So disappointed in Tap Room tonight. I've been many times and wanted to use my gift card I bought on Black Friday before my bonus cards expired. But alas we were never seated. We walked in and it was packed, fair, it is a Saturday evening. But I went on the waitlist before driving over (I live 5 minutes away) and it said no wait so I guessed it just wasn't busy. I was wrong. So when we finally made our way up to the host stand, we were told "maybe an hour, maybe more." So I mention the wait list and he says "we don't use it and we don't have control over it." It's on THEIR website. I didn't make it up. He was quite rude if I'm being honest. Oh and we still gave them our name and number and still have not been texted about our table being ready. It's currently 7:53pm and we got on their wait list at 6:14. He had no intention of ever seating us. Go early, call for a reservation they likely won't take, and don't buy a time-sensitive giftcard. read more

We have been coming to the Tap Room for about a year and prefer the Massapequa location. It can get loud if there's a game on so we usually request seating in the back. I love the light and ambiance in the back room. We've literally never had a bad meal or experience here. It's one of our favorite date night spots. I love the craft beer selection. I usually get the steak salad but I've also tried the chicken pot pie and sometimes have a burger. Tonight I tried the traditional wings. Sooo good. We also love the mozzarella sticks or big pretzel. My husband always gets the whiskey burger. I love that we can go out and have a fun date night at a local business for less than $70. read more

Tap Room is a very chill local bar good for a drink, also good for a family dinner. The place is pretty spacious and well-furnished and the waitors are nice. Highly recommend the birria sliders. They were absolutely delicious and so flavorful. The menu is full of other unique options that set this bar apart from some competitors Definitely recommend coming down for a trivia night. The restaurant was clean as well I overheard one of the waitresses speaking with a woman waiting for her friends and she was extremely kind and attentive to her making sure she was good while she was waiting. The cauliflower could have been cook for maybe 1-2 more minutes. The slaw on that was good. The sauce was excellent. It came with 2 tacos and some salsa and tortillas. The tortillas were ok. The problem was the bottom of the tacos were very soggy and needed to be eaten with a fork. The quesadilla was just ok, my friend said. We went on Columbus Day. When we arrived, there was no one else seated. Our server took quite some time to take our order, serve it, and provide the bill to us. That was rough. Absolutely awful place. The HVAC unit above us was leaking. It was like it was raining above us. We had to be asked to be moved. Instead of them, not seating people. They just decided to sit people there. They served us water with no glasses. They served us appetizers with no plates. The tables were sticky. The hamburger we ordered was absolute nonsense. If you can zoom in on the order receipt you'll see that I ordered a mushroom burger with Brussels sprouts and a whiskey burger with Brussels sprouts. When I got home I opened the bag and I have a burger wrap with French fries and a cheese burger with French fries. Why isn't there someone in the back checking orders before they are brought up front ? When I called the restaurant they asked me what I want them to do, either refund the money or make a new order. I asked them to do both and was told they can't do both. Seriously? This is terrible customer service. This is not the first time this has happened. When I asked if they could have it delivered I was told no. So I took the refund but in all honesty they should have offered me both. When we order wings I always order them dry with sauce on the side. I then pay for the extra sauce and extra blue cheese and I never get the extras. It's only a dollar or two but that's not the point. If I order a dozen wings I am most likely sharing them with someone and that is why the extra sauce and blue cheese is order. Sadly, I have to write this review to warm others about my awful experience at The Tap Room. It was my first time at this location. I was there is week and had the Hummus platter and only had water. Unfortunately, I got Very Bad Food Poisoning and was very sick that night after I got home. I was vomiting and I felt weak the next day. I Will Never Ever Return to this restaurant. Taproom is our go to place but lately it's been a complete disaster, first it took about 30 minutes for someone to come over and take our order and there was somebody training, which is OK I get it, so we decided to place everything all at once but asked not to have everything come out at once, so we ordered two different types of boneless wings, which were so cold and so dry that we almost sent them back but then realized it would probably take forever to get fresh ones. The entrée took about 30 minutes to come out (after they sent us initially the wrong one), but that was very good. The quality was excellent, so no complaints there at all, now I know it's Saint Patty's weekend and the place is completely jammed, but then have more people there to help. There was only one waitress with her trainee and then somebody showed up a little later.. lately this has been happening more and more, time to think about going somewhere else. Extremely disappointed with how disrespectful the hostess treated us. We have been at this location a few times but last night was likely the last time for us. We were a group of 5 looking for drinks and dinner and were told that it would take 10-15 minutes for a table to be ready. After 45 minutes they still haven't seated us, at that point we decided to leave. On the way out I told the hostess, a blond blue eyes girl, that it was not cool to keep us waiting for this long and not being honest about it. Despite being nice I got nothing but an attitude by telling us there were nothing she could do. I was expecting some level of sympathy and an apology.
