I've been to this location many times over the years, but my last visit made a lasting impression in a good way. My husband, son, and I met my mom there for dinner and they weren't busy so we were seated immediately. The few tables around us that were occupied seemed to be happy with their experience and one of the tables even seemed to be regulars based off of the way they were conversing with the waiter and a man who I assume was a manager. We ordered our food in a timely manner and munched on chips, salsa, and queso while waiting for our meals. Shortly after the entrees arrived, we were visited by Corky, the owner of this location. We had a nice long chat with him about the history of Casa Olé and his time working with Larry Forehand - who started the Casa Olé brand. We discussed changes to the menu and where certain menu items originated. It was a really good conversation and it all started because my mom and I ordered "Quesadillas - the old way" which is not a quesadilla at all, but it IS delicious and worth trying. Corky said he had to see who knew about it and ordered it. We enjoyed our evening and our conversation with Corky. We only visit Casa Olé 3-4 times/year, but we will of course be back and I will remember the visit that we got to have a good chat with Corky. read more

Went to Casa Ole and was pleased with the service. Josh was a great waiter. Clean bathrooms and cool Mexican decor. Chips and salsa were good. The green sauce had a nice kick while the red salsa was a bit more tame. I ordered the Chicken stuffed avocado and it was delicious. Rice and charro beans were seasoned well. I had a cup of the tortilla soup but it wasn't to my personal taste preference. I'm used to more of a chicken broth soup whereas this one had more of a vegetable /tomato soup flavor. Overall, it was a great experience and I did enjoy my meal. I'll pass on the tortilla soup next time and order the charro beans first. read more

Last trip to Casa Ole after 30+ years. Food was good as usual, but the service was the worst experience I've ever had eating out. We waited 10 minutes after being seated. No server. Had to go ask the hostess. When she came to take our drink order, we placed the whole order because we had already had a long time to decide. After bringing the food, she came back 1 time, apologizing for the slow service (that they gave her tables on the opposite side of the restaurant) She brought the refill I asked for, then we didn't see her for the rest of the night. We finished eating after another 20 minutes. Waited to get check and to-go boxes. Now we're at 30 minutes. My wife wants to get up and complain to the hostess. I don't want to complain, so I said she has to be coming soon. 40 minutes since the refill, my wife finally goes to the hostess again to get boxes and the check. At the cashier, we asked to speak to the manager as we were paying. My wife will finish with the review of his reaction. Spoiler, not impressive. I will say the server wasn't rude or anything. She just didn't provide service at all. 10 minutes before, 40 minutes after, she didn't exist. We never saw her again. The manager wasn't much better. The cashier was the only person who seemed to care. Way too many Mexican restaurants in the area to ever want to go back to Casa Ole again. read more

over 2 years ago I've been eating at Casa Olé consistently all of my life but I frequent the Deer Park location regularly. It's not the closest location to my house but I continue to go back because there is a waitress there that goes above and beyond the call of duty. I mean she brings me my drink and appetizer as I'm being seated. She remembers everything. Top notch service! Her name is Brooke. I will continue to eat here 3-4 x's a week simply because of Brooke. Don't judge me. I love their green sauce. Been a fan since my family and I would visit the Bear Creek location in the 90s. And to this day, there is not a single other resto that can top their cream salsa verde or thin and crispy tortilla chips. Not even El Tiempos amazing green sauce. If I could give this place a minus 10 , I would. To start, The waiter was wonderful. But we had not been there in years. All 4 of us had different meals and they were terrible . My family and I came here on Saturday afternoon for lunch and the waitress was ok... she messed up our order but she was a nice lady. The cashier was this lady with glasses and dark brown hair with grey hairs in the front, didn't catch her name but she made the experience horrendous with her attitude. However, I had a coupon that expired after today (only good this weekend $5 off $20) and the cashier's comment was we don't honor that coupon and we do not have that item on our menu. Hello? Do I care you do not have that item? Nope. Do I care that you honor a Casa Ole coupon at your Casa Ole establishment? Yes. If I would have known, we would have gone to the other Casa Ole down the street. They would have honored my Casa Ole coupon at their establishment. Update to the update: we went to Casa Ole and the waitress didn't return to our table until after we were finished eating. We all needed drink refills and had to eat the entire meal without a refill. That seems to be an issue here. I think they need someone specific to fill drinks. Update: It's been several months since we have been here and this trip was not as pleasant as previous times. I'm dropping it from 4 to 3 stars . This particular trip was probably about a 2 but I'm giving 3 because other times have been better. First of all, we walked in and the hostess was clearly upset. She looked like she was about to cry. The manager (a lady) was standing there talking to her even while we were standing there. We were not greeted by the hostess or the manager. We were seated and it was rather awkward because the hostess was clearly upset. About one minute or so later, 3 people were seated in the booth in front of us. It was the same thing where the hostess looked really upset. It took about 5 min for the waiter to come over. He had a great personality and got the order correct without writing anything down. It would have been better if the table was bussed. I had to put the tortillas on top of the empty queso bowl. The table in front of us....I felt pretty bad for them. We had our drinks, queso, and had already ordered before someone came to their table. They sat there for a good 10-12 minutes before anyone acknowledged them. The food was good and drinks stayed filled. In all the times we have visited before, a manager has always been seen walking from table to table, asking if everything was good. I didn't see the manager at any table. Also, in all the other visits, a survey was given at the end and that didn't happen this time either. I was actually wondering if it was because one of those questions on the survey asks if a manager visited the table and she didn't visit any table. It We were greeted twice when we walked in. It was very slow at the time we came in, but it was picking up as we were leaving. They were appropriately staffed....usually when a restaurant is slow they send people home and then get in a pickle later on. That didn't happen here. It took probably 5 min for the waiter to come to the table, which I thought was a little too long given they weren't busy at all. The waiter was extremely nice. We had to send the queso back to be warmed up, but other than that the food was really good. The manager visited all the tables twice while we were there- that was impressive. We had to ask for the waiter to come to the table for more chips and my water glass never was refilled so towards the end of the meal I had to drink my husband's sweet tea. Here's my suggestion, multiple employees walked by our table while we didn't have chips and my glass was empty so I would suggest that they help each other out when they see a customer in need. I love that all the food is consistent, it is always gonna taste the same each time. For real, I have never gone in there and they say "oh sorry the tortilla soup is burnt " It is also so cheap, Man i used to come here so much back in the high school days with all my friends and i could eat off of $6 and i still can. The service is usually good and that is why i like this place cause you're in and then you're out. Its like fast food place but nice enough to where they call it a restaurant and have waiters and stuff. Today's review isn't so much about the food itself, as we always get perfect food here and is always delicious! One of my daughter's and my favorite places to eat, especially on a day when we don't have a lot of time. Today is more about our waiter Joe B. . We have had him as a server in the past and always gives us excellent service, but today was exceptionally good. Joe not only remembered what we drink and that my tea must be unsweet, but he also remembered exactly how my daughter likes her Casa Burger, mustard, one slice of lettuce, one slice of tomato .. not too much of anything, and not too little of anything. He compliments his female guests in a way that there's a little flirt (nothing wrong with making a woman feel good and blush a little), but not coming on to them. Just enough to make sure the customer feel good. He checks on you more often than most wait staff does and he makes sure you are happy. He corrects things immediately if there is a problem. As far as the food goes, my daughter got her Casa burger and as I said earlier, it was perfect! My daughter said he got it just right and as long as she was happy, it's all that matters!! He never asked how she wanted it.. he just remembered. I did something different this time and got the Nachos Ole... I have had a nacho craving lately. I have had these in the past, but it has been a very long time. The plate was much larger than I had remembered (yes!! left overs to take to work!!) . He remembered that I don't like sour cream or guacamole, and even stated so when I placed the order. He brought my pico de gallo and jalapeño's on side plate. He also remembered that I sometimes want peppers, sometimes not, so a side plate it was. Nachos were great!! We do eat at this location about 3 times a month and can't always get into Joe's section, but he treats his customers well and always makes sure they are treated as if they were the only customer's there. I've visited dozens of times, never worse than 2 stars or better than 4. On my last visit: Chips were room temp. Sauce runny and green more bland than usual. Waitress was dry and pircular, but really nice. A bit slooooow. Service a bit slower than usual but still able to get in/out less than 45min. Food cooked in 10 min. Overall I usually get decent food at a good price, served hot and we can get in and out in less than an hour. read more

Best Case Ole around!! This is the only Case Ole that has family meals which are very very good. Excellent to-go service. My brother and his wife drive from Crosby to eat here or pick up something to-go. I pass another Case Ole to get to here from my house but is well worth it. They also have a few items on their menu that you cannot get at any other Case Ole. I have not been to the Case Ole they own in Pearland but I would guess it was just as good.
