I suddenly had a toothache and tooth sensitivity while my usual dentist was on vacation. I called Dr. Vlacancich's office and they gave me an appointment as soon as possible. I was also able to complete my paperwork online, making my arrival at the office a simple matter of making a copy of my insurance card. The office staff were welcoming and friendly, and I felt like I had been seeing Dr. Vlacancich for years. Dr. V was extremely thorough with my exam, carefully explained everything she was doing, and I was even able to get a cleaning done as well. Dr. Vlacancich and her staff are extremely kind-hearted and they ensure you are comfortable every step of the way. There was not a single bit of pain. I will definitely be returning. I called this local dentist to see if they can see me within the next day or two as my tooth was hurting and I needed to see someone right away and my dentist is too far. Well, the lady answered and was pretty rude from the get go. I explained the situation and she said you have to fill out an intake form and we wouldn't be able to see you for at least 2-3 weeks. No sorry , no let me see if I can help you since it's an emergency , nothing. Just plain can't help you and don't care to help you and goodbye! I was shocked especially after reading all these 5 star reviews. I honestly wouldn't wanna deal with this attitude no matter how good of a dentist they are. I just recently started seeing Dr. Vlancancich for all dental work I need done (I hadn't been to the dentist in years and was referred by a friend to set up an appointment with her) From the first minute I stepped in to the office, I was greeted by a sweet woman at the front desk who helped me set everything up for my first appointment. When I finally met Dr. Vlancancich I was completely blown away by how sweet, gentle, kind, and patient she is! She completely eased any fears I had with going to the dentist and the rest of her staff are so nice! When you sit in her chair she continuously checks on you to make sure you're alright and comfortable. She has amazing bedside manner. My experience thus far has been incredible! Dr. Vlacancich was my dentist many years ago. Unfortunately because I've had changes in employment and thus changes in insurance I was forced to seek dental care elsewhere. A few days ago, because I was due for my annual dental check up, I decided to check if I could go back to see her. And I was in luck. I called and was pleasantly greeted the oh so friendly voice of her mom who handles appointments etc. she was able to get me an appointment to see the Dr. in 2 days! When I arrived to my appointment today I was greeted with such warmth by the receptionist aka mom. You wouldn't know I hadn't been here in about 8 or so years. This is the coziest practice of any kind I've been to. I had to wait a little while since the hygienist unfortunately wasn't in so it required the Dr. to fill in where her hygienist would have. When the Dr. finished with the patient she was with and came to the reception area, she also greeted me with a big smile, and a warm Heeey honey how are you? I thought omg I really missed this place. It was like going to see family. Me having to wait, was a blessing in disguise since the Dr. herself did my cleaning and I'm soooo happy because it's the best cleaning if ever had. Period... Dr. Tanya spent the next hour or so inquiring about me and my health (basically catching up, while she treated me) and even recommended a doctor who I'll be seeing next week. The Dr.'s assistant took great X-rays of my teeth, all while ensuring that I was comfortable and apologetic about the slight discomfort one would experience when getting X-rays of their teeth. She is such a doll. I also had a filling done today. The anesthesia was administered extremely well. I didn't feel a thing during my cleaning and the filling. This practice is amazing! I like that I don't feel rushed when I visit. I know the Dr. is genuinely concerned not only about my oral/dental treatment but my complete health. I think it's worth mentioning that I had my only dental implant done by this Dr. and her team in 2009. You will never go wrong by visiting this dental practice. Everyone here is delightful. If you're afraid of the dentist don't be. Let Dr. Tanya and her team take care of your smile. After all you only have one smile, so make sure it's a beautiful one with a nice set of teeth. My aunt referred me to Dr.Tanya and right off the bat she was the nicest most professional warm-hearted dentist i had ever been too. She makes you feel safe and in good hands, weighs out all your options and explains everything out thoroughly. It feels so great to have a dentist I can finally trust. She performed an extraction and I felt absolutely no pain, and I was awake the whole time! I was so happy with her handling and care for me that I gave her 2 hugs lol. I've had a few dentists in my life and Dr. Vlacancich is truly second to none. It's really hard to find a great, knowledgeable dentist you can trust but she is the one! I discovered her when I first moved to College Point and even though I live in Jersey City now and work in Brooklyn, I still make the trip to see her because I know there's no one better. I've been seeing her since I moved to Queens in 2011. The entire staff is super friendly and helpful. The office also offers ClearCorrect, which is an option I'm considering for my teeth. I have been a patient of Dr. Tanya's for about 15 years. I am a nervous dental patient but from the first visit she made me feel comfortable. She is kind, caring, patient and a great dentist. She always stops to ask how I am doing and tells you what she is doing during the procedure. Dr. Tanya's staff is also the best around. I was biking the other night and i flipped hitting my mouth onto the concrete. I lost a tooth and chipped 2 others. I really had to get at least one fixed asap and luckily my sister knows Dr. Tanya and she recommended that i go see her. It was so nice of her to accommodate and squeez me in her busy schedule. She did a root canal that was supposed to be done in three different sessions in one day. She was very thorough with everything and my new tooth looks like it has always been there. All the staff are super nice and all in all it was one of my best experience going into a dentist office. read more

I brought my eight year old son to see Dr. Vlacancich for an emergency visit. He had fallen and cracked his two front (adult) teeth. He was horrified and as a mother, I was beside myself. Dr. Vlacancich reassured my son and myself that everything would be fine. She talked him through the whole procedure and asked him if he was ok. His teeth came out looking perfect! He actually smiles a lot more now! I always have been terrified of dentist. Last year I had a broken, badly infected tooth that caused excruciating pain. I took a chance and called Dr. Tanya the very first time. She and her staff immediately made me comfortable, was sympathetic to my fears and extracted the tooth without any pain! Since than Dr. Tanya had done fillings, crowns for me each time painlessly. What trully sets her aside from other dentists is her genuine care to perform all these unpleasant tasks by making the patients comfortable, feeling them home, as being surrendered by friends instead of by a feared "dentist".
