon book, definitely don't have to worry about the new Biden tax plan just yet. Less than a 20 minute drive from the center of Ocean City.This is really 3 different block-shaped outlet areas under the Tanger umbrella. Our crew went to Adidas, Vans, Zumiez, MK, CK, and a few others. Crowds were minimal and COVID-safe except inside the Yankee candle shop where masks came off for scent sniffing. SMH. Restroom and food court facilities were clean and not crowded. I would shop here again in the future. read more

Bottom Line: One of the three outlet shopping centers in Rehoboth with stores for all tastes. I recently visited Tanger Outlets in Rehoboth for the first time. I knew they were popular given no sales tax in Delaware but I didn't realize how many outlets there were. There are actually three different Tanger Outlets shopping areas. This review is for the northern most outlets. The other two shopping areas are about two miles south also on Coastal Highway. This shopping area is called Tanger Surfside and I suspect it might be the smallest of the three. My husband wanted to go to Vineyard Vines but I spent my time in Soma. The largest store in this shopping area is Ralph Lauren Polo. There is a good variety of stores in this shopping area. Some of the fancier stores include Tory Burch, Kate Spade and Tumi. Some of the more average stores include Rack Room Shoes, Book Warehouse and Bath and Body Works. So a nice variety at different price points. There is not much in the way of eateries in this area so pack a snack! I think the only place to get a drink might be some vending machines. read more

Tanger Outlets is a very high quality shopping center. The stores there are very nice! It does remind me of Clarksburg outlets which is not a bad thing just very similar. They have different variety's of stores such as Forever 21, Micheal Chores, Calvin Klein, Claire's, etc. And to my cosmetic fans they have a gigantic Ulta Beauty in construction which is coming soon! Food wise, there is not that many options to choose from. To be specific there is a chipotle and a apple bees in the center but it is not irrelevant to the outlets. Talking about food they have food trucks (I do not recommend Sherri's crab cake food truck) so you can munch on some food if so. read more

Lot of variety of stores. Only thing that I do not like about going here is that there are so many little streets you have to cross to get to one store to another and lot of distracted drivers. Everything is so far distances that you walk walk walk to get to one end and walk back to your car passing the same store. Then the other half of the outlet is across the steer from busy intersection. If you have little kids, just avoid it. Not worth the stress. read more

Actually my first time here! Tips: + stop by the customer service desk to get a coupon book if you are a AAA member. You can also pay a one time membership fee to become a lifetime member and get the coupon book that way. + Sometimes they do fundraisers such as for Breast Cancer Awareness and anyone can buy a "coupon card." For example, I bought one for $15 and it was a donation to BC. But with that, I was able to get 25% on one time in a long list of participating stores every day for the month of October. That could rack up to a lot of savings if you plan it right. + There are 3 different areas for the outlets, all on the same road, but not really within walking distance of each other. Look at the maps ahead of time and plan your trip so you can maximize your time at the outlets! You can definitely spend a really long time here! Overall, I had a good experience here. The deals weren't crazy at all the stores. I liked Express and NY&Co. I think sometimes it could be a hit or miss depending on what you are looking for and what you are in the mood for. We drove over an hour out of the way from O.C. MD on a Monday to come to these outlets because I was excited I actually found an outlet that has a Lululemon store. We arrive and see it's closed up with a sign on the door. The store literally had just closed up the day before on Sunday, no lie. I wish there was something posted on the Tanger outlet website saying it was going to be closing. We even could have went there on Saturday if I had known, since we kinda drove past the outlets on the way to O.C. MD. Besides the huge disappointment that this store was closed, I didn't really find anything special in any of the other stores. I usually find a ton of clothes at ASICS at other outlets. I didn't really find anything at this store though. I saw some of the same items that were at the outlets when we went 6 months ago. The newer stuff they did have looked like it fit weird and they didn't have any basic tanks that I wanted. I did buy a sports bra only because I felt like I had to buy something so it didn't feel like a complete waste of a trip, and I could use more sports bras. The only good thing about this trip was that we went to Rehoboth Beach afterwards and found some nice stores there where I bought stuff. Next year we want to go back to Rehoboth Beach it's a nice little town, but most likely won't go to these outlets again. read more

Tanger's Rehoboth Beach outlet center has THREE different mall locations along the main highway strip. While it's exciting that they have so many stores, it's REALLY annoying to try to navigate the time-wasting U-turns across 6 lanes of crazy DE-drivers in traffic, in order to get from one center to another. It's also discouraging to find that the stores you want to visit are split between all THREE centers, and in my case, I just give up on half of them because it has never been worth all the driving and traffic hassle to navigate to them all. I used to travel 2.5 hours (each way) to visit these outlets every few months. That was over a decade ago. The outlets, all of them, have changed. There used to be a lot of actual retail items (albeit past-season or closeout) at very steep discounts (70%-90% off) in outlet stores. Then, when the housing bubble popped, these items disappeared. In their place came the Factory Brand lines, which were, in most cases, not stylish, and much more cheaply made. Better stores disappeared from the outlets, too, which gave me even fewer reasons to go. AND, prices INCREASED on top of quality diminishing, so honestly, the outlets became a joke, and I totally stopped going. These days, as far as fashion goes, almost everything is cheaply made be it retail or not ($90 Acrylic sweaters? YUK!). So I haven't found much need to drive 5hrs roundtrip for less-stylish stuff than I can get at the local mall. In this case, Tanger was still sending me emails and mailers from my long-ago membership (free). This year, they sent me a birthday coupon for Under Armour, and we happened to be going to Rehoboth, and we had to drive past the outlets to get to Cape Henlopen State Park, so I stopped. Luckily, I also got a Tanger coupon book with my membership (free), by visiting the office, and that added to the savings, which Under Armour will combine. I got a deal at Under Armour, but I stopped in several other stores while there, and nothing was a bargain. I can do just as well at any mall near me, especially with retail coupons. Tanger can be useful for places like Vineyard Vines (there is one in this center), which have a limited number of retail stores, and are mostly a catalog/online business. Of their retail offerings, they have few sales, and they usually aren't very good. Brands like this, selling their same retail stock, are useful as outlets because they have fewer places to dump old stock, thus they will discount it to an affordable degree to move it out the door. Also, when you have Tanger Outlet coupons on top of those sales, it can be worth a trip. * * * TIP * * * Retail stores began creeping into outlet mall real estate over a decade ago. If it doesn't say "outlet" or "factory store" in the title, it's NOT an outlet. So be aware that you're entering a regular retail store, the same as your mall at home, when you don't see "outlet" out front. This Tanger "Outlet" Mall location has various RETAIL stores in it; a Victoria's Secret/PINK combo store, a Bed, Bath & Beyond, and an American Eagle, among others. Sometimes they may add a coupon to the Tanger coupon book, but usually it's the same retail coupon as their regular mailers. * * * TIP * * * If you have an AAA membership, there is an additional coupon book you get for free by visiting the office and showing them your AAA card. I used to get these when I had AAA; there is some overlap, but some additional stores are included, and some better discounts. * * * TIP * * * AARP members have a similar extra coupon book to the AAA members above. * * * TIP * * * Tanger members can visit the office with their receipts from the outlet stores to get them recorded, and earn points for free gifts, and $10-$20 coupons for various stores. * * * TIP * * * Tanger members get emails with coupons and specials all year, PLUS a birthday coupon for $10 - $15 off at a different store each year. Always visit Tanger Outlets anytime I find a location. There are always good stores to choose from. Rehoboth beach has a good amount of shopping options. I only visited the Nike Outlet that day, but I was able to get in and out in less than 15 mins! The store associates were helpful and the store was organized. This outlet center is confusing. The place itself is divided into 3-4 quadrants and I find it very inconvenient to have to drive to different parts of the outlet to go to different stores. The parts are not walking distance and is divided by a busy 8 lane Coastal Highway. I only visited the section that had Nike, Columbia, Under Armour, The North Face, etc. Parking was ample and the restrooms were clean. The best part was this place is TAX FREE! I found some good deals - I just wish the place was connected so I had access to all the stores. read more

It was Thanksgiving evening, left to go to the outlets, arrived at 11:30pm, to the Mid-Way center. It was so crowded it took like 25 min to find a parking spot. There were a lot of people and everyone seemed to be pretty festive considering the late hour. The other two centers were also crowded. It was very cold and walking around and waiting in line was not worth the savings to me. The prices are great for Black Friday and day after Christmas...and no tax makes these outlets a great shopping trip. Happy holidays and make sure you have the Tanger card with you. Why pay taxes? Don't shop in Maryland - Shop Delaware & Save Money! A short drive up Rt 1 from Ocean City, Fenwick Island, Bethany Beach, Dewey, you'll hit the Rohoboth Outlets. Now....if it's high season, that drive might NOT be all that short. I'm just sayin mile-wise, it's not all that far. But it's worth the trip to save 6% on all purchases! I'm not the kind of shopper who goes for a day to just wander around window shopping. Hey, that's me. But the Tanger outlets really do have the BEST prices! The Coach store is my Go To store for great bargains. When you go into Coach, keep your eyes open if the sales associates are passing out coupons. Some are for 30% off anything in the store...sometimes more! Head to the back room for the sales, you can use your coupon for those, too! I've gotten SO many bargains here! Gifts galore and wallets. I also pay full price at the Columbia Mall for certain hard-to-find-bags - especially if Coach has sent me a 20% entire purchase coupon - but again, why pay taxes? Lynn, the tall blonde gorgeous friendly manager always helps me find the best deals and steers me towards bags I might not have noticed. OK, I admit - I have a slight Coach addiction. Don't judge me. Loves the great stores at Tanger Seaside outlets in Rehoboth Beach. There are tons of stores to choose from. This time, the church bus trip was divided. You could either shop OR go to the beach. If you wanted to do both, you had to make your own way between the two places and be at the bus by 5 (beach people) or 5:20 (shopping people). Or else, you risked being left in delaware. While I chose the beach, I did hop off first (yes, I elbowed the old ladies out of the way to be off first) to poke my head in the two stores nearest the bus to see if they had anything I just HAD to have. Came here during my weekend jazz trip to Rehoboth Beach. Tanger Outlets has the typical stores that are located at their other outlets in the U.S.: Coach, Nike, Old Navy, Bass, Haggar, Sunglass Hut, etc. What makes this location unique is that they have three separate outlet locations along Coastal Hwy., so it can be hectic, if traffic is a problem, navigating to and from each one. Inconvenient how the outlets are split into three different centers but think about it if they put all those stores together it would be massive! A true outlet shopper knows there are some stores with great deals and some stores with not so great deals. This is every outlet everywhere. I've gotten great deals at Vera Bradley, Alex and Ani, Carter's, and more. Watch for extra savings sales and doorbusters.
