While traveling home from Glacier National Park, we spent a night in Missoula. Looking for a good dinner spot that wasn't pizza. Found Tap Club on Yelp (always our go-to place to start). Server was very friendly. Quickly seated, although it was a Monday night so they weren't very busy. We decided to split the Pulled Pork Nachos. That was a very good decision. Both from the choice and from splitting. They are an appetizer but could be a main for four people! Excellent all around. It was nice to try this new place. The menu is pretty good with some nice options. We had the queso blanco which was quite yummy. Love the way it is served in a warming pan. Queso is so much better when it is warm. The pork tacos were ok, but while it was nice to have a lot good serving of meat, all the topping is a bit of a mess and you end up with eating pretty much just the meat and a tortilla. The chicken with avocado sandwich had a similar issue. Great bun and a decent price of chicken, but just a few slices of avocado and a couple of pickles with barely any greens means you're mostly eating chicken. Their fries were great!! Tater tots so-so. Would be nice to have an option of a side salad. Service was not friendly, but it was efficient. They have some great beer choices. All said, we'll definitely go back and give this place another try. read more

Tap Club just opened, and we were curious. The menu looks VERY interesting, so we decided to run in for a beer and appetizer. The beer selection is great. We both opted for Sam Adam's Oktoberfest. Very tasty, but SA rarely disappoints. For our appetizer, we chose the pulled pork taquitos! Excellent! I'd highly recommend them! Everything we saw come from the kitchen looked great. The water is absolutely disgusting, like has anybody tried their water lately? Something is very wrong.

The menu sounds amazing but they have a hard time pulling it off. Food is just okay but not worth writing home about. The burgers are a decent size and if you can get them to cook it the way you like, M.R. then they are the bright spot on an otherwise so so menu. As for the beer, nothing is more irritating than walking into a brewpub and seeing 20+ taps and then seeing that there is maybe one beer on the whole dam list that you would drink. Boring dam beer list. To top it off the beers are crazy expensive, over $7 a beer, and it does not get any better during happy hour. They still charge $5. What a joke. We won't be back. We were there over a month ago, on the way home last night, Saturday, they were closed at around 10:30 pm. How can a bar/pub be closed on a weekend night so dam early? read more

Let me start with the positives. The beer selection is great, and the menu items are creative and fun. The staff is super nice and attentive! But boy, does the food not live up to expectation. The tap room tacos were subpar at best, completely lacking in flavor. The presentation was nice, which just made the first bite more disappointing. $18 for three small tacos. Camping in Missoula and stopped here for Happy Hour sat at the bar as it was slow that night. Great selection of beers on tap and full bar. Justin the bartender was friendly and helped with selections. We decided to come back on Friday to have dinner and what a great experience, Bodie our waiter was again helpful with selections of drinks and the food was so good. As we were getting ready to leave the guests at the table next to us had ordered Tacos that looked amazing and they said they were great. May have to go back and have them. read more

The food is very, very average. I mean, it's on par with a lot of the other mediocre restaurants in Missoula, but that's not saying much. It's also way overpriced for what you get, but again, that's on par with the abysmal culinary scene Missoula Montana provides. Service was also extremely questionable. Food took quite a bit of time to come out, even though the restaurant was pretty much dead. Whatever, again, this whole place is just forgettable food wise. That's that. Based solely on food, this place is at like a 2.5 star level. Edible, but really not worth going to at all. However, what drags this rating all the way down to the bottom is the awful, awful exterior and interior design decisions. I mean seriously... neon yellow? Who in their right mind decided on that? Don't get me wrong, Missoula is full of questionable architectural decisions, but this one just baffles me. Nobody in their right mind coulda seen this, and thought it looked good. Place is just an eye sore. I'd bet a decent amount of money that this restaurant won't be a thing anymore in 5 or so years. Visited today....i had the country ribs and my husband had a burger. The ribs were very tender and the roasted veggies were delicious. It also came with a slice of toasted focaccia bread. My husband had the truffle Parmesan fries with his burger. He said his burger was cooked just right, had a delicious bun too! It was a little pricey but delicious! We were really hungry and I liked that the size of the portions were just right & we didn't have to take anything home. Shelly was our server & she did a great job and was very attentive. It's a new place and different from anywhere else in town. It's a sports bar but it wasn't too loud. We will definitely be back!! read more

Wife and I had dinner after a movie. It was following a U of M football game. Service started a bit slow, it was crowded. I didn't think the atmosphere was great but... the food was amazing! Best garlic Parmesan fries I ever had, burger was cooked a perfect medium rare. I actually was so impressed I walked into kitchen to tell chefs. I get it, it's a hamburger. But it was really good. The menu is extensive with a Tex-Mex/BBQ flair. Plenty of beers on tap but I'd like to see more straight up IPA's rather that the fruity, hazies that, unfortunately, seem to be all the rage. I only had a beer because I thought the food prices were much higher than I expected, hence the three stars. This is Missoula, not Aspen. The overall thought is it was just ok. There were 7 of us and even though we agreed the food was tasty, we also agreed it was just warm at best. The beer and wine was cold and was up to standards. Our waitress wasn't the most informative. When asked about the wine she replied " I don't know, I don't drink wine." The atmosphere was ok and the decor and nice. I thought the keg lights were a nice touch for a tap house. I understand it's a new place and kinks will be worked out so I will try it again. This place is awesome! Huge servings and the quality of food is top notch, cooked perfectly and delicious! I had a burger that was one of the best ever. My wife had the crispy chicken sandwich and it was just as good as the burger. Next time we will share the chicken sandwich. It was huge. Plenty for two. Also the buns are made here and delicious.
