They offer dine-in, takeout, and delivery, but I opted for takeout because the inside was cramped and packed with people waiting for their orders. Tapioca wraps? Very interesting spot that specializes in gluten free Brazilian goodies. I went with one of the simpler items, tomato and mozzarella tapioca wrap. I feel like this item needed some hot sauce or some kind of sauce as it was lacking flavor. The girlfriend got the lean steak wrap. This came nestled in between an egg wrap but it has pesto sauce in it, I am just not a fan of pesto but again nothing wrong with this item and I do like that it is different from the typical bagel sandwiches and other breakfast foods that I often get bored of. Was super hungry after work and this place was recommended by a friend so swung by to try for dinner. The folks at the register were friendly and helpful. Appreciated them being patient as we took some time to decide what to get. We got two separate acai bowls and a chicken club to share. Didn't realize acai bowls originated from Brazil but makes sense cause they were good! I also really liked the chicken club which had great flavors. The location we visited is quite small with three little tables so finding a seat may be difficult on the time of day. I've been on the hunt for a Brazilian cafe, and I have found it! Got pao de queijo 3 different flavors for $7! On a promotion (normally 2 for $7 but the lady gave me one for free!). I was very pleased. I went home and reheated the pao; texture was substantial and taste is cheesy. I brought my boyfriend here again after the gym one day to get the pao but he pointed out the tapioca wrap, and that was unique so we had to try it. Got the steak tapioca wrap and salmon egg wrap. Both very good. We recently were in NYC for a trip. Our son had eaten at Tap during an earlier trip and suggested we try it. We tried the bacon, egg and cheese wrap, the smoked salmon wrap and the tomato & mozzarella wrap. We went back a day later, yes the food was that good, and had the smoked salmon and bacon egg and cheese on cheese bread. Again it was very good/excellent. I will add that the staff at Tap was wonderful. My wife has food allergies and has to be careful about spices and seasonings. The staff worked with her to insure the food fit into her dietary limits. The granola was so great and it accompanied the açaí and strawberries so well. It's been an hour since I ate and my stomach feels light but full, and I am grateful for that feeling. To be honest, I kept passing right by this place because I thought it was just another açaí bowl shop, but a seamless scroll deep dive led me to gander at their menu and I'm so glad I decided to give them a try. I love how almost everything was naturally gluten-free, as they used cassava flour for most items. We tried their traditional pao de queijo, samba acai bowl, and tapioca flour sandwich. I had only tried pao de queijo one other time and just thought it was OK. The one at the Tap, however, was delicious! If you've never tried this before, it is basically a gluten free cheese bread made from cassava. I loved the contrast of the chewy interior and the crisp exterior. They sell one for $3.25 or two for $6. They also sell these in frozen packs so you can make them at home. I wish I would've ordered more of these! The samba acai bowl had mango, granola, and passion fruit. I loved the combo of mango and passion fruit. Granola was very delicious as well. However, the price was a little steep for an acai bowl ($14) and I didn't feel that the quantity nor the ingredients justified the price. Lastly, we tried the chicken club on the tapioca sandwich. The tapioca sandwich was interesting and was almost like a large quesadilla. I enjoyed the concept but thought that the flavors were lacking and felt like it needed a sauce to help bring everything together. Midtown location does not have a bathroom but has a couple of small tables for seating. I would definitely go back for some more pao de queijos! read more
