My father-in-law loves to take us here for dinner and the wait staff is very friendly and accommodating as my father-in-law can be a bit demanding at times. Nothing more than a glorified and (highly) overpriced pizza parlor. And not even a great one at that. Food below par, veal piccata way to vinegary, granted has capers but shouldn't taste like I'm drinking from the jar. The chicken Parm had a burned under taste. This is our go to restaurant for Italian. Its BYOB which I love. The food is truly outstanding. Last night i had the Risotto Christian, beef tips, shrimp, asparagus, with all the flavors. The risotto was cooked to perfection. My fiance had the cowboy steak. It came in a delicious wine gravy with thinly sliced vegetables. We ordered the buffalo mazarello tower as an appetizer. Its slices of mozzarella and tomato wrapped in prosciutto with drzzled balsamic glaze. The bread is always warm and crispy served with roasted red peppers and onions. For dessert we split the limoncello cake. Every bite had a wonderful crisp lemon flavor. This place continues to rate 5 stars. Fantastic food and excellent wait staff! read more

Taormina's scores big in each category. They deliver fresh bread and roasted peppers to your table the minute you take your seat. And they refill it as many times as you please. Gourmet pizza is a specialty and their veggie pie with zucchini and eggplant didn't disappoint. Great sauce. Fresh cheese. And the bready crust was delicious. They also have a small but excellent selection of homemade pastas. We tried the cavatelli. One bowl with vodka sauce and one with marinara sauce. Both were great. The fettuccine is also homemade. Make sure to ask for the homemade pasta -- save the stuff from the box for home. They are also a BYOB joint, so score big points for affordable drinks. We walked away with fully bellies at a reasonable price. A final word of advice. Get there early and/or make reservations. We arrived a exactly 6:00pm on a Saturday and we were seated immediately. I have now tried this restaurant several times. Since it is either the 2nd or 3rd location of a family owned and operated business it has all of the makings to be a high quality home style Italian cuisine that is conveniently located in a residential area. While they have some of the best pizza in the immediate area the entrees and other menu options are sub par based on pricing. They price average pasta recipes like a high end restaurant and if you add in a tiny salad or a small side it gets very pricy. I dropped $79 dollars on a family of 5 during the hurricane including 2 kids meals, 2 sandwiches, and one Chix Parm entree. The Italian hoagie was very good, the Chix Parm was good but the homemade sauce lacked flavor. Kids meals were your average fare found in all restaurants. Atmosphere = speakers on the ceiling but no music playing. Lights too bright over patrons for nighttime. Restroom was clean. Service = average... Forgot salad, we did get sat quickly. She was friendly and did a good job on drink refills. I will order pizza for takeout but I'm lacking enthusiasm to try the dining room again. With some atmosphere adjustments, drop the menu prices to match quality it could be a decent place but they have some work to do.... read more

We had a party of 4, no reservations, 9pm on a Saturday night...we were seated immediately and our server came over to our table right away. She was very friendly and attentive throughout our visit. (Ali, i think) They served warm delicious bread with red peppers while we browsed the menu....food came out in a reasonable amount of time and it was great! We had the vodka rigatoni, pasta taormina, chicken franchaise and past primivera... everyone really enjoyed their meal! (You do have to pay extra for soup or salad though) We also shared a tiramisu for dessert, and it was delicious! The dining room is not huge but it is decorated nicely and there is a comfortable amount of space between tables. Overall it was a great dinner in a cute unassuming place with great service! My girlfriend and I are hoping to move to the area within the next year or so. Ergo we've been trying LOTS of the local restaurant options out for size to see what fits us best. Literally heard about the place simply by googling "pizza near xxxx" and Taormina's was one of the better rated pizza places within 10 minutes of Hatboro. Overall the atmosphere was nice, albeit a touch loud as well as feeling a bit elbow to elbow with other patrons. However neither noise nor space was a crazy issue for me personally. The wait staff was very quick to seat us, very friendly and our appetizer hit the table in what felt like a minute after ordering it. After that initial burst of service it felt as though we were checked on every 10-12 minutes or so, which did feel a little lacking. It was a Friday during what I'd think are prime time hours however, so totally understandable. The food now! I mean for an appetizer we only ordered a plate of fries, which I mentioned came out in a flash. We love fries... And these fries really did not disappoint whatsoever. We were also pleasantly surprised that a basket of fresh warm sesame seed bread made it's way to the table as well. Very appreciated. Aside from that we only ordered a large plain pizza, which both my girlfriend and I really enjoyed. My girlfriend really enjoys hot sauce, on most anything.. She asked for a side of sauce to go with her pizza and claimed it was very different, but in a good way. The last time I ate here was about 4 or 5 years ago. Ordering today, I remembered why. The food was ordered at 4:55pm through a food delivery app. It's currently 7:10pm and still no food. We live, at most, 15 minutes away! We called and were told the food would be delivered, "in 10 minutes," and that was 40 minutes ago. When we called, we were also informed they, "couldn't find the order,". If that's the food delivery app issue, so be it. However, don't then inform the patron the food will be delivered in 10 minutes. With the virus going around and self quarantine, we are trying to be respectful and understanding. A 2 hour wait for some mediocre pasta and a basic pizza pie is disappointing. If you are not hungry and don't mind the 2 hour wait, order here. Absolutely *will not* order from here again. read more

Easily the best place in this area. Being a BYOB is the icing on the cake. Being Italian, and from South Philly, I'm pretty hard to impress when it comes to Italian food. This place has become our go-to spot for our weekly date nights as well as whenever we want to entertain friends over dinner. The service is very good - we've only had a problem once with getting our bread... But for the most part, service has never disappointed us. Atmosphere is nice, the lighting could be a little more intimate for evening dining, but it's not bad enough to ruin the experience. Prices are reasonable... Not cheap but definitely not expensive. We were there between 9-10PM on a Friday night while visiting someone from Ann's Choice. There were several large parties in the restaurant and it was a bit noisy. We heard that same comment about the noise from other people who were from the area. We ordered the Ravioli special and the Veal Sorrentino (veal, eggplant and cheese with a marinara sauce. Complementary bread was very good but could have used some olive oil instead of butter. Both entrees were tasty and filling but I did not think the sauces were anything special. They could have used more garlic and perhaps some more oregano. We are from the west coast and did not remember that many PA restaurants are BYOB so we drank water. We had returned from 3 days in Rome and 2 weeks in Sicily about a month before and in comparison, the food was a letdown for a much higher price with no wine. I was here for a party recently and thought the restaurant was okay. Dinners do not come with soup or salad. The pasta dish I had was meh. I thought the pasta and the brocoli rabe was overcooked and mushy and the food was not served hot. On the flip side my fellow companions did not have any complaints. For several years we've ordered from the Richboro location for takeout. It's expensive, but the portions were large enough to share and the family really enjoyed a couple of key dishes so we indulge regularly. But after trying for 30 minutes to get a call through to the Richboro location I decided to try Ivyland. I was assured everything would be the same. It wasn't. The pasta dish we get was not the same but the biggest disappointment was that the portions were significantly smaller! Prices were the same though - high! Will not return. read more

I've been to Taormina's twice. The first time the food was out of this world. However, the second time I ate here, I ended up with a lap full of hot pasta! I didn't make a big deal out of it because, hey, accident's happen. I told the runner not to worry about it, and I cleaned up my lap, and the manager brought my husband another side of spaghetti (since it was his pasta that the food runner spilled into my lap). I was kind of surprised, though, that our bill, which was not cheap, was not discounted at all. And while I didn't expect them to comp our entire meal, and I did think they'd at least comp my meal or maybe part of my meal or maybe just give us a discount or...something! So that was disappointing and is the reason why I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5. read more

This place was excellent but make sure you bring your own wine :) We went there first for dinner, about 10 of us and the food was excellent as was the service. A few days later we needed to put together a reception and decided to have Taormina's cater it. The food was excellent, they made suggestions on the amounts we needed, arrived at the location on time, did the set up and they were just great to work with.
