I've driven by this place a few times and I've been wanting to try it, the reviews are favorable and I like supporting local food spots, but this was disappointing. Don't get me wrong the food flavor is there, but the prices are ridiculous, and the food wasn't anything amazing, just good. $18 for a burrito that only has meat, rice, pico and romaine lettuce is wild. Every other Mexican spot in the area that I frequent is around 13-14 bucks for a fully loaded burrito. Not to mention this burrito was not fat at all, probably 3 inches wide, one of the smallest burritos I've had from a taqueria. When I ordered the employee asked if I'd like cheese, sour cream and guacamole on the burrito and I said yes. Suddenly the burrito was about $23 (and with the 1 single street taco I ordered ($5) the total for 1 basic burrito and 1 street taco was $32 with tax. I found it weird that the employee didn't even bother to ask if I wanted those additions at a cost, so I had to have her remove it since I wasn't going to pay 5 bucks in toppings that should have already been included in an 18$ burrito. I recently moved and found this spot 2 blocks away. I came here with some friends for lunch on a thursday and there was a line through the parking lot. The cashier, Esme, was super sweet and helpful. The line moved fast and the food came out even faster. We all got burritos and they were absolutely delicious and filling. The salsa included was also delicious and fresh. The kitchen was very clean and they had a great patio with lots of seating and nice music. I will definitely be returning soon as it was a great experience. read more

That's ridiculous, especially when the food isn't great. I was shocked when I ordered a quesadilla and saw the price--it definitely wasn't worth it. Another issue is that their hours are unreliable. They don't keep their "Open" sign on when they're actually open, and I've shown up during their posted hours only to find them closed. On top of that, the location isn't easy to access, and for what they charge, the customer service and food quality should be much better. Even at high-end Mexican restaurants, the prices aren't this steep, so I don't get why this small taco shop is charging so much. I've given this place three chances, but it's never impressed me. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly staff who took our orders. This place has plenty of seating on either side of the front counter, which is great. I ordered the veggie burrito - which came with rice, beans, lettuce, guac, pico, and peppers. It also came with a chips and a side of salsa - which was delicious. The burrito itself was good but nothing extraordinary. I wish it was grilled because the tortilla got soggy pretty quickly after getting it. From the street this looks like most other Taquerias but on the inside the food is a cut above with fresh ingredients, and attractive presentations that always make the food taste better. Friendly service and fantastic food as before. I had a couple carne asada street tacos which were served beside a couple very juicy lime quarters.
