The humans working here deserve a shout out They are friendly and helpful and keeping the counters, tables, and salsa station (so very important!) clean and filled Speaking of salsas, the golden one is fantastic! And I love finding pickled onion and cucumber along with radish for my tacos. We shared a 3-taco combo plus an extra single quesabirria taco and side of beans. Excellent flavors. The only drawback was cold rice and lukewarm chicken in the taco, but the flavors were on point. read more

I stopped by Taqueria Factory on a Sunday for an early dinner. Located right next to Arizona Mills, parking is a cinch in their complimentary lot. You order at the counter and they call your order number when your food is ready. Ambiance (3/5): Pretty much your run-of-the-mill casual Mexican joint. There's a good amount of seating, including booths, and it's clean. There's also a salsa bar where you can get your heart's content of different salsas, limes, cucumbers, etc. Service (4/5): Service isn't a big part of the experience, but to the extent it is, I was impressed. Everyone greets you once you enter the restaurant. That's a nice touch. After checking out the menu, and asking a couple of questions, I placed my order. It was ready within a reasonable amount of time. Drinks (4/5): They have a full bar, but I didn't dabble. I went with an agua fresca instead, which I'm always excited about. They had several flavors to choose from, four I believe. I went with "pepino," or cucumber. There are two sizes to choose from. Some places charge ridiculous prices for agua frescas. Not here. Food (3/5): Since Taqueria Factory shares the space with Fruitilandia, it's a pretty big menu. I ended up going with the loaded fries which comes with pico, an avocado spread, fries, and your choice of meat. I have a weakness for loaded fries, so I couldn't say no. They have a good number of proteins to choose from. I went with birria. Because I also have a weakness for birria. The slow-braised beef was flavorful. Pretty solid dish overall, though the portion size was a bit on the smaller end for a Mexican restaurant. The prices are reasonable though. For a fast casual Mexican joint, Taqueria Factory does the job. read more

In 30 years of dining at Mexican restaurants, Taqueria Factory stands out above them all -- not just for their incredible food, but for having the best customer service I have ever experienced. The ambiance is fantastic, with TVs throughout, a bar, and a great outdoor seating area that makes the experience even more enjoyable. Every dish is amazing, and you can tell they put real care into everything they serve. I am truly grateful to have found this place. Taqueria has partnered with Frutilandia and Rite Aid to serves a veritable plethora of menu items; it's two restaurants in one plus 16 different flavors of Rite Aid ice cream. The ice cream can be added to most of the Frutilandia drink items for an extra cost. As for food, they sell tacos, nachos, ramen, quesadillas, burtitos, mulitas, vampiros chilaquiles, antojitos, shakes, fruit, and more. I tried out their large Pina Coolada Fruti Drink, a Sonoran Hot Dog, and a Quesabirria (taco with shredded beef). This cost me $26.75. The service was amiable and the food was above average. The place was clean, well organized, and there were plenty of places to sit. As with any place that sells ice cream, the pints and quarts are way more value than ordering by scoops. I was surprised to find out that they sell no pints or quarts at all; just by scoops and small cup sizes. read more

I've ordered through uber twice and went to pick it up. Ubers meal deal stated the first time to pick two sides and I picked the consume and the rice. I got there and they only put the consume saying there's not supposed to be two sides. Was okay with that, had just moved here, hadn't even looked at the website. Went back today cause the food is extremely good. This time uber had my same meal i ordered ready to order but with just the consume. I checked the meal deal on their website and it states one side and drink. Got there to pick up my food. Multiple hands were touching the actual food with no gloves, I'm being told it doesn't come with the consume but "we can just give it to you" i said, i ordered from uber this is what it stays as does yalls website. Hand me a hot sprite, i said is there not cold (cause i got that last time) lol, no we don't have that. The entire experience was just confusing and frustrating.. i don't even want to eat the food at this point with the touching and the quesadilla looking under cooked. read more

Never thought that running into a restaurant a few minutes before closing to use their restroom would turn into a yummy taco experience-but it did! Unfortunately AZ Mills was closed and their bathroom required a code. Upon discovering this, I ended up at the encounter with a beautiful smile and joyful face looking back at me. I asked did they have al pastor tacos and she quickly replied yes and asked if I wanted pineapple. I of course said yes-it would not be an al pastor taco without it. I dropped a few dollars and asked for the bathroom code. I am so glad that the taco was worth the bathroom run. Their tacos are tiny but mighty full of grilled pork sweetness with a hint of saltiness. I absolutely enjoyed every bite. Also, as a bonus they had a cute salsa bar with mild, medium, and spicy salsa along with radishes, lemons, and onions. And I will be back for more tacos in the future-and not when I just need a bathroom rurn. read more

I have been a frequent customer of Taqueria Factory and Frutilandia for some time. This location is next to Arizona Mills Mall in Tempe. Taqueria Factory serves up quesabirrias, tacos, burritos, vampiros and birria ramen. They have a variety of braised meats to choose from for your entree. We ordered some tacos from here and enjoyed our meal. I love heading over to the condiment bar to load up on some sauces, limes and radishes after I get my meal. All of the Taqueria Factory locations are connected to a Frutilandia. So make sure you grab some Latin desserts after your meal. I grew up in Arizona and love my spicy Mexican food. The menu here is quite large with a number of combos and side items to choose from. I have been to many of their locations, but wasn't a big fan of this location. It doesn't have the same charm and as good of service as the other Taqueria Factories in the Valley. read more

WHAT A JOKE!! I ordered a Ceviche Tostada, please tell me why I got the smallest tostada I've seen in my life. The Ceviche size was decent, but a disgustingly small tostada. I could have fully loaded 3 more of those and then some. So I ask if I can get 3 more and they wanted to charge 50¢ per tostada. Mind you I have already paid $8 for a TOSTADA! I immediately asked to be refunded. I asked to speak to the manager, who was pretty confrontational, he tried telling me they make everything in house so it cost more, and that if you buy a taco you only get one taco, he acknowledged the size and stood by it, great way to stand your ground, and LOSE customers. Seems like a "The manager is always right" type of restaurant. BROTHER I have seen Tortilla chips bigger than your "in-house" tostada. What a horrible experience, such a shame I was starving. read more

The Taqueria Factory is a fairly new chain restaurant in Arizona. I have been to their location on Ray Road. These two locations are night and day from each other. My daughter and I both ordered two birria tacos and chips with salsa. You could have avocado spread and/or onions and cilantro With your tacos. We both opted for the onions and cilantro. The beef consommé for dipping is not included so we ordered a small one. The food came rather quickly, which was nice. The presentation was not impressive, and the amount of onion and cilantro was barely enough for a taco, definitely not two. The flavor was good. We didn't get the consommé, we had to find our server to remind her about it. It didn't arrive, until we were halfway through our meal, which was a little disappointing. The biggest turnoff for me is the smell of cleaning products. I couldn't enjoy my food with that overwhelming odor. I can appreciate their desire for cleanliness. The scent is just too much... it just threw off the whole experience for me. We were out of there within 25 minutes. I definitely did not have the desire to linger and order another beer. I don't think I would come back to this particular location. I will definitely try out the Ocotillo location and make a comparison to the Ray Road location. read more

Came here for the first time. I had a taco and a queso birria very good , nice and tasty! They have a cute veggies/salsa bar. So you walk in and order your food and sit down somewhere your choice, you pick your seat. The lady was nice taking our orders. And I really enjoyed some of the decor. my husband and I took our son to legoland and the aquarium and were starving. We love Mexican food and saw Taqueria Factory! I ordered the sports combo: quesabirria taco with two shrimp tacos and a michelada. the michelada was mainly Clamato, the cup was clearly not big enough for an entire beer, so I wondered why they didn't give me the rest of my bottle of modelo. choice of sides are rice, beans or consumme. For $24, why can't I have that all? Hubby got the quesabirria tacos. Sadly, the onions and cilantro were brown and basically inedible. you're a Mexican restaurant, the onions and cilantro are the easiest thing to make sure is perfect for your guests. shrimp tacos were ok, quesabirria was delicious and was basically the saving grace of our experience. oh and my son got the kids combo, which is a juice box, churro and the smallest saddest quesadilla for $7.50. needless to say we were really disappointed to have spent $50 and not even get rice and beans with your tacos. A nice little ice cream treat find! The inside is really nice and has an open and pleasing esthetic. I like how everything looks so sleek and clean. They even have a bartop. My boyfriend got the monster cookie shake and I got 1 scoop cookies and cream waffle cone. It was really good! We just came for dessert this time. I like how there is a salsa bar for the tacos. I tried the Al pastor, birria, and carne asada tacos. Although they were street tacos size they were absolutely filled with meat which made them really filling. I couldn't even finish all 3. My favorite was the carne asada which came with guacamole and onions and cilantro on top. The tacos came with a red salsa and green salsa, both of which were delicious. The red salsa was pretty hot! My favorite was the Mangoneada drink. It was blended frozen mango topped with fresh mango and a mixture of tajin or Chamoy or something. It came with a tasty tamarind straw. I looooved this drink but my husband hated it haha. If you like eating mango with tajin or fruit with salt you'll love this drink too. I'm so glad this place opened near me, I'll be back soon! read more

Recently after attending the IMAX at Arizona Mills, we stopped in for a bite at the recently opened Taqueria Factory which lies conveniently on the east periphery of the Mall's parking area on Priest is the most recent of this family four location Taqueria. It's a spacious, clean and cheerful eatery with brightly appointed yet sparse and contemporary in design and color schemes, with seating arrangements from bar, table to communal, it creates the perfect environ to enjoy tacos, and then some - like their incorporating Fruitlandia's sweet deserts! Although on our first stop we had some light fare by trying their really terrific birria and chicken tacos we're coming back to try some of their other items in their voluminous menu! read more

Service is awful. No one at the counter and had to wait. Then took over 20 minutes to a burrito before I cancelled for a refund. Place was empty so there is no excuse for such awful service. Don't waste your time here. There are places that actually respect the customer time and money. read more

Seen this place next to the AZ mall and found a nice drive through! Parking is all around the restaurant. Place my order and took about 3-5 minutes to get my order. I got street tacos - shrimp, chicken and carne asada. The shrimp taco was too soggy and it fell apart immediately. It had too much sauce going on. As for the last two, the chicken had too much spice to it. The decent taco was the carne asada. Glad to have tried a new place. read more

I had the Tres Amigos combo (shrimp and pastor tacos) , and the flan. Amazing! I love all of the salsa's at the salsa bar, they are each very distinct and flavorful (the "spicy" chipotle salsa is sooo good!). Biggest surprise of the visit. This is easily my new favorite taco place. If you like tacos, you owe it to yourself to pay this place a visit. If only I lived closer. read more

Amazing new Taqueria and dessert place just outside Arizona Mills mall. It is where the 5 and Diner resided for years. Today is it's 3rd day open. Went there for the first time yesterday and back today. So happy they are here in Tempe!!! It is family owned. They have many locations for Fruitlandia and also the Taqueria in Chandler. First impressions, clean, hip, streamlined and fun. Edward, the owner, greeted everyone, touched tables and gave his recommendations. Everything we tried was amazing! Birra taco and birria tostada, Al pastor tacos with pineapple, carne asada taco, Sonoran dog, Oreo madness shake and strawberry cheesecake shake (that's over 2 visits, don't judge, lol). Mine and hubby's favorite was the Al Pastor tacos! At the owner's recommendation we got them with the pineapple. I was skeptical, because I usually don't like fruit with meats or salad, but he was so sincere we had to try it. Wow!!! This is NO pulpy canned pineapple sprinkled on top of meat, but FRESH pineapple, grilled and diced on top of perfectly succulent, marinated pork pieces, some with crispy char and all tender, in a fresh corn tortilla with onion and cilantro!!! Yumm!!! Sonoran Dog was full of flavor with a plump grilled dog, soft bun, grilled onions, crispy crumbled bacon, tomatoes, cilantro and crema. Can't say enough good things about this new place! My husband and I needed to charge our Tesla rental. We needed to kill 20 mins. and I was a "hangry" wife lol. Thankfully this was a few steps from the charging station. We both ordered the asada and I ordered pollo tacos. Tacos were full of flavor and had the fixens. Carmen and Dianna were the sweetest. They over heard my compliments of their food and clean atmosphere. I totally recommend this hot spot for both your savory and sweet needs (next time I'm trying out their desserts - churros, flan and ice cream oh my) Food/service was quick. Holy smokes! What a crazy and wonderful menu. They had birria ramen, which I had to try. It was absolutely fantastic. I never go to a taqueria without trying the Al Pastor tacos. They were huge and tasted great. Back to the menu though. I'm coming back on my next visit to Phoenix to try their tacos in a bag and corn in a cup. Their drink menu looks insane. Service was phenomenal, even late at night due to flight delays. Check this place out!! read more

Everything was super good but for 6 Birria tacos and a margarita I can't justify spending another $55 kinda pricey but everyone was nice and place was really clean. They also have thrifty ice cream which is a win! read more
