I found these guys on Yelp* after contacting another company that never called me back. I was looking to have my Noritz tankless water heater checked and serviced, as well as having isolation valves installed. I called on Wednesday afternoon and spoke to Phil, the owner, for about 15 minutes. He clearly knows this business and answered all my questions thoroughly. I made an appointment for service for Friday, May 5th. I was told they would be there between 10-11 am. Friday morning arrived, and was awoken by a call at 7 a.m. It was Phil's company, saying they would be early, around 8 a.m. Upon arrival, Phil and John set about checking diagnostic codes and the overall condition of my unit. I was pleased to learn that my heater is in good shape, and that a minimum of service and parts would be needed. I agreed to have the unit descaled and serviced, have isolation valves and a pressure relief valve, and an in-line filtration system installed. I was never pressured to purchase any parts or services that I didn't need. Phil was very honest, and John was very pleasant and patient during the install, answering my questions as I had them. The work was done around 11:30 or so, way ahead of the schedule I had set for my Friday. The work appears to be very professionally done, and now I have peace of mind knowing that my unit is good to go for many more years, given periodic maintenance. It should be noted the truck arrived with all parts on board; no need for another visit due to not having the correct items. I won't mention the other company that never called me back. I was prepared to spend about twice as much with the other guys...their loss! I will definitely call Tankless Solutions should the need arise in the future (I hope I don't need them)! I've used Phil's for many years now. About 5 years ago he rebuilt my failing tankless heater that came with the house I bought. It was just out of warranty by about a month and he got the manufacturer to cover it. Now, 5 years later, I decided to upgrade and called Phil again. He was able to come out a few days after I called, on a Saturday, and install a brand new heater that is awesome. I usually don't write reviews unless something really get my attention, sorry for the delay on this review. A few days before Christmas my Tankless water heat started flashing a failing signal. I contacted a few different repair companies and I received a call from Phil and Tankless Solutions within a few minutes. I explained the issue and Phil advised me that he was extremely busy and would not be able to do a service call for at least four or five days but he did offer to walk me through a trouble shooting fix via the phone. I initially called Phil to get a quote on a new tankless heater after another company had told me that my unit was on its' last legs. He told me the cost, but started asking me questions about my problem, and told me, based on my description of symptoms, that he doubted that I needed a new unit, and that the problem was elsewhere in my plumbing system. He suggested service instead, and when his technician inspected the unit, he said that it was in good condition for it's age and recommended not replacing it. I have a Bosch tankless water heater. I was getting some error codes and frequent shutdowns. I contacted a previous "certified repair" company that diagnosed what repairs I needed without ever opening the unit or turning it on. A week and a half later with no resolution, I contacted Phil with Tankless Solutions. Phil was gracious with his time over the phone and agreed to come out the next morning and service the unit. Found this company on Yelp after looking into many plumbers and trying to find one that knew a lot about tankless water heaters, and boy, am I glad I did! After calling for an appointment Phil promptly called me back and asked me a lot of questions about my issue with the heater. He had me send him pics of unit which I thought was very proactive and already I felt I'd found a good one! He fixed the problem by increasing the gas pressure and also fixed pilot light. As he worked he explained every step and what and why he was doing it. I had done quite a lot of research on tankless prior to his visit so, I could tell he knew what he was doing. I recently used Philip to install a water filtration system for my home. I also had an issue with my tankless water heater which he fixed. He had to replace the circulation pump and flow meter. Excellent experience!! Our Takagi tankless water heater stopped producing hot water out of the blue midday. I called a number of plumbers who, surprisingly, did not service tankless water heaters. So, I was able to find Tankless Solutions through the Takagi website and gave Phil a call in the morning. He was knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He had a technician coincidentally also named Phil come out to my house before noon. Phil let me know in advance his ETA and was prompt. When he arrived he was extremely professional and equally knowledgeable about the unit and all the components even walking me through all his trouble shooting procedures. If you've seen the inside of one of these tanks, you will have no idea what you are looking at so I appreciated this. It was an older Takagi model so I was bracing myself for the worst. Phil was able to discover the issue within 15 minutes and offered a reasonable solution to get us up and running again without replacing the entire unit. The other guys while okay didn't stand by their work; basically they wanted more money for every visit even if their initial attempts didn't solve all of the issues. Earlier this week our Noritz tankless hot water failed after 7 years. I called the plumber who installed it for service and found that ownership had changed. The new guys sent out a plumber who evaluated our unit and told us it was shot and had to be replaced: $4500. Ouch. Then i found Phil. Even though it was after 5PM he took the time to ask all the right questions and promised that we would have hot water, one way or another, by the end of the next day. The tech he sent arrived late morning and had all the parts he needed on the truck. He determined that the heat exchanger had corroded and leaked water on some of the electronics. After determining that the parts were still under warranty, he replaced the heat exchanger and the one electronic component that had failed. Total repair charge: $600.
