Glad they've been around for 9 years now! Stopped in yesterday with a buddy and we both ordered three Quesabirria tacos, consumme sauce, and a pop each. It was just shy of $30 total. Luckily both of us were starving or else neither of us would have been able to eat the third taco. This is the only place that I know that offers them with the cheese underneath the meat to hold the shell from breaking hence the Quisa part of it. I was expecting a longer wait for the order to complete but I think it was like 10 minutes before they called our orders up. Glad they added more tables and was suprised on how clean the keep everything. Great service and perfect quality food for the price we paid. read more

This is a family ran business by a genuinely kind family. They take pride in their work and have never disappointed us with their food. It is kind of tucked away in the corner of a plaza but definitely worth finding and returning to on a regular basis. Lunch time can get rather busy so allow yourself ample time but definitely worth the wait. read more

There are only about 4 tables inside, it's a small place. Counter order herr Ordered chicken flauta dinner, one large chicken quesadilla, 1 grilled chicken taco and 2 mandarin Jarritos. $28.08. The flautas are packed with chicken and the shell is super crunchy and crispy. The beans were ok. The chicken quesadilla was good, nicely packed with chicken, cheese was ooey and gooey. This is by far the best Mexican food I've had in Detroit, closest to what I grew up with. The only thing they don't have is anything with "real" green chiles, from Hatch. That said, this is insider awesomeness paradise. The food is outstanding, served fast, and the place is zerod frills looks, like it came off a street in any town in Mexico. I just had the steak torta. The bread is nice and soft. Plenty of cheese and spicy jalapenos. This is a tiny little hole in the wall place. They have a few seats but most people were getting carry out. It's good for your work lunch break. They were super fast. You can also call ahead if you're super stressed for time. There menu was pretty basic which I consider a good thing. When place have too many things on the menu to me it tells me those dishes probably aren't homemade but rather frozen and heated up/fried on site. read more

Very fresh food. This is more of a carry out spot, but there are 4 small tables (enough for 3 people each) to eat if you choose to stay. Tacos were loaded with meat. My co-worker had a large quesadilla and it indeed, large! This is not the type of place where you sit for an hour and eat a pound of chips and salsa. And there is nothing wrong with it. Absolutely delicious! We order lunch from Taqueria Alma fairly often. The prices are a bit on the higher side for the area, but the food is fresh and well worth the wait. The staff isn't very helpful or patient so know what you want when it's your turn to order. They also have hot salsa you can get with your meal upon request. Try the charro beans. They are perfectly tender, savory and well seasoned. The whole menu is prepared from scratch and so good! The hard shell tacos are a bargain. Almost as cheap as a taco bell Supreme, but fresher and tastier with moist and fresh ground beef. The traditional tacos are always delicious, as are the quesadillas and anything else on the menu. This place is extremely slow. The menu is limited and no longer worth the unnecessary wait. We were 5 minutes away and placed an order for 5 tacos, which we were told would take 15 mins. We get there in 10 minutes yet wait over 10 minutes to be asked about our order, however, we were "greeted". And another 2 minutes for the food to be ready. 25+ for 5 tacos. As much money as this place clearly makes what I ultimately hope is that they are actually going to reinvest into their place of business because having pieces of paper hanging everywhere with "messages" written on them in marker isn't professional or becoming. Having candy and gum ball machines is ridiculous if the candy in it LOOKS old and disgusting. I don't know what the problem was because I'm never given a reason. Call me impatient, but two lunch plates shouldn't take 40 minutes to make. I'll repeat, the food IS very good. Quality tacos that do take longer than you might expect to make. They accept credit card, $5 minimum I believe. Tacos slightly more expensive than your typical Tacqueria, about $2-3 each.
