I've been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. ‍ It's one of my favorite hole-in-the-wall spots in San Antonio, absolutely incredible. The food is consistently authentic and delicious, some of the best I've had. The service is fast, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, with a level of hospitality that feels true to Mexico. The space is always clean, the music sets a great vibe, and the whole experience just feels right. The frijoles charros and mini taquitos de asada will forever be my favorite, and the tripas, cheese enchiladas... so good. I especially appreciate that Spanish is spoken here, it adds to the authenticity and charm. If you don't speak it, no problem just use a translator and enjoy everything this place has to offer. In the past, we have only ever ordered tacos to go, but these past two Sundays, we dined in. Last Sunday, I was with my mother and son. She had the menudo and was very pleased. It came with all the necessary trimmings. She took a tripas taco to go, which she also enjoyed. My son had the Cuban torta, and he absolutely loved it. I had the chuleta breakfast, which was solid in comparison to others I have had elsewhere. Today, my partner, our son, and I went. She had the caldo de rez and repeatedly commented on the flavor. IMO, the broth was okay, but the meat was tasty and filled with plenty of veggies. Nothing their delicious salsa could not fix. Our son had the chuleta breakfast this time, and his porkchop was massive. He was able to make 2 meals out of it. He does not typically care for breakfast potatoes, but topped with their ranchero sauce, they were soon missing from his plate. Both their meals came with choice of homemade tortillas. I had a campechano torta which came with a side of fries. Flavor was spot on for the meat and bread; however, it could have used more meat and avocado. Both times, we had Mexican Cokes. We had a few issues with translation. Our waitress did not speak English very well and I have a severe tomato allergy to fresh tomatoes. It took a bit of moving and changing but once my plate was right, it was solid. We ordered the queso for the table and ended up adding that to our food bc the flavor was really good. For a tiny place tucked in a corner, this a quiet neighborhood spot that does a good job. Everyone was very kind and the place was super clean. The staff was very attentive. The prices were a bit high but it seems like that everywhere these days. The spouses gorditas were also solid. I would say they lacked flavor more than anything but also still very good. read more

They will not print you the itemized receipt and will try to show you the total, then when you pay they will show you a receipt with a space for the tip when they previously added 18% gratuity for parties 6+. YELP brought me here on a Thursday after a visit to the park. Tacos are always on my mind so I placed a to-go order on the phone for a couple breakfast tacos (chorizo & egg, chilaquiles), barbacoa, beef fajita, and crispy tripa taco. There wsa a bit of mix-up on the phone placing my order but we got that sorted out regarding quantity. After stopping in and picking up my tacos, I got back to the hotel to grub. The crispy tripa was probably my favorite; great crunch and grease with the tripa and squeezing the lime while adding the pico gave some killer flavor to it. I found the barbacoa and fajita to be ok, they lacked some seasoning and the corn tortillas were falling apart while eating it. For the breakfast tacos, both are large and stuffed with items. The chorizo & egg was tasty. Chilaquiles was messy and stuffed more than they should be. Flavor-wise, it's alright. Probably wouldn't order that again. This is the #4 location for T-Data Point. While there's plenty of other taco options, I'd be open to trying other things; but maybe at a different location. read more

First time visiting this Latin style restaurant. I enjoyed that they have a menu with images of the plates. I order a chicken plate that came with rice and beans with a small side salad. They also give you chips and salsa complimentary while you wait for your entree. Good food. Server was friendly and attentive. The establishment is clean and casual ambiance. These tacos are fabulous! The shredded chicken was absolutely delicious, and their corn tortillas are perfect. They have great specials for breakfast tacos before 11am. This place surprised me--in the best way. I stopped in craving something real, and they delivered. The tacos were stacked like they mean it--plenty of meat, good seasoning, and grilled just right. Their tortillas tasted handmade (if they're not, don't tell me), and the salsas had actual kick. Not "white people spicy"--I'm talking Reynosa spicy. I ordered a mix--al pastor, bistec, and barbacoa--and every bite made me miss home a little less. The charro beans? Fire. And the aguas frescas didn't taste like powder mix, which is always a win. They did take awhile to come to us and take our order but we weren't worried about it cause they actually were zooming back and fourth. The ladies were very nice! Taqueria Data Point has made it to Stone Oak! We've been there a few times now, and they're definitely a welcome addition to the area. They've done a great job converting it from the old Li's and added some nice touches to the bench seats and booth tables. Service is friendly although it helps if you speak Spanish or are at least familiar with the foods on the menu. We've had great breakfast tacos and breakfast plates, the burrito Asada, and enchiladas. Today I found a new favorite- chilaquiles Mexicana with chicken! I always order my eggs over-medium and, most of the time at other places, they never come out that way... but these were perfect. The breakfast potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the beans were just ok... dip your tortillas in there and everything tastes even better. The tortillas are excellent. I noticed they do menudo and pozole, and fideo loco, so I'll be trying those at some point. I've long been a patron of theirs for years. I love the fact that they know my family and we have the same waitresses that started at medical location then went to Dezevala location and now they are at the stone oak location. When we would finally get her attention, it almost seemed like we were a bother. Also, the floor and the table we were at were dirty and sticky. Two cheese enchilada plates, five bean and cheese tacos, and only one aguas fresca created a bill of $48.00. Add an eight buck tip, and its fifty six bucks. Even for Stone Oak, that's pricey. I know this will piss a bunch of people off but it is unprofessional to have waitresses that only speak Spanish and if you actually need to make a statement or ask a question beyond the basic phrases to said waitresses, they don't understand but will claim to know English and then get offended when asked if anyone knows English. I don't mind pointing at a menu and asking for simple things but when I need to ask a more complex question, it would be nice to be able to communicate with someone that can understand. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! We ordered for pickup through DoorDash and when we got to the restaurant they only gave us half the order. I even showed them my receipt and gave them my phone to confirm. Apparently they can display a larger quantity online and when they provide food they'll give you half that. Even the waitress's agreed that this was a mistake on their part. Even the supervisor on site didn't want to make it right. When we expressed how this was false advertising they just started speaking Spanish playing dumb. However, I'm Mexican and Spanish is my first language so that didn't work. When we asked for the GM name, they refused to give it to us.
