It's funny some of their patrons have never seen a black person up close before. But hey they didn't start anything so there wasn't anything. Let's continue, the service was amazing I was treated like any other patron there which is always a plus. I ordered the surf and turf burrito and carne asada fries as well as their surf and turf fries and hell why not a carne asada burrito. Ok, on to the food. The chipotle sauce was flavorful but there was just not enough of it on the surf and turf burrito. Also it seemed like a flavor was missing from the food itself. My carne asada fries was missing something from them as well as the fries being undercooked. Would this be a place where I'll return? sure mom and pop places always need second chances. Maybe this was a off day, maybe their best chef wasn't there. It could be anything but I'll give the a shot much later on this year.

Our meal was packed full and piping hot even after driving 20 minutes. You could smell the spices from the aroma of the chicken, and it had really great flavor. The meat itself was juicy and tender with the skin holding tons of flavor from the seasoning. Our order lasted two meals, which is a steal for how much it costs! Not to mention their fast and friendly service! We will definitely be back again for their chicken and are all excited to try some other items on their menu next time as well.

The chips and salsa were ok, it was definitely more of a tomato like soupy salsa and not a chunky salsa so it depends on what you like. I'd prefer a different salsa but it's ok because I still ate way too much of it! My mom and I got the steak and shrimp fajitas one with flour tortillas and one with corn tortillas. The fajitas came out sizzling hot but the rice and beans were lukewarm warm. They also forgot our shrimp portion of the fajitas so we asked and she said she didn't hear us but out the order in. What we got was shrimp scampi shrimp and not fire grilled shrimp which does not go with the flavors of the fajitas. I'd rather wait longer to get what I wanted than a fix quick that doesn't work with the meal. The waitress was super kind though and I want to make that known.

I ordered some Carne Asada fries to see if their meat was worth the hype. It was, I loved my meal! The carne was perfectly crispy and cooked, no fat detected. My only issue was the overload of onion, but that's an easy fix for the next visit. Tacos Los Palomos is very reminiscent of traditional Mexican restaurants. They're making big waves with their Oaxacan dishes and flavor. From the tiniest ingredients, from cheese and beyond, everything is top-notch. Note, possibly due to the cost of these ingredients, the menu is mildly pricey. It was $64 for three people with three meals and three drinks. Thankfully, they have deals everyday like torta discounts on Sundays. Service was solid, the girl at the register was fun. The ambiance was pretty mellow. Sometimes they had soccer games playing or music, other moments they had moments of quiet. I loved the big faux tree in the middle of the restaurant, it's like a "themed cafe"!
