Amazing farm to table options with the ability to shop and take home amazing fruits and veggies

Well, we made a reservation for noon time on a Friday. Once we got there there was a long line for people who also had reservations. The hostess then made an announcement that they only had one server and that was her. She also said they were already out of most of the specials. I understand there is a labor shortage but this was a little ridiculous. How could you be out of lunch specials at noon? If they were this short staffed they shouldn't have took so many reservations. If they didn't know they were going to be short staffed they should've reached out to the people who made reservations via text or email letting them know of the situation. read more

I've been a Tangerini's customer for a long time. Once you have produce from the farm, you are hooked. The items in the farmstand are incredible, too. They have wonderful baked goods, spreads, jarred fruits and veggies. There are meats, pies, cheeses and so much more. I'm really happy with the curbside pick up. You can also have lunch or ice cream outside - - which has the added bonus of the beautiful surroundings. read more

This place has been a family favorite for years. From the ice cream to the apple cider donuts, there's always a treat! Now with the new farm stand, we can buy locally grown food, honey and baked goods! They hire local workers and they have live music on the weekends. I really enjoyed going to Tangerini's with my family and this is the fourth week in a row my sister decided to go. It is a very family friendly place with blueberry picking all throughout July. It was extremely busy even with most of the blueberries being picked out (they also charge a $5 cover fee that then goes towards the price of your purchase which means you have to pick at least a pound to make up for it) but my family chose Tangerini's over other places because of their wonderful ice cream and apple cider donuts. The ice cream is extremely creamy and rich (though their sugar free ice cream is far too sweet) and they have a great selection of flavors.They also have the largest sunflowers that you can cut for $1.25 a stem. There's not much shade while out picking berries or flowers so be sure to go on a nice day! read more

Great food. Poor service. We came for breakfast today, were sat immediately but waited for 15 minutes before the waitress took our order (we were the first customers and she was talking with her colleagues). Both my wife and I had the egg-Sandy's, which I highly recommend. My daughter had the pumpkin French toast which was also very good. My daughter asked for a hot chocolate from two different servers/runners but neither server/runner came back with the hot chocolate or a reason why it never came. When the bill came, we didn't get to see what was on the bill as they just show you an amount on an IPad. It was only after we received the receipt via email that we realized that we had been charged for the hog chocolate. I think this is a family run farm and we love to support them but they need to better supervise the young waitresses and hostesses. read more

If you're looking for a nice fall day to spend with your family, go to Ward's Berry Farm. If you're looking to be talked down to and treated poorly by the 19-year old staff, then look no further than Tangerini's Farm! The new owners have done a great job at ruining all the great things that Tangerini's had to offer. Came with family on a Saturday and asked for a table to sit down, all but one of which was completely empty. When we asked for a table, we were told to go online and make a reservation. We were unable to make an online reservation, even though almost all the tables in front us were empty. The 'hostess' said that she literally did not have a way to make a reservation for us, and we were left standing there looking at 5 empty tables. The 'hostess' called over her 'manager' (maybe 19 years old?) who told us to leave, make a reservation, and come back. Instead of this, we decided to take our family and our business to Ward's Berry Farm, which was everything we were hoping for. Ward's Berry Farm had a pleasant staff, tasty food, and a great family atmosphere - all the while adhering to Covid-19 social distancing guidelines. We were not talked down to by teenagers, and we did not have to jump through any hoops to SIT DOWN with our family. To clarify - Tangerini's did not tell us that all the tables were fully reserved. They said that they were unable to seat us because we did not already have a reservation, and that in order to sit down we needed to go online and make a reservation. We had poor cellular service, (you know, because we were on a FARM), and we were unable to make a reservation. The staff was unable to accommodate us, and unable to seat us at any of the empty & unreserved tables right in front of our faces. Avoid a headache go to Ward's Berry Farm in Foxboro. read more

Waited 10 minutes to be seated for our 2PM reservation. Waited an additional 25 minutes to have a waitress take our order. Waited 15 minutes to get 3 of the 5 ordered drinks and another 10 minutes to get the last two drinks 1 at a time. Waited another 20 minutes to be served 4 of the 5 meals. Two of the 5 were the grilled asparagus salads: 1 with bacon and 1 with chicken. As they were delivering the salads we were informed that they were out of bacon (despite many pounds of it for sale in the cooler) AND chicken. When asked why we were not informed earlier, we received a blank stare followed by a "We'll see". 5 minutes later the last dish arrived. 10 minutes later some grilled chicken arrived after most of the salads had been consumed. We ate our meals and waited and waited to see any waitress to pay for the meals and finally went looking for anyone to pay. Went to the retail shop and asked for a check. And then..... we waited. Finally the check arrived with a "I thought you already paid". We did not even check for the accuracy of the bill, just paid it. My son-in-law left a generous tip ( I think he was grateful to be done) and we departed. Overall theme: we waited. Flatbreads were better than average. Asparagus salad was mediocre; if the asparagus had been more grilled, it would have added more taste. Greens were fresh. Chips that came with my grandaughter's hot dog were excellent. While waiting, we had time to listen to the guitarist who was quite good but left @ 2:15? This was on a Sunday and they were busy. They were obviously deeply lost in the weeds. Not sure that I would like to return but, if I did, I would choose a quiet mid-week day to avoid the chaos. I have worked in restaurants and would have been more understanding if anyone came by and explained the confusion. read more

Off on a Sunday am drive we stopped and ordered 'the best bacon egg and cheese,' which i will say was an appropriate name, smoky fresh thick yet still crisp bacon egg and gooey cheese on english, delish. They do have coffee there as well, also nibbled on some apple cider donuts, plenty of outdoor seating for a nice day. My daughter and I went on a Saturday afternoon this summer for a girls' afternoon for lunch and blueberry picking. It was a Saturday and we had lunch reservations at 1. They were a little backed up so we had to wait, but it was clear that everyone there was working REALLY hard and doing the absolute best they could. The employees were all so nice and I witnessed multiple incidents where people who were frustrated with the back up being rude to the hostess and waitstaff but not once did an employee reciprocate that attitude. We went on the last day of blueberry picking and couldn't find many. We were kindly offered a refund (we didn't take it as we wanted to support such a great place). They also do a great job with trying to keep everyone safe re: covid. Overall I highly recommend! My only suggestion is try to eat during an off time or during the week if you are not ok with having to wait a bit despite your reservation. Oh and the food was excellent- so fresh! We will definitely be going back for apple picking (at prime time) and a late lunch! read more

Ever since the new owners purchased the farm it has just gotten better and better. The food is top notch although a little pricey, but it's all fresh and very tasty. Love this place! A friend brought me here to blueberry pick and it was wonderful. The blueberries were easily accessible, delicious and not terribly expensive. I also took a stroll through their market and picked up some goodies - feisty bread and butter pickles (I wish they sold these by the gallon), yummy salsa that I need to go back for, grape soda (when is the last time you had homemade grape soda?) delicious fresh corn and yes...warm, fresh off the fryer apple cider donuts. Google says they're open until 7 and doesn't specify that the sunflower field closes at 6 and only the store stays open till 7; yet, some guy in a truck (probably the owner in other reviews) said the fields are closed and to read the signs. Yes, it was 6:25, and we saw the sign, but we drove a long way there as new customers, so you'd think he wouldn't be as aggressive and say instead, "we do close the fields at 6, but feel free to stay for a few more minutes." Way to lose new customers, PAL! We were planning to enjoy some ice cream and buy some produce in the store, but since he was so rude, we just left. We won't be back. read more

I've been going to this farm since I was a little kid...during field trips and after school and weekends. It's just the past couple years I haven't been going...life gets busy ya know! Well yesterday a friend of mine and I went and we both got black raspberry ice cream and it was amazing and the amount you get in just a small is amazing! I also ordered the BLT and let me tell you that sour dough bread is amazing!...I see a trend of saying amazing but believe me! The bacon is amazing also! The new little farm stand is super nice and they offer tons of pickled and fresh veggies pre-picked. I bought a jar of peaches and I've already eaten half of them. Also I got a lemonade and it was just the right amount of sweetness and tart. Also we went and joined in some Apple picking and I will be going back for pumpkins and more food! I went to buy apples today and didn't have enough cash and they refused to let me pay with a credit card for less than $10. In the year 2018, less than 1% of the population carries cash. Everything is paid with Apple Pay and credit cards. Very disappointing. read more

This is a really fun place to go on a summer evening. There is a lot offered here, they have an ever-changing assortment of fruits and vegetables (as you would expect) as well as ornamental plants in their greenhouse. It's a real farmer's market here, with various local foods from other area farms as well. They sell ice cream that is unbelieveably good, just as tasty as any of the famous local ice cream places- and in the beautiful setting of a working farm. It's a great place for kids, there are goats you can pet and a corn maze in the old barn. The farmer and his wife are very friendly, there are walking trails around the fields and they will let you roam around the farm and take in the sights and smells of this beautiful place. This is a real hidden gem of a wonderful local place. read more

Came here for lunch with some out of town friends. The lunch was so good. A great menu of salads,sandwiches,flat breads,soup and drinks. All served on nice dishes and was quick. We ate outside on the porch which added to the great armosphere on this beautiful day. The food was supper fresh of course cause it comes off the farm. Better than any restaurant in the area. You will not be disappointed. You can do some pick your own what ever is in season. Pop in the store for produce. If you have kids they have farm animals and a little play area. Amazing. My family and I absolutely love this farm. We are on our third week of our first CSA and I don't think we can ever go back to grocery store vegetables. I bought some of the fresh baked bread they are now carrying and had to put it out of sight to stop myself from eating anymore. Tried this farm for apple-picking in mid-September. Because there were three of us, we had to buy the $45 bag. The orchard was very small and almost completely picked out. We literally could not fill the bag there were so few apples. What was left on the trees was mostly damaged/rotted and only reachable by my 6-foot-tall spouse with arms stretched fully out. There was nothing at all in the reach of children/young family members. A reputable orchard closes the u-pick down once the trees are empty, and I was incredibly disappointed that they were still advertising u-pick under these conditions. I won't be back. On a positive note, there was live music on the other side of the farm that sounded great, and the food coming out of the farm kitchen looked fantastic, so this place might be worth trying for a nice lunch on a late summer day. But if you're looking for the typical New England apple-picking experience, do yourself a favor and drive 15-20 minutes further to Tougas Family Farm in Northborough or one of the orchards in Bolton or Stow where you'll find a large variety of quality apples to pick through September and into October for a more reasonable cost and a generally more pleasant experience. At those orchards, they rope off rows that have been picked out or are not yet ripe and don't advertise fruit they don't actually have. read more

One of my favorite places to go! My family been visiting the farm for years. My kids love the ice cream and watching the donut machine at work, picking berries and apples, talking to the goats and chickens, and winding through the hay maze. This is our first year enjoying a CSA share, everything is so fresh and delicious and I look forward to each pickup. The Farmers Porch is delicious food and outstanding service. The staff goes above and beyond and obviously love what they do. I'm thrilled to see the farmstand has grown and the quality has remained top notch. The delicious menu and inventory changes seasonally and is always served with a smile. My husband and I are excited to try one of the new farm to table events. Very impressed with Tangerini's Farm! In the past few weeks have visited three times mainly because they turned me into a pie addict! Not even sure I should share this information because it could result in less pies being available for me to purchase. The produce is beyond fresh and their strawberries are out of this world! We picked our own strawberries for $5 a person with my kids and a friend and filled our baskets up and didn't have to pay additional for the strawberries. They charge for the weight you pick less your $5 admission. It was well worth the enjoyment of being in the sunshine and picking our own fruit together. We followed it up by some amazing ice cream cones! We enjoyed ourselves for a simple summer activity together! Definitely recommend. We'll be going back in a week for blueberry season... read more

I wish there were 10 stars to give! As soon as we got to Tangerini's, we knew we had arrived somewhere special. The land is beautiful, the people are friendly, the air is clean and crisp, and the blueberries.... PHENOMENAL! We made blueberry pancakes the next morning and they made our tongues turn blue! When was the last time that happened with grocery store blueberries? Tangerini's is a special place that I will go back to as many times as possible.
