My family and I have dined here multiple times and are never disappointed. The new menu is outstanding and the attention to detail from our server and the manager is 10/10. Remembering us, drinks not staying empty for more than a minute, being generous and welcoming from the start. Great music and vibe always. I forgot his name but the manager I believe is 10/10. He will make this place go very very far with his speed, attention to detail and catering to customers individual needs without being promoted to

The White Whale Has Long been a staple to those of us who've lived in Seaford for 50+ years. Of course, it started off as another name but the White Whale Is well known on the Southshore. It's recently had a transformation and new ownership bringing a new vibe, specialty drinks, and an array of seafood and comfy foods. The bar is large and well stocked with a great Mixology on the premise... We had Jenny as our waitress who was amazing. We had specialty cocktails prior to Ordering appetizers, soups, and finally dinner. There was no room for dessert, but they had plenty on the menu.! We were not rushed and the restaurant did fill up and had bar activity. We will definitely be back and are glad to see this place, reclaimed and providing beverages and meals to the local community.! #Seaford #WhiteWhale #Community #Memories #ShopLocal #SupportLocal #Seafood #SpecialtyDrinks

How is the food? Can i get broiled fish? Is there parking?

The food is fantastic and it's in good portions. You can park around back or on the street, just make sure you check the signs and park in the right places. I'm not sure about the broiled fish but I am positive that no matter what you eat you will…

Anyway, we're glad we got in here for an early bird dinner with our three kiddos (and no wait either!) I have to say the wurst platter and jagerschnitzel entrees were both solid, and we added in a tasty bowl of flavorful French onion soup, huge Bavarian pretzel and a couple of potato pancakes to the mix. Service and ambiance was cozy and friendly, and they were nicely decorated for Christmas too. Even though we only went once, thank you for being a staple in our community for 40+ years!

Food and service did not disappoint and the restaurant was well-decorated for Christmas too :) Yes, meals are a bit on the pricier side but portions are generous and (as someone who LOVES German food), I have to say the jagerschnitzel and sauerbraten were spot on! We started off with the obligatory Bavarian pretzel, which is cooked to order and easy to share around for a family of four. We also ordered a bowl of their onion soup which had a surprisingly flavorful broth and was delicious down to the very last scoop. It was a nice departure from some variants where once you pierce through the top cheese layer, you're eating boring beef broth. I wish the family well (believe they're retiring and trying to sell the business) and maybe keep my fingers crossed new owners will keep up the German cuisine!

Prost! Best Spot all year round for: catching a local band, watching sports on a giant screen…read more(tented), celebrating Oktoberfest, and more. This place is the things you'd want in an outdoor Beer garden - casual eats in the Brat Haus and beers on tap. Not to mention the in-house private event space that does have air conditioning. Perfect for parties of 20-700! Says it on the website and I wouldn't have believed it until I saw it myself. This review is for The Hive restaurant specifically since that's where I had my meal. A beautiful bar with a Stein wall with lockers for patrons who wish to store them - you see that just past the host station. The indoor dining room just beyond. We started with the Wurst Sampler Platter. Think bratwurst, knackwurst, krainerwurst, and jalapeno cheddar bratwurst. I had no idea there were so many varieties and it was paired with the best potato salad I've ever had. Authentic and delicious sauerkraut to match. Also ordered the House-Cured Slab bacon, paired with a blackberry gastrique. Excellent choices I must say. For dinner, we just had to try the Schnitzel. Admittingly, it was hard to decide (all were veal options and there was one chicken option)! I chose the Champignon Rahmschnitzel and hubby got the Jager Schnitzel. Both were topped with sauce and mushrooms - but entirely different. The Rahmschitzel was breaded veal and had a white creamy mushroom sauce. So delicious! And the Jager one was pan-seared veal with a demi-glace sauce. Outstanding as expected...I was literally drooling at every plate that passed me by. Topped my meal with some hard cider and I was golden. Stuffed and happy! Plattduetsche Park is so rich in history and they have established roots in the community going back 100+ years (established in 1901). What a fantastic place to be - come for the great cuisine and the culture. No special occasion needed. (Reservations suggested for The Hive restaurant - opens daily starting at 3PM). BTW, the Ompahfest (festival) is on Sept. 20th, 2026. Zum Wohl!

We were shoulder to shoulder to each other. I had to straddle a table leg because of the way the table was set up. I could not get my chair under the table. There was barely any room for our plates and glasses. Even though it was a Mother's Day event, there was not a kids' menu- which makes no sense bc you know kids will be at this event! Two of our dishes had to be sent back because they were cold. It's nice that they hire the local kids and the service was good. Overall, just a bad experience. I do not think we will come back for a special holiday again.

I had a group dinner here for my parents and my boyfriend's mother to meet for the first time. This is perhaps not the perfect location for this type of thing, as it was extremely loud in the restaurant. Despite being very busy, the hostess made sure we had a comfortable table to sit at and were not too cramped. As expected, the beer selection is great and I enjoyed my Berliner Weisse very much. I ordered the goulash and kasespaetzle. The goulash was rich, well seasoned and filling. The spaetzle was soft and creamy, covered in lots of flavorful aged cheese with salty bacon bits and sweet onion. A very rich dish. Although I didn't technically order an entree, I still found myself pleasantly full at the end of the meal. The rest of my dining companions ordered either the schnitzel or the wurstplatte. All seemed very pleased with their food, and some even had leftovers to bring home due to large portions. This restaurant is certainly a fun spot to come, reservations recommended. There's a reason they've been open for so long.

A quick look from the outside, we'll, it looks like some kind of place where they keep really historic things and serious beers. Also outside are these big blue awnings, not trying to be all fancy, probably for weddings where locals use a side I've never been. The inside has got this big old wood bar and a few tired ceiling fans above. It looks like the kind of place where old and young, guys and gals go to eat, drink and make merry. The Queens Chronicle has a picture posted inside '100 years of good cheer,' it says. So I ordered all this German grub and our it came all at once, all laid out looking absolutely delicious. Just look at the giant pretzel. It's sitting there with some wonderful yellow cheese dip, and the platters of sausages, potato pancakes, and sauerkraut, it's all so heavy and seriously yummy. They've even got a bunch of beer bottles lined up under these little blue lights, like they're trying to match the blue awnings, I loved the look myself, i love anything that reminds me of Christmas. The dessert with the massive meringue on top of a brownie.
