We love Tang's! My boyfriend orders takeout occasionally and frequently when we're sick. Our go-to is the egg drop soup, and recently discovered the wonton soup. We normally get the same thing every time, however, my favorite are the egg rolls. They're fully packed and not so greasy. My boyfriend lives for the dumplings, they're nice and doughy. The portion sizes are great, feeds two people easily. We actually only order out, it is a little farther than we'd like. We learned about this restaurant through yelp I believe. We've never had a complaint about our orders or food, I definitely recommend. Will add pictures next time we order. read more

I looked forward to my food at Tangs but what I received was not what I expected. First the restaurant section is closed. My order from the outside was coated with cigarette smoke. When I opened the unlabeled cartons I had to guess what they where. One had a non descriptive pile of bland vegetables with a flavorless sauce the other was a little better, shrimp as limp as last weeks leftovers and the egg rolls were crispy and only filled with cabbage. All this for fifty dollars. Maybe I caught them on a bad day but I can't afford a meal like this on a good or bad day. read more

My true experience of this place, first and only time going here. I called Tang's Christmas day, right when they opened. I placed my order at 12:30pm for 5pm pickup to avoid any headaches. I arrived at 5pm. My order was still taped to their little checkout window on the left hand side. My $100+ order for my party had never been entered or made. I was given some lame excuse as to what happened and was asked to pay. Once I paid, I was told to wait. No discount, no sorry , no nothing. Just a "were behind and no eta for your food".... the customer service was absolutely horrible. I ended up getting my order at 5:45pm. Funny part is I was told to bring cash when I made the order! No joke, the lady on phone TOLD ME she wanted cash. The food was bad. Just like everyone else reviewed, the fried rice tasted brutal. The protein (chicken, beef, pork) is of poor quality. Very chewy texture with little to no flavor. It was also obvious my order was rushed and made on the fly. The biggest waste of over $100. I will not be going back here and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone after the horrible experience I had. I will never be going back! read more

I think for what it is currently, a Chinese take out place, it was 5 star. I say this for the following reasons. Order was taken accurately, and i got it within the time period stated on the phone. Not enough reason i know, so here's more. I ordered the Hunan beef that was supposed to be spicy hot. It was, although mildly so but thats ok. I suspect if I had wanted the heat adjusted they would have done so upon request. So about the food; big fresh veggies,the beef.. surprise, I didnt have to look for it! None of this looking for the beef and getting canned peas and carrots. It had Mushrooms broccoli, peppers, bamboo shoots etc all good and plentiful. I also enjoyed the veggies being cooked but not overly so. It was hot when i picked it up and just the right temperature when I sat at "home" to eat it. Someone in reviews commented it was expensive. Maybe? But the amount of food you get was worth it. My portion could have easily served 2and maybe even 3-4. I definitely would recommend and would go back when in the area. My only comment thats a bit negative is the fork they give you is so tiny it was hard to use it. read more

This is by far one of the worst experiences I've ever had ordering Chinese cuisine, literally. I ordered teriyaki beef on a stick, instead I was given a big container of beef slop that tasted like corn starch slurry. An order of Singapore style noodles that did not have any curry in it at all. It literally tasted like someone accidentally dumped liquid smoke flavoring into the pan instead of soy sauce and just dumped it into the container. An order of beef and broccoli that has no flavor at all. Again, just tastes like corn starch. The crab Rangoon was probably the only good thing. The woman on the phone asked me if I could pay cash instead of card. When I arrived, I was greeted by a secondary door with a hole in it to slide the money through and then waited for my food to come through a window to my left. This business screams sketchy. If you're someone who's okay with whatever slop a cook puts together, this is your kind of place. read more

I wish it was better but not even close. We've got a few different items so we have variety. I think the Wonton soup was the most edible option I ordered the Peking lemon chicken which turned out to be very tough to chew chicken in marmalade. Besides the super sweet taste, the chicken had no flavor. Not sure why call it lemon at all! The veggie fried rice had a peculiar flavor. The chicken chop suey was absolutely bland, one could taste the corn starch. I really just wanted to enjoy dinner and we couldn't! I called the restaurant and they offered to give me credit towards my next order but I am not going there again. read more

Give this place a shot and I'm glad we did! I'm pretty much a sesame chicken guy and I order it any time I'm trying a new place and this is seriously the best I've had! The chicken is great quality, the sauce is distinctly smoky from ones I've had in the past but makes it even better, and the brocolli is put under the chicken so they absorb all the wonderful flavor of the sauce! 10/10 coming back! Also my wife ordered the Chicken Kow and was also remarking on the quality of the chicken they are using here, tastes much fresher than the norm. read more

I really love this place. The customer service is so pleasing and endearing. The food is perfect. They cook it to order so I could get it without onions!!! The hot and sour soup is the best hot and sour soups I've ever had in my life. I believe it is truly healing. Food was ok, portions are insanely huge for some odd reason. I'm talking a 8" plate of rice that was 5" high. I got some General Tso Chicken and my plate was so full I couldn't even eat off it without knocking over the entire thing. It took almost an hour to get our food, even though there was only 1 other table besides us. Probably won't be coming back as I'm not from the area and wanted to try something new out. Only positive is the food was super hot off the kitchen, was steaming and couldn't even eat it for a minute after being served. Threw away the left overs because the food was so mediocre I couldn't imagine how it would taste reheated at home. 2/5 as I can get cheaper and faster Chinese elsewhere. From what I've found so far, this is one of the larger, sit down places for Chinese. They do both sit in and carry out, but what I like here is when you go with sit in, they do server you well and don't ignore you over carry-out like some other places may do. The overall decore is very basic, nothing like some of the places in China town, but better than most sit-in Chinese places in the area. The menu has all the typical type of foods you would expect so see. The appetizers and soups are really good, and I'm particular fond of the Crab Ragoon's at this place for they are a nice size and I like the filling. We've been here a number of times as a family and thus have ordered a good selection of foods from the menu. The kids are happy with their, non-spicey, sweet and sour type of meals. My wife enjoys the seafood selection. I like the spicy foods and they do a good job here. On several of the selections, such as the Garlic Beef/Pork, I do ask that they make it a bit more spicier which they do to my satisfaction. Although not the best, this is definitely one of our regular locations for Chinese food in this area. read more

The egg rolls are great. I had the Birds Nest. Great portion an loved the lobster in it. However it was very bland. I am not sure if that's hat it is supposed to be. It was fresh and hot. Great fries rice. I'll definitely try again and get something else, hopefully more flavorful. read more

Ordered potstickers, orange beef and a noodle dish with pork and shrimp. Potstickers ok, the best of all we ordered. Other two dishes were a gloppy mess, noodle dish flavorless and mushy and orange beef featured thin slabs of leathery meat in a sauce that was over-the-top sweet. Tangs has been around for 21 years, that is something. The kitchen has been on and off over the years. It is nicely remodeled with booths and one table has a lazy susan for large parties to share entrees. The take-out business is really flourishing. Yesterday our food experience was mixed. Egg rolls used to be awesome. The ones we had were exceptionally boring, much like frozen ones you can get at the Jewel and microwave at home. We got the Braised Shrimp and General Tao chicken. Shrimp was very good. Chicken was overcooked, tough. Large portions for both. It is a very nice environment to enjoy a meal, though a bit slow as the take-out business and time of day made things busy. Also an excellent MaiTai. read more

Absolutely terrible service. I ordered for delivery, only to receive the wrong order. I called. The woman who answered was nice enough, and she sent the delivery driver out with a new order. The new order arrived, and it was wrong. AGAIN. I called again. I was told that it would take an hour and a half to send a new replacement order. This was vacuously ridiculous. Now I have two entrees that I don't want and can't eat, and I am still without what I actually ordered. I won't be coming back here again. read more
