    Chimichangas!
    A A.

One Word: Chimichangas! Service was great! The place was super clean too. For an affordable price it was a lot to eat so I had to bring more than half home. My friend said his quesadilla was packed with steak and he had to take more than half home too. Good place for a sit down meal.

Friendly service and wonderful spin on Mexican cuisine. California burrito was super flavorful with French fries and elote!! Papas locos were seasoned well and carne asada fries with waffle fries and the sauce was put on one side of the dish so you can control sauce proportions. Chicken tortilla soup was meaty and was an instant pick me up. I could see this being a necessary compliment for a hangover.

Decide to come here for lunch today. Nice greeting when I walked in. Place is clean and open. Lots of good things on menu. I opted for a combo plate with chili relleno and asada enchilada. Enjoyed both. Good flavors. Lots of good rice and pinto beans. I'll be back to try other delicious items

I had the house made chicken mole and it was excellent. Authentic flavor and generous portions. The mole is accompanied with hand made tortillas. My wife had the ceviche tostada which was also excellent. They use high quality fish in the ceviche. Service was also good.

I haven't been in a while because the parking was difficult. They now use parking spaces at the gas station next door. This time I had a Chile relleno and quesabirria with consommé. It was as good as I remembered and the service is always great!

Good value and Great selection of food for Sunday brunch and the servers were attentive clearing off used dishes and restocking the buffet line. I would definitely come back.

Quesabirria, I am glad I remembered to grab a pic!

Wow! I was excited called into the living room to be told that Super burritos and quesabirra were both on sale through a delivery app! I was starving so of course I said let's do it! We ordered 2 super burritos (I got Carnitas and he got Carne Asada) 2 quesabirria and a thing of pico. The quesabirria taco came topped with a little cotija cheese and diced onions, also there was some pickled red onions, carrots and radishes in the container. That taco was the absolute best I have ever had! It was super flavorful from the homemade taco to the delicious rich meat... Maybe it was hunger maybe it was the taco being so good but I ate it in 4 bites as I was fighting the taco losing items and the consommé and the pickled items all at once. The consommé was insanely flavorful (I drank the rest as I fished meat and onions out) the pickled onions were like none I have had at a Mexican restaurant they were more like bbq ones with apple cider vinegar. 5/5 for sure The Carnitas burrito now was insanely delicious with the grilled tortilla and the pinto beans and rice but the Carnitas itself was incredibly seasoned and bits were crispy and bits were soft... I feel bad that I didn't get a pic after I opened the foil but there was no way I was putting that down! Dad said the Carne Asada was super flavorful as well I wish I could add more adjectives for his burrito. The order came with a bag of chips that were seasoned well also! The salsa for the chips (we think) was smoky and had a great heat. The ranchera salsa that came was really good too and that's not just because it's my favorite style. The Pico was really good too, super fresh and actually had heat! I will absolutely be going back soon!

I started digging into my plate before taking the picture! Superb food folks!

We happened to be in the area. It was late in the day and we were starving. My wife likes Mexican food as she is Mexican. I have to admit I particularly do not care for Mexican food. Either way, we decided to go to this place. The neighborhood is not very impressive to be honest with you, and parking was a bit of a challenge. But we decided to try it anyway. The host and the waitresses were very nice. We were going to sit down and order something, but waitress recommended the buffet. We tried it as the price was curiously inexpensive (now don't go raising the prices on us if you're management reading this!) Let me tell you, I was so impressed! Everything was perfectly prepared and so tasty! They had all you could think of including churros for dessert which were out of this world! I highly recommend this place! I've already told my friends about it and plan on going back soon! BTW. their fruit drinks are superb so be sure to order that!

First time visiting! I loved the homey vibes. The location is small, but had place for people to sit and eat and get go through the buffet line. I went for the all you can eat taco Tuesday. There was 4 of us, plus a baby. I didn't get great photos of my food because I was hungry. I enjoyed the food and loved that they had fruit with tajin on the side. I think because there was so many people, I feel that the staff were a little stretched thin, but nonetheless I will be back.

Sol y Sazon Mexican Restaurant are clearly doing something right. They host an all you can eat Sunday brunch filled with your favorite Mexican-American dishes. The wait for a table was close to no wait and the server comes by to take drink orders and clean up any finished plates. The space is small so get there early, but everything is well organized and kept replenished. Did I mention they had American breakfast items as well? The authentic Mexican food was pretty good too. I'd definitely come back for those fresh tortillas. What's not to love?!

My happy husband with his huge plate of chilaquiles divorciados.
    Maria H.

Decided to try this place today with my husband. I didn't know it was a buffet on Sunday. Win! My husband ordered chilaquiles divorciados. Huge plate with two kinds of chilaquiles a carne asada steak and a grilled chicken breast. I went for the buffet. They had pozole, menudo, fresh fruit, pan dulce, scrambled eggs, pancakes, chicharones en chile verde, pork in chile verde, beacon, sausages, tamales and a few other things I couldn't remember. To drink on the buffet the offered cafe de olla. Parking was difficult to find but friends it is sooooo worth looking for it!! As a Mexicana this food is delicioso. They also offer all you can eat taco Tuesday!!!

When I received my food I realized that it was not the correct order and immediately called the restaurant to see if there is a way that maybe my order hadn't gotten picked up and I could go ahead and just drive down and pick it up myself since I knew they were closing soon and may not accept another online order. The very kind gentleman who answered the phone explained that the delivery driver had picked up my food and something must've happened before it got delivered to me but that my food was no longer at the restaurant. I asked if it would be possible for them to remake the order and I come down to the restaurant and pay the restaurant directly and then deal with canceling the order through the food delivery app afterwards. He mentioned they were a little busy and were close to closing but would get it ready as quickly as they could - even repeating what had previously ordered to ensure I got the correct food. We rushed down to make it before they closed. Not only was the food ready within the 10 minutes it took us to get from our house to the restaurant but they were so kind and helpful and even offered us a discount on our order for the inconvenience of us having having to drive down. We happily collected our food and drove home and soon received a call from the restaurant letting me know that I had left my debit card there and they would have it for me to pick up the next morning when they opened at 10. And the food? Amazing. 10/10. Also - they were PACKED on a Monday night right before closing. We will be returning. Sorry, no pics - we were hungry

I ordered the fish tacos, and they were absolutely delicious. Even the salsa served with the chips stood out because it tasted incredibly fresh. The real showstopper, however, was the watermelon margarita. They literally cut a fresh watermelon and blended it to order. That alone deserves extra stars in my book. The service was excellent from start to finish, and we had no trouble finding parking despite the lot having only about ten spaces. The day we visited, they were playing '90s Latin pop classics from artists like Cristian Castro, Ricky Martin, and Fey, and I was loving every second of it. The restaurant has plenty of seating, a welcoming bar area, and a fun atmosphere that made us want to stay awhile. My friend and I left feeling like we had just discovered a new favorite Mexican restaurant, and we will definitely be back.

Over the years, I've watched this place go through a few upgrades. One of the biggest changes is the menu that used to be painted on the wall is now displayed on digital display. It looks pretty cool, although I do miss the old painted menu because it was part of what I remembered about this place. But with prices changing over the years, I can definitely understand why going digital makes more sense than having to repaint the wall every time something changes. Prices have gone up over the years too, but that's understandable. One thing that hasn't changed is the service. The staff has always been nice, welcoming, and hospitable. I've never had any problems with the customer service here. This time I ordered a super burrito and two street tacos. Taco Jalisco has always had some of my favorite carne asada. The steak is flavorful and honestly some of the best carne asada I've had in a Mexican dish. The street tacos were simple and good. Carne Asada and chicken with , cilantro, onions, and their hot sauce on top. And I have to mention their hot sauce! It has been one of my favorite things about Taco Jalisco for years. It adds so much flavor without taking away from the food. The super burrito was good too, although it was on the smaller side compared to super burritos I've gotten at other places. Still, the flavor was there. The seasoned steak, rice, and house sauce all blend together really well. Their rice especially seems to soak up some of that sauce, and when you get everything together in one bite, it makes for a really flavorful burrito. After 20 years, Taco Jalisco is still one of my favorite places in Vallejo to grab a burrito and some tacos. I wouldn't necessarily call it the best anymore, especially with so many other good Mexican spots around Vallejo now, but it will always be one of my favorites and a place I'll continue coming back to.

Parking is a little tricky because so many people pack into the tiny lot. Plenty of different meats to choose from if you're craving tacos. But they have plenty of alternatives if you aren't feeling like tacos. I ended up getting Al Pastor, Asada, and Suadero. Suadero was okay but the Al Pastor was amazing. I lived in San Diego and I've had a hard time finding good pastor since I moved back. Freshly sliced with slice of pineapple was perfect! They have all the fixings in bins with tongs for you to pack in sandwich bags they have available. Only thing is, it seems like kind of a roll of the dice from a food safety standpoint, but hey, "street" tacos aMiRiTe? Haha. Overall fast service, great tacos. Especially for the price of $4/taco. I'd give it five stars but had to knock it down for the food safety aspect.

One thing that caught me off guard is that there are no prices posted anywhere. They simply tell you your total at the end, and in my experience, the prices are higher than I expected. To help others, here's what I was charged: Aguas frescas (Horchata, Strawberry Horchata, Piña, Jamaica): $7 each Burrito: $18 Mulita: $9 each Torta: $13 Huarache: $16 The food itself is very good, especially when they're not busy. When it's slower, the portions are generous and everything seems to be made with more care. During the rush, though, I've noticed the portions get smaller and the food feels a little rushed, which is disappointing considering the prices. One of my favorite things is the salsa bar. They have a great variety of salsas and toppings, including cucumbers, pickled cabbage, and other fresh additions, and you can help yourself. They also had four different aguas frescas available when I visited: Horchata, Strawberry Horchata, Piña, and Jamaica, which was a nice selection. I do think the customer service could be improved. A little more friendliness and better communication, especially about pricing, would make a big difference. Overall, the food is tasty and they offer a great selection, but I'd really like to see prices posted and more consistency with portions, especially during busy hours. Hopefully this review helps anyone wondering what to expect before ordering.
