Asada tacos, GOOD. I highly recommend the Pastor tacos with avocado crema- REALLY GOOD!
    Leonora S.

Natalie at the front is awesome! She remembers requests for extras such as salsas, limes, etc. you will get everything you ordered whether you eat there (there are benches near the truck) or order take out. The pastor tacos topped with their avocado crema is so good! Also, it's served with grilled onions, pickled carrots, limes, green onions, etc upon request. The mild and hot salsas are tasty too! If you don't like avocado crema, either salsa put on top of the taco will be good. *Truck is open late hours. *Credit cards accepted. *Follow them on IG to enter and win free giveaways! @taqueriaelpelayo15

Another amazing burrito from El Pelayo, had the surf and turf today. It's loaded with delicious shrimp and steak, all mixed with peppers and onions. My wife said it might be the best burrito she's ever had. This truck is first class all the way.

Chicharones tacos here are so good. They are super generous with the pickled vegetables and grilled onions!

We ordered the taco tray which for us is the most delicious deal! All of the pickled and grills fixings on the side with some beautifully crisp tortillas and flavorful meat! Thank you!

This truck is in my rotation of trucks in Vallejo. My go to is the asada tacos. I like them with everything, and I always do get them with spicy salsa. It's been awesome to see them grow. I usually call in my orders to cut down on wait time but even when I don't, the service is quick. That's another callout I want to make- the service here is great. They give realistic prep times which is something that is much appreciated. Updated signage says they're open 7 days a week now. They take cards if you don't have enough cash but I believe there is a small fee - not 100% sure on the specifics. Show this taco truck some love and come check out their extensive menu.

I dont usually leave reviews but this place was so good this place was amazing. I'm not really used to good customer service and good food anymore but the crispy tacos were so good. I wasn't sure what to get a the owner was super nice when above and beyond giving me recommendations, he suggested I try with the avocado salsa and boy it did not disappoint. I got some rice and beans on the side as well which for me I'm very picky when it comes to Mexican rice I like it perfect lol so I mean for me I would definitely recommend this place !

The crispy tacos... oh my goodness absolutely AMAZING. Good price and great flavor. I found them thanks to Tictock

Steak and shrimp crispy taco... very delicious.

My first review for this place was on the LA Dog. I was headed someplace else for a quick lunch and decided to stop here. Today I had the crispy steak and shrimp taco. It was delicious. Larger than a street taco. Meat and shrimp were nicely cooked. This truck is well maintained with a seating area and kept clean. The menu is huge. I'm 2 for 2. My son and grandson really like this place. I'll be back.

Today I ordered two Carne Asada tacos and one shrimp taco. I had them at sour cream and cheese to my taste.

2 words "SO GOOD" 2 more "Best Prices" Quick when they not busy, yet worth the wait if they are! I call this spot "Ole Faithful" cuz I have had great service and food more than less in my 7 years living in the Jo. The owner and his wife to be here on this day. I was happy to meet them and learn that they will be doing Tuesday on all open days so we can receive those wonderful deals.

Stopped by for Taco Tuesday and took advantage of their 4 tacos for $10 deal (plus tax). I ordered two chicken and two steak tacos. Good steak tacos can be hard to find, but these did not disappoint! The chicken had a unique flavor--delicious and not too spicy. On top of that, the customer service was excellent , super friendly staff who made the experience even better. I'll definitely be back!

I was in the ER at Kaiser Vallejo and my husband was STARVING. It was 10pm and last we ate was at 4pm. My husband didn't want to eat because I couldn't eat but I convinced him to doordash some food. Hard to do at about 11pm when nothing is barley open. We took a whim on ordered a burrito and torta for himself and some birria soup for me since I couldn't stomach anything. OMG. Was it marvelous! At first we didn't know if it was just starvation speaking. So we decided to visit this taco truck a couple days ago. AND YES. It was BETTER fresh. First off, the burrito and torta we first ordered was AMAZING the next day when I could finally eat. When we went the second time.... *CHEFS KISSES*. I got 2 pastor tacos, a cheese enchilada plate, and a shrimp and chicken burrito. And don't get me started on the red spicy salsa. We love taco trucks and this has gone in our top 5. Their beans were home made, the rice perfectly cooked. And SO MUCH FLAVOR. It is located next to a gas station and I'm glad we went early because there was A LINE as we ate our food. It is clearly a community favorite and I can see why. The person who took our order was super sweet. HIGHLY recommend to anyone who needs a quick late night snack or are just craving some amazing food with flavor. If you are skittish with loud surroundings I would suggest ordering, waiting in your car and taking it home to eat because regardless the flavor was was still there and piping hot after driving 15 minutes home. ***Side note, they do put lard in their beans, which adds SOOO much flavor, but if that's not your jam, be aware, although they do have it posted***

The burritos here are piping hot, fresh, and delicious! And friendly service! With the many Mexican food options in the area, this is a good place to try.

When I received my food I realized that it was not the correct order and immediately called the restaurant to see if there is a way that maybe my order hadn't gotten picked up and I could go ahead and just drive down and pick it up myself since I knew they were closing soon and may not accept another online order. The very kind gentleman who answered the phone explained that the delivery driver had picked up my food and something must've happened before it got delivered to me but that my food was no longer at the restaurant. I asked if it would be possible for them to remake the order and I come down to the restaurant and pay the restaurant directly and then deal with canceling the order through the food delivery app afterwards. He mentioned they were a little busy and were close to closing but would get it ready as quickly as they could - even repeating what had previously ordered to ensure I got the correct food. We rushed down to make it before they closed. Not only was the food ready within the 10 minutes it took us to get from our house to the restaurant but they were so kind and helpful and even offered us a discount on our order for the inconvenience of us having having to drive down. We happily collected our food and drove home and soon received a call from the restaurant letting me know that I had left my debit card there and they would have it for me to pick up the next morning when they opened at 10. And the food? Amazing. 10/10. Also - they were PACKED on a Monday night right before closing. We will be returning. Sorry, no pics - we were hungry

Over the years, I've watched this place go through a few upgrades. One of the biggest changes is the menu that used to be painted on the wall is now displayed on digital display. It looks pretty cool, although I do miss the old painted menu because it was part of what I remembered about this place. But with prices changing over the years, I can definitely understand why going digital makes more sense than having to repaint the wall every time something changes. Prices have gone up over the years too, but that's understandable. One thing that hasn't changed is the service. The staff has always been nice, welcoming, and hospitable. I've never had any problems with the customer service here. This time I ordered a super burrito and two street tacos. Taco Jalisco has always had some of my favorite carne asada. The steak is flavorful and honestly some of the best carne asada I've had in a Mexican dish. The street tacos were simple and good. Carne Asada and chicken with , cilantro, onions, and their hot sauce on top. And I have to mention their hot sauce! It has been one of my favorite things about Taco Jalisco for years. It adds so much flavor without taking away from the food. The super burrito was good too, although it was on the smaller side compared to super burritos I've gotten at other places. Still, the flavor was there. The seasoned steak, rice, and house sauce all blend together really well. Their rice especially seems to soak up some of that sauce, and when you get everything together in one bite, it makes for a really flavorful burrito. After 20 years, Taco Jalisco is still one of my favorite places in Vallejo to grab a burrito and some tacos. I wouldn't necessarily call it the best anymore, especially with so many other good Mexican spots around Vallejo now, but it will always be one of my favorites and a place I'll continue coming back to.

My favorite was their chicken tinga, which reminded me of the chicken burritos I used to get back in my hometown across the bridge. I immediately told myself I'd have to come back and order a chicken tinga burrito. A few weeks later, I finally returned on a Sunday while they were serving their World Cup Sunday brunch. I ordered a chicken tinga super burrito and a California burrito to take home. I was really excited to dig in, but when I opened the bag, the "super" burrito looked more like a regular burrito. The flavors were still great, but the filling was disappointing. There was barely any chicken or sour cream, and I had to eat more than halfway through before I finally got a decent balance of meat, rice, and beans. I even had to add my own sour cream because there was so little inside. As for the California burrito, it was just okay. The fries were stale, and there wasn't enough sour cream or guacamole, which made the burrito pretty dry. It honestly reminded me more of a breakfast burrito than a California burrito, and I wasn't a fan. Overall, the flavors are definitely there, and it's clear the food has potential. However, the portions felt skimpy for the price, making the burritos feel overpriced. I'll give Sol y Sazon another chance because I know they're capable of making delicious food, but if my next experience is like this one, they'll likely lose me as a customer.

For both tacos, the meat is incredibly tender and flavorful. Although a bunch of sauces and garnishes are provided, the taco was good enough on its own. Of the sauces we received, my favorites to add was a squeeze of lime and the red sauce, which had a nice smokey Chipotle flavor and wasn't overly spicy.
