We'd just arrived to Maui and to the Kapalua area where our hotel was and we were hungry. We jumped on Yelp to help us find a place close by. This spot seemed to have great reviews so we thought we'd try it. I haven't eaten a lot at food trucks mostly because every time I go looking for a food truck it's not where it says it is, but I digress except to say this food truck wasn't where the Yelp map takes you so it took a few minutes to find. (It's on the hill opposite to where the Yelp directions put it.) She was close to closing so was only offering what she had on the chalkboard menu which was a bummer as some of the other options looked good, and I always like to try more than one thing to give a review. I got the fish taco and my husband got the shrimp taco. They were ok. Service was friendly, she answered all our questions, gave us everything we needed to eat in the car as it was too hot to sit on the lone bench in front of the food truck. So no loss of points there. Your only choices for drinks were either Pepsi or Orange Crush in a can. Not a big deal, but still. The tacos were a decent size. The shrimp were large and overfilled the tortilla. Hubby said it was good. My fish was seasoned well on the outside but kind of dry and flavorless on the inside. All of the toppings were very fresh and had great flavor. But, both my husband and I couldn't eat the taco like a taco as the flour tortilla fell apart pretty quickly from the juicy toppings. Kind of messy when having to eat in the car. So we ate most of the taco with a fork and had a leftover soggy tortilla. Maybe a corn tortilla would have been a better way to go? And, in the end we were still kinda hungry. Would I go back? Maybe. Not sure if it was because it was the end of the day and it was close to closing. We're in town for a few more days so we'll see. Wish I could give 3.5 stars because the service was good, the flavors were there, but the execution not so much. read more

SERIOUSLY good EATS, we leave tomorrow and I will be going back in the AM for breakfast. I had the pork and the shrimp taco, I couldn't tell you what I liked better because they were both DELICIOUS! Seasoning, toppings, ratio to toppings, tortilla, Salsa.... EVERYTHING was top notch. My mom is pescatarian and she got a shrimp and a veggie and loved both as well! The owner GINA had really good energy and was super friendly. A great little view from the top of that hill, and we just really enjoyed the whole experience and vibe. -we stopped at the grocery store and brought our own Margs, which added to our experience I suggest you do the same! Relocated to a spot opposite the Napili shops/Napili farmers market since the fire in Lahaina. They are up on the rise, easy to spot from the traffic lights. They are still serving amazing tacos from their taco cart, with the same friendly service. Choose your own or go for one of their recommended. I chose potato, egg and pepper/onion mix with chipotle sauce. It was served piping hot and was a decent size for a single taco for $5.50. Delicious! Hubbs ate the same but with sausage. You can get coffee here too. If you are in the Napili area make sure you stop for a taco from this great little breakfast spot. They were impacted by the fire and we want to support them as much as possible so they stay in our community :) read more

Fantastic tacos right near Lahaina and Napili Bay. Owner is from Austin, Texas (iykyk) and absolutely nails it. Ate too fast to get a picture of the amazing Migas taco but I ate here 3 times in a week because it's so good. Tacos are huge and the jalapeño salsa is wonderfully flavorful. Owner can be a bit feisty in the afternoon hours but it's just the passion for the tacos showing through and they are well worth it! read more

Some of my favorite breakfast tacos I have ever had. Made fresh per order, with fresh homemade salsa that will blow you away. The three alarm and migos tacos are both incredible- so flavorful and the perfect way to start your day. Because they're made fresh, the wait can take some time- I recommend texting (yes texting) your order ahead of time to the owner/chef so you aren't waiting there too long. I go almost every morning when in Maui, it's that good. It operates out of a truck conveniently located off the road in a pull out area with a delicious açaí truck as well. The man working was very helpful and really nice. He told us before we ordered that the tacos were big and he was not lying. They were stuffed! Great portions for the price and the flavor of each was unreal. We tried the pork, shrimp, and fish and loved them all. There's a small picnic table to sit at which was enough for us. This truck caught my eye, while I was waiting for my acai bowl. The only other one open in the lot in the morning. Can I give this place 100 stars?! My new wife and I were on our honeymoon on Maui recently and by chance, we found this awesome little food truck at the top of a hill. So damn cute! We checked out reviews and they did not fail us. There is not a huge menu but the items that are on there are unbelievable. We actually went back twice! We would have been there every day but weather had other ideas. Doesn't matter if you want the best breakfast tacos ever or a shrimp taco in the afternoon, anything from this taco truck will make your soul happy. And it's not just the cute truck, the yummy food and a great location, the gentleman and his sister who run the truck are some of the nicest people ever. They care and you can tell.
