Finally found yummy tacos in Whittier! A little further south than where we live but oh my! The asada tacos! They taste like your Tio made them fresh in the backyard. I also had their yummy birria taco! My husband inhaled his chicken tacos lol The salsas are so good too! You can definitely taste the quality and love in the food. It can make you cry. As someone who grew up on East LA tacos and Mexico tacos in the summers, I guarantee you this is the spot. What a disappointment. I should have taken it as a sign when I walked in and the place was empty. I ordered 1 burrito, 4 asada tacos, and 2 al pastor tacos. The burrito was full of old meat, and the beans tasted like canned beans. The 4 asada tacos were nothing but skin and fat with very little to no meat. I ate here two weeks ago and I was very disappointed with the flavor of the asada and pastor in the tacos. The asada had a lot of nerve in the meat and it tasted bland. The pastor did not taste good like you would expected. I'm typically picky on pastor only because it truly tastes better when it's cooked on the skewer and topped with a pineapple. Do I recommend this new location? Yes, yes I do and I have! My friends have gone back several times as well. Since they opened my husband has wanted to come every chance we get. There is Taco Tuesday, Wednesday Happy Hour and you can make up your own! Lol! I would recommend the the Pastor with the aguacate. I wouldn't call it guacamole because there's nothing in it just plain ole avocado . Another one to have is the Labio, if you don't like lengua... this is not for you! They are delicious though.
