Pronounced 'Crystal Ball.' I guess you don't need to be a Fortune Teller (FT) to see this theme coming. FT: "Parentheses are in your future." I will let the crystallomancy (reading of a crystal ball) by the Fortune Teller (drabarní) predict (in quotes by FT) my review, and I will add my actual experience (prefixed by "---"). ----Ah-ah-ah! I know what you are thinking: "shaman you!".---- ((())) (( ' : ' )) _*| |*_ / , **** , \ __ /_'_.( O )_'_\ __ FT: "A great fortune, or property, will soon come your way, but you must be keen to watch for this opportunity and be bold and energetic." ----Maybe. But it won't be this place. If you look at the pictures of the place, you know enough of what to expect. It is a local restaurant in a lower middle class neighborhood. Since it is slightly off the main road, too, you should expect predominantly locals eat here. So, wave your hands slowly over the crystal ball. Close your eyes. Tell me the future of this place. You are correct. It will last awhile longer. The food is good enough. People know each other, the owner and staff.---- FT: "You will meet a tall, dark stranger." ----Yes, and that bus boy is slow to clean tables for waiting customers on this busy day. The furniture is cheap plastic and aluminum. Décor is bare bones, bright lime green paint with hand-lettered signs, mainly.--- FT: "A lady of great wealth and beauty will enter your life, but you must act with boldness. You will soon meet such a person when you least expect it." ----Probably not here. The female staff are nice, though, and service is good. English language is not a problem for waitress.---- FT: "You will gain weight" ----Calorie counting is not a high priority among patrons here. The menu offers typical Mexican food, and sitting in stainless steel cafeteria bins with grease evident.---- FT: "You will order some combination of corn, meat, lettuce, tomato, beans and perhaps avocado." ----Amazing prediction for a Mexican restaurant! For the variation, I ordered tacos.---- FT: "The food will be plain and as good as from a taco truck" ----Yes. Nothing stands out.---- FT: "You will wonder if you shouldn't have ordered something else" ----Yes. Enchiladas on the adjacent table look like a better option.---- FT: "You will not return" ----For non-locals like me, there are better places nearby.---- FT: "You will stop reading this review..." (the end)

Here are some of the servings they have available; they vary throughout the day.

I get up early so that I can get here at opening time sometimes during the week (and the food is already fresh and prepared). I really enjoy the tacos here. In zero of my visits here have I experienced that the food was sitting for too long or tasted cold. The Tortilla is made so well and deliciously supplements the serving you choose. It seems to be a family owned Business/Restaurant, so you can rest assured that they're excellent at making your Traditional Mexican food. The service is firm, kind, and straight to the point because you already know that all you want is the food. Demand here is rather high and the Restaurant manages to keep a great price for the Tacos. Coffee and Beverages are to the right as you walk in. The Hot Sauce is truly made to spice up your dish. Come try it out and taste the many blooming flavors. The tacos are at a rather large size (including the serving) and for a filling experience for one person, you won't have to spend more than $5-$6. Credit and Debit Cards are accepted here.

For drinks, my husband and our friends tried some of the margaritas from their large and unique margaritas menu, as well as their hibiscus agua fresca. All of the drinks were very pretty and it seemed like everyone enjoyed them, too! We started with their chips and salsa trio, which we all really liked. The chips were on the thicker side, but were crispy and not stale or chewy at all. Each of the salsas were quite different, and two were served warm, which we really liked! For the price, I'd consider getting the chips and salsa as a non-negotiable, honestly. For entrees, we tried the enchilada rojas, chilaquiles verde w/ chicken and beef, birria barbacoa ramen, and huaraches. My husband felt like his ramen could have included more meat, but aside from that everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. The highlight was probably the desserts, though! We got a quatro leches and two ordered of their giant and amazing churros. Both were incredibly tasty and reason enough to return for another visit in the future!

I would definitely recommend making a reservation, as it can get pretty busy, especially during Saturday lunch. There is also plenty of parking available across the street. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful and felt so authentic to Mexican culture. Also, the pace of the food being brought out was evenly paced, which I appreciate, and our server gave us just the right amount of attentiveness. We celebrated my husband's birthday here, and they sent out a tres leches with a candle on it. Very kind and very delicious dessert. Usually not a big fan of tres leches, but this one was not overwhelmingly soaked in condensed milk, and it has a very fresh tasting peach (seasonal) puree drizzled on top.
