So so good! My hairstylist put me on to this place last year and now anytime I get my hair cut, I stop by. The tostada is delicious and LOADED with lettuce, black beans, pico , Oaxaca cheese and sour cream. I added chicken and was surprised the shell didn't crack. They have different types of tacos, enchiladsa, tacos dorados (same as flautas) and many other options. The tacos I got were flavorful and really stuffed with the protein of my choice. I got chicken, al pastor and Carne asada. The AL pastor was my favorite because I like the sweetness of the pineapple. The hot sauce was super hot! I had an impressive meal today at Taqueria Emilio. The lunch specials include the choice of three tacos and a soda for $8. I picked this option, ordering the tacos al pastor, along with a bottle of tamarind Jarritos, and an additional chipotle chicken taco, so as to bring my total over the credit card minimum. They brought out a basket of chips and a rack with two salsas, a mild green one and a spicy reddish-orange one. The chips made for a crunchy appetizer, offering a glimpse into the hearts of both salsas. Turns out, I liked the fiery one more. A few minutes later, the tacos arrived. The plate could barely hold all four of them, loaded with toppings, each finished with a stripe of sour cream and a crumble of queso fresco. I ladled on the salsa and began stuffing my mouth. These tacos were the best I've had in a long, long time. The al pastor, sweetened with little chunks of pineapple, absolutely melted in my mouth. The chipotle chicken also made tears of joy well in my eyes. While I was certainly full after eating the four tacos, I would have gladly devoured more. read more

The two house sauces are also good, though the red one has a sneaky kick that will get you in the back of the throat when you swallow. Tried a bit of the beef tongue too, meat was so tender and flavored perfectly. Around $3 per taco, with some great lunch specials too. They're not stingy with the filling and garnishes - it's definitely one of those tacos you shouldn't put down once you pick it up. Needed something green in my body so also got the Emilio's healthy salad with kale, corn, avocado, quinoa, tomatoes. You can also get it with grilled chicken and shrimp. Really good solid food. Lost two start for the following reason 1. I order tacos with hard she'll they gave me soft shell instead 2. The second time I went to the store and order in person to ensure I got hard taco shells. I was charge $5 more over what I was supposed to be charge. When I told the cashier why was I being charged more , she couldn't say. She said I'll give you the different in cash and only gave me $4. I'm not in an arguing mood I took my money and left. 3. There is not rating on their window front which is weird because it seems to have pending the last 2 years I pass by it. I went today with a friend to eat something, we had a chicken Torta and chicken flautas, we were trying hard to eat the food but we couldn't, The chicken had no flavor at all. It felt like you were eating raw chicken. But when I tried to tell the woman that works there, she had a terrible attitude very disrespectful and rude. I was trying to explain that to her and she acted like I wasn't there. When I asked about the owner's phone number she refused and she got even nastier. I will definitely not coming back and I will still to my favorite place "Serrano Salsa" that is on Broadway just a couple blocks away from this place. I've eatin here for years, but recently threw a housewarming party for about 30 people. We ordered 4 roulettas of tacos (2 carnitas, 1 chorizo, and 1 veggie), and they were a hit with our guests! For fillings we had chicken chipotle, which had a nice flavor, carnitas (fried pork), very good & tongue (which my wife enjoyed). Of course there are more than tacos on the menu.
