I used to enjoy these, but the most recent one I attended was disappointing. I'd estimate over half the booths weren't selling guns or firearm accessories, but roofing services, landscaping, essential oils etc. The main reason I went was to look for a range bag, possibly a new pistol, and to check out some good holster options. I love gun shows and I really enjoyed this one. The venue was fantastic and just perfect for hosting a gun show. The admission price was only 15 dollars which was completely reasonable. The security is solid but not rude and overbearing. No loaded guns in the show really reduces the risk of an accidental discharge and I agree with the policy. The show was clean, well organized and even had a snack shop that sold basic burgers, hot dogs and nachos. Every single type of firearm was represented and I bought myself a new handgun I've had my eyes on for a few years. I enjoyed shopping through so many booths the covered everting from guns and ammo to soaps and honey. There really is something for everyone at these shows. Since I moved from NJ, I've been to the Tanner Gun Show 4 times in 4 years, and every time is better than the last. Baffles me how people can leave shitty reviews for a gun show, but they do! LOVE The Tanner Gun show!! Some tried and true vendors are regulars with sage advice and unique products. New vendors are fun to check out. The variety is nice and not just geared toward men or hunters. From honey to jerky, Moutain Man snacks, and ​​concessions- yum. Our go to is the hotdogs and nachos. EDIT: just spoke with the so-called owner of this show. He refuses to accommodate service dogs at all. He says that he can't figure out how to accommodate service dogs because it's too busy in his shows. He is completely violating the Americans Disability Act and the only thing he wants to accommodate is private connections. The value of this show according to my best friend that told me how epic it would be, has gone down horrifically. The value of this show is the worst that I've ever seen. They are worse than walmart when it comes to allowing pets and allowing them to lunge and attack people EDIT: My Best Friend told me how awesome this gun show was for protecting handlers from assault and interference as well as keeping pets out. I spoke with her tonight. She's pissed and is highly considering never going back. TOO many pets/dogs in a place that says "NO DOGS" online as well as when you get in the doors! Extreme interference with a service dog trying to task on his handler by patrons. Hoping the next experience will be better. We will see, and I will update the review then. read more

It's a gun show, right and the vendors are packing , but us as legal concealed carriers aren't allowed to carry our guns in a gun show. But you know all the gang bangers are concealed carrying. And if you're going to hire a security company, maybe get some that aren't so rude that you turn around and walk out... Won't be going again to another Tanner gun show. The Tanner Gun Show is one of Colorado's 1st gun shows to return since the Covid pandemic had started, and it looks like it was what gun enthusiasts needed just as things are starting to open up more. Every single square inch was being utilized with vendor space. This show seemed more packed than any other show I've been to and I attend lots of cons , shows , fairs , concerts and festivals. I was so happy to see small businesses and vendors to be able to sell out completely of some of their inventory. Bought tickets online , printed them out just to be safe. Free parking at the Arapahoe county fair grounds. Some paved, some disabled parking and some dirt lot parking. Small but quick line to get in. Got a stamp on the hand to return another day. (Went 2 days of the 3) there were 3 show buildings connected and there were lots of people visiting. If you bring your firearms, they must be unloaded. You will need to check them with security prior to entering , and they let you wear your firearm or carry. Bringing your firearm comes in handy for example , because I needed to get help with a custom chest holster because my handgun has a sight on it and won't fit standard holsters. The show has all sorts of booths from firearms, ammo, knives, to different things like flag poles , arts and crafts , snack vendors, and even drawings as in artist renderings. I recommend looking at EVERYTHING Compare prices for sure. Paying $66 bucks for 2 boxes of ammo should have happened , instead of $190 for my impulse buy. (Dummy me did that ) Big 1st timer mistake. But no matter , my particular needed ammo is very hard to come by right now. They have the booths for your backgrounds before you buy any firearms there and I recommend bring lots of cash because the ATM was all out. Some Vendors take cards as well. I've been attending Tanner Gun Shows for awhile now. I'm always impressed with the large selection of guns, ammo and accessories. The vendors are also very knowledgeable and willing to help you find what you're looking for even it means sending you to a competing vendor. The layout of vendor tables is easy to navigate and I appreciate that the $15 admission price allows you to come back all weekend if you don't get to see everything the first day you attend the show. I'm a huge fan of guns and gun shows; there is always something to do and guns to dream about and eventually buy! I know people say it is going downhill but I don't see that, it's still a great show. I'd give it five stars but my husband recently heard one of the vendors here sold a fully automatic rifle to a red-flagged individual (Chad York) for cash! I am all for gun ownership, the second amendment, and the government staying out of our business... but selling a fully automatic weapon to a red-flagged individual.. and then for cash to keep the transaction hidden? It's disappointing that such a patriotic gun show would allow this to happen. read more

My takeaways from my first attendance at the Tanner Gun Show: 1) Bring cash! Many vendors will either offer you a discount or don't even have card readers. There is an ATM near the entrance, but why pay a fee; just bring cold hard cash. 2) There's a LOT more than just guns and gun accessories. There are all sorts of antique memorabilia dealers, folks peddling Broncos gear, axes, and more. I even picked up a really cute ring for a decent price. 3) It gets crowded! This is one event I would probably leave the kids home for. 4) The National Anthem will most likely play at some given point during your visit - and you can be not a single person takes a knee here. Ha! 5) The parking lot sucks! You never know what you're going to find. As a vendor, I can say comfortably, they are very family oriented. The staff is friendly and the vendors are helpful! The national anthem being sang is one of the most beautiful things to experience. DO NOT BUY FROM Hidow !! They will accuse you of stealing !!!! I bought a product from them and was basically forced into buying it and pressured. I did make sure I would be able to return it for money back, and he said it would be totally fine. I ended up changing my mind and tried to return it the next day. And he met me in the parking lot coincidently. He said that I stole a device from his table and I should just get back in my car and leave. or else he was going to get the police involved. I asked what he was talking about and he had no proof to even say it was me. He was stoned and smelt like weed both days. It was a scared tacit so that I wouldn't be able to return it and get my money back. after talking to the owner of Tanner Gun Show, he made sure I got my money back after all because he knew this guy Was an asshole thinking I stole. The keener was so good to me! So the gun show was good, but the Hidow vendor is very sketchy and NOT GOOD! Well, I'm adding a gun show. Despite the fact that it's a event, it's nearly ever month and it's pretty well organized. I haven't been to a gun show or in the market for a gun in nearly 20 years. So I thought what the hell, let's go look for a pistol. I have a vague idea of what I want and I was sure I'd see it at a gun show. So I packed up the kid and brought him with me. Parking at the Denver Mart is ridiculous. There were several events going on so I followed a sign that said "More Gun Show Parking". That lot ended up to be in butt fuck Egypt. Probably the farthest point possible, and across the street. I didn't realize how far it was because there isn't a lot of signage telling you which entrance the show is in. Once I walked in I was instantly awed by the shear size and crowd. It felt like a huge swap-meet mated with a day after Christmas sale. Did I mention I have an aversion to crowds? Cass (a fellow yelper I went with) had told me it's busier on Saturdays, but since I didn't have a reference point to consider. I had thought... I've been to a lot of conventions and shows, it couldn't be as busy as a Hong Kong convention. WRONG. The place was wall to wall people. *Sigh* Since I didn't really have my purchasing idea 100% and I was in more of a research and purchase mood, I found it difficult to really consider anything. Ok... I admit it was a little intimidating. The last time I was at a gun show it wasn't like this, but I also knew the exact gun and model I wanted. If you really know your guns and accessories. This place would be kick ass for you. There are dozens and dozens of vendors, guns, knives, collectibles (lots), books and parts. My knowledge of guns isn't enough to appreciate much of what a saw. I think if I knew the exact gun I wanted (however obscure), I could have found it. I went to my first (and last) Tanner Gun Show today in 5+ years. While I am a highly-compensated professional now in my 40's, my first memories are attending the Tanner Gun Shows with my father multiple when I was growing up (we usually ended up buying something!). Parking was a nightmare at the Merchandise Mart and it was raining cats and dogs today. Upon arriving, and without even thinking about it, I snapped a quick photo of some non-firearm merchandise with my iPhone to text to my wife to see which one she wanted. Before I knew it, I was literally accosted by several merchants and a show security person telling me that I could not take photos (really?). While I am a HUGE supporter of both 2nd (and 1st!) Amendment rights, it was not so much WHAT they were saying as HOW (rudely) they said it. In their defense, when I left, there was 1 single small sign above the entrance (which I obviously did not see) which said "No Photographs" (although I have no idea "WHY" this would be...). The lady at the table said that if the merchant next to her saw me taking an iPhone photo, that he would have "jumped over the table and grabbed me by the neck" (and I would have had him charged with assault). With an attitude like that, why would I spend my money at such a place? My frustration is that there was really no explanation for this policy, and it was not communicated very well (including the super rude people who made it their personal mission to tell me what I was doing wrong within 5 minutes of showing up). The net effect, is that I left (with my unspent cash in my pocket) and will not be back. The merchant who yelled at me lost a $500 sale I was getting ready to buy, and the other show unfortunate sellers at the Tanner Gun Show lost the other purchases I specifically went there to buy (3 firearms). While I certainly respect the rights of the show promoter to set whatever policies they see fit, I am disappointed in how poorly this was communicated and how it was handled, both by the vendor and the show security staff. The sad lesson I learned is that I will choose to patronize online merchants and my local gun store, rather than the exhibitors at the Tanner Gun Show. read more

The Tanner Gun Show is an awesome show. With the wide variety of vendors, you can find about anything you need. The knowledge the vendors have on their products will help you purchase the perfect item that you are wanting. Not only will you find a large variety of vendors; as you walk around It is a very welcoming atmosphere. One of the most amazing sites is when the national anthem is sang, everyone in the building stops, removes their hats, faces the flag. You are just in awe to see that much movement and noise just stop as soon as she starts singing. The other great thing about the Tanner Gun Show is the security. The show was actually held in the Pavilion part of the Merchandise Mart, which of course was on the exact opposite side of complex from where I parked. I cannot believe the amount of stuff that was in this place, it's the kind of place you have to go to with a budget and you need to be looking for only one or two specific things lest you get carried away. I wish they had a map of different vendors or something at the front, but I guess that would just make too much sense and take all the fun out of wandering aimlessly for hours upon hours. I can understand why they don't though, it seems like most of the vendors here were selling more then one kind of thing, i.e. guns, knives and ammo all on one table. Anyways, I'd say that variety of products was pretty well represented, and I even got a chance to sign a petition while I was there so that was kind of nice. I found what I was looking for, and was really glad that I had brought my UNLOADED guns with me when I was looking for accessories. It kind of sucked that it took nearly an hour to do a transfer on one of the items I purchased, but I don't think was the fault of the person processing it, mostly the system they had to do it through. Despite the fact that the place was packed with stuff and people, everyone that I dealt with or even walked passed was very nice and polite (of course that could have been because I was one of the few women in the building). Someone got arrested while trying to buy a handgun with a warrant out. HAHA! What an idiot. That made it worth the trip right there! Anyway, the show was not bad. I found there to be a much better selection and better deals on accessories than actualy weapons. I've only been to a few gun shows, however I'm used to finding better prices and vendors offering better deals than normal in hopes that they get the volume to make it worth it. That wasn't the case at least this time. But there was a ton there! I was looking at hand-guns, taurus, baretta, springfield xd etc. middle to lower end stuff. Couldn't find a single price that wasn't thier normal price for that shop/vendor. However, that being said it was nice to see them all in the same place and get instant comparisons. Most of the vendors were very willing and ready to answer questions etc. And perhaps if I tried harder, I might have been able to talk a price or two down. The price to get in is steep especially if you're not the only one. If you are going to just save money on a single item, I wouldn't suggest it cause the price to get in will make it not worth it. But if you want to decide between a lot of stuff and see / talk to a lot of vendors, then it's totally worth it. read more

Very, very crowded. Yes, I know that current events are driving gun (and ammo and extended clip) sales. However, the event seemed poorly organized. In my opinion, they admitted so many people that they had to be pushing the boundaries of fire codes. It was extremely difficult to move through the narrow aisles. This was all the thrills of a crowded mall right before Xmas, with none of the festivities. Prices at many of the tables did not seem especially good. I am aware that certain items have doubled or even tripled in price over the last couple months. However, the quality on many of the items for the price being asked was suspect. The only items that seemed reasonably priced were ammunition. The $8 entry fee ($7 with online coupon) seems like gouging for such a mediocre experience. read more

Gun shows to me are for dealers to liquidate and for the consumer to save and get a good deal. I have better luck directly at stores. Items are over priced, I know they want to haggle but when you are 50% over current going prices , I'm not wasting my time. Collector items are also excessively over priced and limited these days. Most vendors are nice but some come off to cocky. Been to show maybe 10 times and so far only bought 2 guns. If you have a show and charge $10 to get in, have reasonable prices. Was my first gun show and was disappointed. Lots of used stuff selling for high prices. Re-manufactured ammo, not a lot of new factory ammo. The best part for me was seeing what the other tables had (like knives), and also handling firearms before buying them online for a better deal. Save yourself $12 dollars per person. read more

I used to go to the Tanner show quite often when a 1-day pass was available for $8 or so, but have never had the need to go both days so the $12 pass is of no benefit to me. Also, it's $12 just to walk in the door - Would you pay $12 to go to a mall like Park Meadows just so you can walk around and have the "privilege" of spending money on overpriced items? They used to have some discount coupons, but it looks like those are no longer offered. Also, as previous posters have noted: parking is difficult, aisles are crowded, and from my last trip the stuff was mostly AR's and lots of old memorabilia.
