Food Chicken Fried Rice Roast Pork with Vegetables
    Maria S.

I visited Taos restaurant a couple of days ago and this is my review. The food was pretty good I got the soup with the chicken and the rice it was really good and dumplings I also got that I would say the dumplings you should not get them because they were a little dry but if you had some soy sauce a little better. The service was pretty good the man came and served us right away he was very nice. The ambience was like very homey and like felt very nice it felt like I was at home eating Chinese I would say..... The only reason why it gets three stars is because I feel like Chinese food just like needs like a proper vibe to it and like if I don't have that proper vibe I cannot enjoy the Chinese food like I can before when I go to my favorite Chinese place it's called. thank you for reading my review have a good day go to toaos restaurant

Best Chinese food I have had in the Hudson Valley hands down. Everything was delicious and fresh. If you miss the classic sit down meal at Chinese restaurants this is the spot for you. Staff were friendly and had great recommendations. Will be back for sure

Great food very authentic. Host was fantastic and very engaging. Tried several appetizers which were delicious. The dinning room is large and super clean. Menu has lots of traditional dishes to choose from. Nice to be able to sit and have a meal that's not in a take out setting. Look forward to going back.

This place used to be John's Harvest restaurant that had been a local restaurant for decades. I heard from a friend that they liked this new place so I decided to try them out. There is a separate entrance for to go and one for dine in. The menu is a little different from your typical Chinese food place. I ordered steamed dumplings and pumpkin pancakes. The dumplings were tiny and flavorless and the pancakes were burnt. I am reluctant to give a poor review since they are a new business I think and I would like to give them another shot before possibly editing this review. However, I would suggest trying this place out if you are a true Chinese foodie. Maybe the other items on their vast menu are prepared better.

We were passing by and stopped by. Overall it is good -- the food was tasty and served pretty fast, hit the spot right. The service is not too bad, just a bit different. We were eating while the waitress got into a pretty heated discussion with a customer. While she came to talk to us, she seemed very sweet and helpful.

There are not a lot of really good Chinese restaurants in this area. For us, Middletown is a 45 minute drive but when we're in this direction, we love to visit Tao's. Large menu, with sometimes amusing English (I especially like the Cooked Wheaten Food category--noodles and dumplings). The "All-Day Lunch Specials" include soup and rice and are the best deal but if you want authentic and exotic items, you can work your way through the rest of the menu. And I know a lot of reviews complain about the owner's rudeness. She is brusque and non-nonsense but we have never experienced rudeness and she gives us whatever we ask for. Maybe she has softened, as most of the recent reviews have not cited rudeness.

Was craving some authentic Chinese food while driving around Middletown, and found Tao's through a quick Yelp search. The restaurant is easy to miss when driving on the main road because it doesn't look like your typical Chinese restaurant. I stopped in at 1130am on a Monday, and Tao's was completely empty. I was immediately greeted by a friendly woman who I believe was the owner, who handed me the cleanest and nicest feeling menu. If you go, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about!! The menu had SO many great selections. I was excited and surprised to see that they offered a winter melon and pork belly soup (so uncommon to find this in restaurants, especially up in Orange County), so I knew I needed to order it! Both the winter melon and pork belly were both sliced thin; and the flavor of the soup was very good. For my meal, I ordered the sliced fish in chili oil - it was so unbelievably good!! The fish was nicely marinated and the texture of it was just perfect. The chili oil sauce LOOKS extremely spicy because it's super red, but it really wasn't too spicy or overbearing - just the right amount of heat for me. The portions of both the soup and the fish were large and can be split between two people. I'm so excited to have found this place and would highly recommend this place to anyone. Can't wait to go again!

My…read moreopinions live and die by the staff, and it's with that in mind that I want to dedicate this review almost entirely to Kasey, who was our incredible server. From the moment we stepped inside Kpot, Kasey went above and beyond with service; she was so very kind and accommodating. Without prompting, she immediately created a space for me to keep my wheelchair safe and accessible without it being in the way at our table, which is always something I have to worry about myself when I go anywhere. I have dietary restrictions and she was very enthusiastic and willing to swap out the BBQ trays multiple times as needed. I never once felt like it was a bother. It was my loved one's birthday, and when we told Kasey, she completely understood the assignment. She made sure that we were having a wonderful time, was ninja-like in making sure our unused dishes were out of the way, she made wonderful, positive conversation that helped make our entire table feel welcomed + relaxed like we were old friends, and she had the most excellent timing with bringing out a surprise birthday treat at the end of our visit! I have never felt like a staff member at any place of business, no matter how wonderful they were otherwise, was as sincerely invested in making our experience unforgettable as Kasey was. at Kpot. Kpot is incredibly fortunate to have found such a warm, bright human being to work there. We went on a Saturday, and when any of us ever return in the future, we will absolutely be sure to come on Saturday again in hopes of having Kasey as our host again! The food itself was very good, and the value cannot be understated. It's a great bang-for-your-buck! Once you pay for the hotpot/bbq, you also have access to a variety of food by the sauce bar. (I specifically got some chicken wings and French fries and dipped them in the delicious chili sauce!) Every one at my table had very positive reviews of their food (which were, of course, only bolstered by their raving about Kasey! Seriously, I cannot overstate how this review is glowing because of her, haha! We all agreed that we will be coming back again, in a large part due to the service; KPot has found itself four loyal customers because of her. ) The food being brought to the table was also very timely. There were no delays and everything came right out, fresh from the kitchen. Absolutely nothing tasted bad or off. The atmosphere inside of the restaurant is pretty conducive to feeling social and open, yet perfectly private for your party. It feels like a really good spot to catch up with friends you haven't seen in a while, or to celebrate special occasions with a small group. I do also wanna mention how convenient it was to get food. They give you an iPad with names and pictures of all the food items. It is extremely easy and intuitive to use, and it's probably the best means of ordering food I've had at a buffet-style place. Very hygienic and timely! I truly cannot overstate how the excellent service made our experience as amazing as it was. The food is great and Kpot itself is, of course, quite nice, but the service elevated it into the position of being my FIRST choice when it comes to dining out with multiple people again. I wholeheartedly recommend dining here, if not for the insane value you get in terms of food, then absolutely for the excellent service -- be sure to come on a Saturday so that you're more likely to have such a wonderful, warm and professional person providing your service! Endless thanks, again, to Kasey. You made this experience what it was, and as someone who does not get to see my loved ones for occasions like this often, it means the world to me that we had such incredible service from someone that made everything feel special. I am so glad that we chose here as our birthday dinner spot.

The selection was impressive, with thinly sliced beef, pork, seafood, vegetables, noodles, and a variety of sides to customize each bite. The meats were fresh and tender, cooking quickly on the grill. The hot pot broth was rich and comforting, especially when loaded with vegetables, noodles, and your favorite proteins that you can choose from! One of the highlights was being able to switch between grilling and hot pot throughout the meal. The endless options kept things exciting, and every combination tasted different. The seafood was fresh, the vegetables crisp, and the noodles soaked up all the delicious broth flavors. (You add $5 if you want both) For drinks, I got Piña Colada and tried their bubble tea as well, Matt got Coconut mojito. (The server heard Coke and Mojito she immediately change it and apologized) The thing I don't like and could possibly improve is their appetizer, sauce and salad area. Sauce were good but apps only has few selection, like chicken nuggets, fries, etc. and looks like it has been sitting there. Nuggets were rubbery. Ambiance was okay, not that much people when we came in around 5. Place seems nice as well. But other than that it was a delicious feast from start to finish, with plenty of variety and something for everyone. Come hungry because you'll definitely leave full and happy! :)

If you check out my posts, we love Korean BBQ. Unfortunately, the meats were all under seasoned. The pork belly was really bland, I tired dipping into the sauces but even that couldn't enhance the taste. My son loves egg soufflé and if you see the picture, this does not compare to the egg soufflés we've been to. Unfortunately, even the kids had a literal bad taste in their mouth. The cooking area was small and the heat not strong enough that after cooking the first 6 half strips of thinly sliced pork belly, we had to wait 7 minutes for the next batch to cook. Yeah, the place does look very deserted but picks up after 7-7:30 pm. Reading other reviews, I'm glad that some people find the place great but for Korean style BBQ and meat flavor, they totally missed the mark. You can definitely improve a lot on this.

Honestly it was refreshing to get good service that felt real. So the beef Ttukbaegi bulgogi, I thoroughly enjoyed, a lot of beef and well flavored and not an overkill of veggies. But would loved some more mushrooms though. The sauce/stew itself was really good, I keep drink it and pouring over my rice. I found the rice okay, but definitely jasmine over hard boiled rice preferred. I liked side salad and wish I had more, it had a-bit of spiced edge and was better than the typical ginger dressing you get. The bubble tea was perfect, not overly sweet and generous on the size of it, but definitely would do better in another glass since straw could not reach the boba pops well enough. another note, always appreciate a place that gives you large glass to refill your water.

Sizzling shrimp, first huge jumbo shrimp so very generous on portions, plus cooked just right and bathe completely in the sauce, plenty of diced onions and peppers and mildly spicy over all. Chicken in chili oil was my favorite, I mean a whole cut chicken fit in that container, both white and dark meat, was tender and moist, plus the chili oil was just right spicy level without being assertive. This place I find special considering it's more of authentic Chinese cuisine rather than the typical Americanized version, that alone is a big draw for this place.

Fast forward to now, I finally dipped back in. This time, at Super Bowl. Hubs and I didn't leave disappointed. First off, the seating here is actually comfortable. You can breathe, spread out and actually enjoy the meal. Bonus points: if you're not feeling the buffet marathon, they have an à la carte menu. But their buffet is the real showstopper: They don't skimp on meats and seafood. Plenty of options, cooked up different ways and the seafood is fresh. Salads, Rice & Veg: Yeah, they've got the "healthy section"- but honestly, as much I like salad, I wasn't here for lettuce. There's even a Hot Pot Station that looked fun. I hope they have veg broth. Maybe next time? The bottom line is this- Super Bowl nails its clean, has a good spread, the prices are solid and service is on point. Plates are cleared fast, drinks topped up without that awkward flagging someone down. And, you walk out full and satisfied. This is definitely a level up from the run-of-the-mill AYCEs and nice to see Super B. up in these neck of the woods.

We've been ordering from here for years, and I can't believe that I've never done a review! We have never had a bad item off their large menu yet. The place is clean, I like the atmosphere, and everybody is friendly. One thing that we have not done from here, is the hot pot, (the "Super Bowl" in the name,) where you cook your own food, tableside, In a bowl of hot broth that they provide you. I've done that before at other restaurants, and it is a lot of fun. I hear that it is extremely good, here. . They do delivery through most of the delivery platforms, but you are going to pay a higher amount than if you ordered from them directly. And not only the delivery fee, either. The menu prices are higher if you go through one of the delivery platforms. If you are going to be ordering food to pick up, the best way to do it is directly through their webpage. That way you don't have to pay a premium... Tonight, I ordered from their large "all day special" menu. An egg roll, your choice of soup, your choice of rice, and your choice of entrée from their large list, all for only $14.95, plus tax. That's an amazing price! Tonight, I ordered the chicken curry with egg drop soup and fried rice. It's amazing that I got so much food for such a small price. The eggroll was large and delicious, and the soup was excellent. Not too oily, not too greasy. The rice was just the right texture, and the chicken curry was amazing! The chicken was tender, and the veggies were not over or underdone. Also, I could definitely taste the curry. It was just a little bit spicy, but not too much. Just enough that I knew the spice was there. After the egg roll and the soup, I barely made it halfway through my main course. The rest ended up as my midnight snack. We will continue to order from here. Thank you! UPDATE: The food was so good last night, I ordered from the "special menu again, for the next two nights in a row. The first night, .I had the shrimp and veggies with brown rice, and wonton soup. There was a one dollar "upcharge" for the wonton soup, but that was no big deal at all, because it was chock full of large tender wontons, with a delicious filling. There was a good amount of decent sized. Tender, shrimp, and again, the veggies were done just right. The rice was good as usual. I didn't mention it last night, but there was a tiny taste of cinnamon to the eggroll. I didn't mind it at all, because that comes from the "five spice" that they use. The five spice really adds to the flavor. Once again, half of the meal is going to be my midnight snack. The second night, pretty much the exact same excellent experience. I had the wonton soup again, and this time I had the "Thailand chicken" with fried rice. I was worried about the name, but there was not a "spicy" symbol next to it on the menu, so I asked. She said it was not spicy. Once again, the chicken and veggies were excellent. It had a very good sauce. I can't really describe it, because I can't recognize the flavors, but it was very good. As for spice? Again, there was just a tiny bit of spice, just enough that I knewthat it was there. As is a bad habit of mine,, I tore into it so fast, I forgot to get a picture. Thanks again for the great food!!
