We ordered pancakes, refried beans, eggs, bacon, pork chop, and an omelette. Everything was absolutely delicious! Looking from the outside, this looks like a little hole in the wall restaurant. With my first visit I had ordered fried foods. Deep fried. Well the oil didn't taste right and I had tried the queso as well and it wasn't very flavorful. But then one day my boss(I work at the DG next door) ordered me a breakfast burrito. I liked it. She has ordered me a couple more since then. She had also got me the beef soup and oh boy was it good. As far as ambience goes it is nice inside. Nothing fancy just homey like. The service is friendly and they will hold small conversation with you. I am willing to go back and try it again. read more

Service with a smile, but food (breakfast burrito) just blau and dry... again and again. Either to much potatoes, hard cooked bacon, or little eggs. Also, they need to toss the terrible water and chili powder salsa and make a signature tomato based salsa that states they're authentic. This place is great...Got the Chorizo egg scramble and it tasted delicious!!! The beans were very tasty too, and it comes with tortillas on the side which ware great for cleaning up your plate! Only thing is the serving size seemed kind of small...They even have a drive-thru....Oh, and the service is super super fast ! I wanted some good Mexican food but wanted to get outside of Waco before stopping on my trip. This place fit the bill in several ways. I took my food to go and it was prepared perfectly. The rice was good, the beans were an unusual texture in that they were more runny, which is how I like mine (versus dried out and pasty). I had a crunchy beef taco and a chicken chimichanga. Working down the Hell that is I35 on a drizzly Sunday... all our Waco recommendations were closed... we stumbled into this place in a nondescript strip mall off the interstate in Lorena. I had a small Caldo de Res and an al Pastor Gordita. Both were excellent. House made flour. Tortillas were great as well. The pastor was red with crispies... I must, albeit rare. The corn masa was crispy and the refrito beans tasted like they were made with Lard... I thank the Lard! So a bit of salvation on our journey through hell. Took a star off because it's a dive. Prolly wouldn't take my wife there... but for a bunch of guys coming back from hunting... it was perfect. read more

Just driving down I-35 and looked for somewhere to eat that wasn't a national chain. This place is awesome. Had the Jalisco burrito with barbacoa. The meat was so tender and flavorful. We also had rice and beans which complimented the meal. As another reviewer said, the salsa is very good and was served with crisp fresh chips. Service was great as well. We were here in Bruceville for a baseball tournament and stopped here for breakfast. It is a small little spot (mom and pop place). The waitresses were super sweet. We ordered 3 egg and bacon tacos and 3 egg and sausage tacos. They are FRESH and DELICIOUS! If you eat inside you get chips and salsa here. If you order it to go they charge. Yep, that's weird. Every other Mexican restaurant on earth gives you chips and salsa. Second, their food is garbage. Today I bought a puddle of grease. After I ordered the server returned in 30 seconds with my food. This tells me it is premade and sitting around for Lord knows how long before they gave it to me. I am starving so I am eating it. However, every time I swallow I can tell it will only be in my body for about 20 minutes if you follow me. The one in Lorena is basically a carbon copy of the one in Hewitt which is a good thing. Jalisco's has the absolute best chips and salsa in waco.
