I want to start by saying the food is amazing. I was so happy they opened in la porte and I no longer had to drive to Baytown area for the great food. HOWEVER, the staff gossip about the people very badly. I listened to them argue with a customer that they charged them more than menu price because staff felt they ate too much food. They called the customer fat and complained the whole time fixing the receipt. (One of them looked at me shocked I was listening and then she goes oh nevermind you don't even speak spanish, but I do.) Meanwhile, the waiter admitted they messed up my food on purpose so that people would stop ordering it because it is too much work and people want to customize. (I asked for extra crema on the side and they drowned my burrito in crema) That alone was enough for me to never go back. While leaving a doordasher told me that they accused him of eating too much as well when the order wasnt even his. I never had this experience anywhere else. So yes, I will make the drive to Baytown because I dont know these peoples issues. read more

I ordered a Torta on drive thru, food was cold, I live 3 minutes away and I had to pop the torta in the microwave, was coming home after a long day at work and that ruined my dinner and did not want to call or much less drive over and explain and get a face of like it's my fault, I threw it away, Honestly who ever is preparing the orders needs more training, a food truck would of have a better torta, won't be going back nor recommending the place. This was our second visit. Carne guisada special was very good. My family enjoyed what they ordered from the menu as well. Service was very good too. House Margaritas need some work. Food is really good. But you can't read the menu, it's in Spanish. The English is very small under it. The staff is not very Friendly

I think I like this place, because their green sauce is awesome. It kicks your butt. But look at my meal. Do the enchiladas look dry? If you answered yes, you're totally right. The chef is heavy handed with the cheese and there's barely any red sauce. If I wanted dry,, I would've ordered fried tequilas, and I didn't. I love this place! It is right next door to Goodwill and Dollar Tree in La Porte and they have the friendliest waitresses and great daily specials. My husband and I like to meet for lunch when he's in the area (fair warning - this place becomes a total sausage fest around 12ish and is packed as hell). I love to get either the authentic Mexican tacos with cilantro and onion or the crispy tacos with extra cheese and fajita beef. My husband swears by the "big boy" burrito which is basically a burrito with fajita beef or chicken covered in cheese. It is DELICIOUS and super filling. Our drinks are always refilled and our waitresses are always so friendly and kind. They work their butts off and always have a smile on their faces. read more

Disappointed. We ordered quesadilla plates and two street tacos. I would've rather ordered Taco Bell. The meat literally tasted as if they boiled unseasoned fajita meat. The texture of the meat was rubbery and old. It felt like I was eating cartilage. I literally gagged trying to eat it because I was so hungry. I asked myself how the hell do you mess up a quesadilla? Well my friends, no cheese! Our quesadillas literally had no cheese to hold it together. I can't even call it a quesadilla. It was just meat and a stiff tortilla. I couldn't even rely on the rice to kill my hunger pain. The rice was stale and undercooked. The only nice thing I could say is the sour cream was decent. Never again. This place was alright for a fast taco... But the disappointment here is the porshon of food and the extra up charge for hand made tortias, corn or flower. The Menudo only came in one size witch is 24oz. At $10 price... All other Arandas I have been to are the same exept this one here...but the food was good but the price for small portions and a lot of money was not what I expected here.. I never judge a place by only trying it once. That being said, first time I went there, both my tacos (fajita and chicken) and my kid's quesadilla tasted bland. I didn't think much of it. Side note: I noticed that Arandas prices had sky rocketed since I had last been there. To be fair it had been a few years. Second time around I ordered to go, which was a fajita tostada and 2 tacos Al pastor and my kid had quesadilla again (while I waited for my order, i over heard a conversation between what seemed to be a regional manager and the store manager about better service and mentioned that when they get (to go) orders wrong maybe give customer a dessert since their time is being wasted on the restaurants error). I thought highly of this conversation. So without fail, I got home and my order was wrong. I called the store, drove back and got my order without any compensation for my troubles, which I wouldn't of given to F's about to be honest, but I heard that conversation between the two managers. Apart from that the food again was not good, the fajita had enough chunks of fat to make another taco, the pastor meat seemed as if it was re re cooked, my kid didn't finish her quesadilla because it tasted very bland. I tried her chicken and it was very dry with little to no seasoning with the melted cheese being the only flavor. The sliced avocado I bought on the side was unripe. All in all, when good advice is given and not heeded by management, it is not good business. This action trickles down to the staff. I could not recommend (La Porte location) to anyone. read more

Love love love!!! Amor! We discovered this great place and came back 2 days later for lunch again. We tried the Torta - both chicken and steak and had the steak fajita taco salad and tacos. We had chips and salsa too! The place was so busy at lunch and it just opened a week ago. The food was fresh and so tasty. The steak wAs high quality. The guacamole was wonderful. Shrimp tacos -- yum! The shrimp is grilled with bacon and the tacos come with avocado and cheese and are delicious. I get mine with refried beans and french fries. I also love their red salsa & super-hot creamy green sauce. The service is courteous and helpful.
