Decent spot to pick up quesabirrias but be warned, they charge extra for consomme!! Not $2-3 extra either.. it's $5 for a little coffee cup of consomme that could use a little sprucing up. The flavor of the consomme isn't bad but it's really not worth the extra cost.. save your money and get another taco instead!!! The quesabirria plate comes with 3 hefty quesabirrias, one small scoop each of rice and beans, and a side of grilled onions and radish slices. We also got an al pastor burrito to try but the al pastor was not giving al pastor if you know what I mean. The meat was dry, kinda ground instead of chopped and the flavor lacking. The burrito was put together nicely and I will say the beans and rice are pretty tasty. They only gave 2 green salsa and 2 red salsas for our order and the salsa cups are tinnnny :( They tasted delicious though, even the green one, which was surprising since I'm more of a red salsa girl. The horchata was okay, sweet enough, but kinda thin. I prefer my horchata to have a lot more creaminess and body. I ordered three quesabirrias with consommé and a steak super barrito from this taco truck, and it's the worst I've ever had in my entire 20 years of living! The burrito rice was incredibly dry and hard, and the meat had no flavor. The cheese tasted weird. The quesabirrias had no flavor at all the cheese tasted off. I asked for extra sauce and was given a total of 4 small sauces. We didn't even finish our food, which was a waste of $35. read more

It seems to be a hit or miss. At times, their burritos have more meat than fillers (beans and rice) and it's delicious. Other times I'm eating a bean and rice burrito. When it's on point, this is my second favorite spot in Vallejo with a solid 4 stars. When it's a miss, it's a two star spot. Hence the three stars that I gave them. read more

Not much seating about 3 or 4 tables if I remember correctly but it's a nice little taco truck with a handful of parking spots. Wait time was decent about 15 minutes for 2 entrees. Burrito was a decent size not small or too big, I'm a looking for a big burrito because there's a spot in Oakland I go to and the burrito is like a footlong sandwich. But this was decent, I kinda wished the chicken was shredded and little more juicy but nonetheless it was still good enough to get my burrito crave out the way. Crunchy and the consome was really good too. * Super burrito w/ half al pastor & half chicharron (no beans & extra sour cream) - Really thought it was going to be good because they toast the tortilla crunchy before rolling but my burrito was just full only rice. Today, I went in to give it another change and got two quesabirra tacos with consome. The total was $13, which wasn't worth it to be honest. They were a decent size for myself, but the arrangement was just sloppy and dripping. The meat and consome itself was very stretchy for my liking and not very flavorful. My go to truck is up the street by grocery outlet, and they have a special for $10 (3 quessabirra tacos w/consome); definitely worth the price. Nobody was there when I arrived, and ordering was easy and wait was 6-7 minutes. After eating it, my body feels a little weird as if the food is weighing on my chest; don't know what's up with that. Craving for Birria and saw that this taco truck sells it. I would say that this truck is just a regular, usual stop, like nothing special. Service was just okay. Ordered 2 birria (no crunch and very oily- it's like I am drinking oil with it!) 1 consome (lack of taste), 3pcs tacos- 1 asada (marinated but not enough grilling on the meat) 1 chicharon (no crunch, huge cubes of pork) 1 pastor- (just ok). The consome was $5 each. I would say it is pricey for that small coffee cup size (lacking taste, it has meat which I think is unnecessary because the birria itself has meat already. And we all know that Birria comes with the sauce. It's like a partner of taco and salsa! Or if they have to charge the consome, should be at least 2$ is the max. No receipt given. I was just told 20$. When I try to calculate- based on my orders, it's only 19$! They can have the 1$ :) but honesty and receipt is far most important in business! No monkey business- as they always say! And what fails here?? Not any single sauce given! Good thing I ask, she gave me 2 green and 1 red! If I did not ask-- that means no salsa for me to eat it with.. another #Failed. No limes and pickled jalapenos and carrots were soggy and old! The wait time was long. Muy delicioso! I had a taco flight of lengua, asada & carnitas. All of them were really good. But the standouts for me were the lengua & the carnitas. The lengua melted in my mouth like a piece of lusciously beefy jello (which sounded better in mind than it does reading it). And the carnitas had a pleasantly porky umami to it. Carne asada is a kind of a staple for me, but it's fast becoming one of the least interesting of tacos. Theirs is solid, but nothing like the lengua & carnitas. Be sure to order the horchata. 3 steak burritos and 3 drinks, I was charged $46!!! Couldn't believe it! I probably should have left but I had hungry kids in the car and didn't have time to go elsewhere. The girl taking my order had an attitude when I asked her for extra hot sauce on the side, seriously??? You're overcharging me that's the least you could do. I don't do reviews but this is honestly one of the BEST trucks I've been to! They have a large menu varying from the basic taco to actual plates so there should be something for everyone. I ordered 5 tripa tacos, the chile relleno plate, and a horchata and I was more than happy with what I got. The tripas were perfectly crispy and held it during the drive home and the salsa they gave went perfectly. As for the Chile Relleno... honestly didn't think it would be as good as it was but the flavors, delicious! The pepper was tender and had a slight sweetness that cut through the cheese and balanced it. The cheese itself was excellent as it didn't congeal at any point while I ate. Their portion size was also very generous and by the end I was stuffed! Definitely going back soon for more as I'm already craving it! read more

This place is delicious!! I'm so glad to have found a spot with delicious birria and consome. Customer service was wonderful. I stopped by just before closing, but the guys working were happy to stay open for a bit longer to make sure I got my taco fix. I got a few tacos so I could try a variety of the meats: carne asada, al pastor, birria, and carnitas. I would highly recommend the carnitas and birria. Both were flavorful and cooked beautifully, they weren't dripping in grease like some other places and the meat was shredded well, not overly fatty. The consome was also DELICIOUS. There was a good amount of meat and it wasn't overly spicy. Price-wise, I ate till I was VERY full and spent less than $10. I'm looking forward to coming back very soon!!! read more

Out second time trying out food from taco truck. The first time was alright but today when we went it was not good at all. We ordered we got 2 orders of birria tacos with rice and beans, 1 fish taco, a shrimp taco, 2 sides of consome and paid $52. My bf dropped a little cup of consome and asked for another one. They charged him $5 extra so total we paid $57. The beans were so salty I almost threw up. I ate the birria tacos which were alright. The consome though was all juice and onions. The birria taco was ok but here's my issue- I paid $9.27 for the tacos (without the consome) and then I asked for the consome, they ran my card again and the consome was $5.15. How tf you gonna charge more for the consome then the actual taco and why is it over $5 for a little ass cup of soup? Not to mention when they gave me my food, the f**King soup wasn't even in there. So delicious and excellent service!! I was so excited to try this place and I will definitely be back. The best part was that the chef said, "I made these how I like to eat them so I hope you like it." I loved it! And that extra level of service is so rare and special. I am super picky about Mexican food, as is my husband. We both love this hidden gem. The meats are fresh and full of authentic flavor. They are not super greasy and the servings are great. This is a great little taco truck. They have a wonderful variety of meats to choose from. I had 3 tacos (steak, pork & chicken) and all of them were super tasty. The meat was moist and had great flavor. They salsa on each was wonderful. I can't wait to go back and try fish tacos, papusas and a burrito. I've driven by this truck several times, never really seeing it busy. However, my favorite truck nearby is closed Sundays and another was really busy, so I decided to give this truck a try for tacos. Ordered 2 tacos, asada & pollo, thinking of ordering more if I liked them. These are the smallish $1.50 "two-bite" tacos. They were ok, but I still like my other spots better. Decided not to order anymore during this visit. This would probably be a good backup spot for me. They do have BOMB homemade horchata however, which is a rarity at other trucks here in Vallejo.
