This place is near my home and I am more of a "guilt" member than a daily visitor. I joined when the place first opened and have the basic membership. The place is definitely an asset to the local community and enhances the quality of life in the area. The 4 stars are because of the smoking area near the entrance to the building and because a few pieces of the equipment are not in top condition. The floor is divided up thoughtfully. There is a nice sitting area with a couch and a work station table with charging outlets. A chef service is available and one can order food online and pick it up at the gym from a refrigerator next to the work table. I use the heavy punching bag, a feature not seen in many gyms that are not boxing oriented. I like that the free weight section is in a separate room from the machines that I use. I usually spend about an hour for my visit and I go at various times late morning and early afternoon with my wife and notice that the place never seems crowded. There are a good number of older patrons like myself. I appreciate that the staff is not pushy or intrusive. The music volume in the gym is perfect; loud enough to cover the background noise and not so loud that it overcomes my earbuds. The locker rooms are very nice, spotless, and the showers feature superior quality fixtures with the multi-function shower heads mounted high, so the taller patrons don't have to duck down. This is by far the worst owner of any gym I've ever seen in the state of Arizona and I've lived here for 40 years he discriminates against trainers that Tried to come overfrom 7streetgym when it closed down he refused to let them come in and train their clients there yet his front Desk man said it was OK to bring in clients and pay $100 a week once he found out I wasfrom 7th Street Gym he refused to let me bring my clientele the man destroyed my livelihood I have conversations with two other trainers that didn't belong to that gym that his front desk man said come on down I will be seeking an attorney and attempting to sue for discrimination I would not recommend this gym to anybody this is been the worst experience of my life I tried talking to the owner many times he just kept saying it's my gym I don't have to explain myself he's got the worst attitude in the world and I will take care of this situation The man has no heart read more

This is the best kept secret in Central Phoenix... Can't rave enough about the staff, the amenities and the overall atmosphere. The facility stays immaculate the patrons take great care of the re-racking plus wiping down the machines. Kills the purple Planet in all facets! Join and you will not be disappointed! read more

Tangible fitness is such a great gym with a great community of people that work out there. Everyone is so welcoming, the equipment is great quality, and everything is always clean. Everything is great about your gym! The variation of classes and equipment cover almost everything that I was looking for, and the atmosphere is fabulous. Its friendly, clean, and conveniently located. I have never liked gyms, but something is different about Tangible, and it feels like it has "Studio" qualities that I love! The owner, staff and clients are very friendly and accommodating. There is no contract, and the cost is very economical without compromising quality and variety. Why do other gyms have to make it so hard? Tangible was super easy. Signed up in the middle of the night for a free trial. Showed up early the next morning, got a 5-minute tour and a card - no pressure, no waiting, no nonsense. Joined after a week (once again, in the middle of the night) - no nonsense, annual contract (just month-to-month), so easy. Great gym. Great staff. Great location. I just don't understand why LA Fitness, etc. make it so hard - that's the reason they're not getting my money. read more

A smaller more friendly gym..I love that they remember my name when I walk in the door (I've only been a member for 2 weeks!!). All the equipment I need and a huge selection of free weights. Nice area for classes. (I have not taken one yet so cannot comment on those.) Clean, open space and not overly busy (at the time I go anyway). I feel at "home" here and don't feel like I'm being watched and judged. (I'm a 58 year old female who's just trying to stay in as best shape as she can). I used to belong to one of the "other" bigger name gyms and never felt comfortable going so subsequently didn't go !! Oh and no contracts, no initiation and cancel any time !!
