    3 asada tacos

This place is hands down the best place to get authentic street tacos in Birmingham area. The service is great and the food never disappoints. Highly recommend!

    Campechano torta
    Julie W.

I have been going to Taqueria Juarez for years. It is consistently good hearty authentic fare, full of flavor and always satisfying. The service is friendly and quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is sparse, as it is a food truck in a parking lot with a few picnic tables in front, some under cover of a canopy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]But the food more than makes up for the no-frills experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My favorites here are the torta and the tacos, but I have tried everything on the menu and it is all good--not one single dud. The torta is an amazing griddle sandwich filled with toppings such as meat, cheese, beans, tomato, avocado, jalapeño, and more. You choose which meat you prefer; I highly recommend the campechano which is a three-meat combo of pork, steak, and chorizo sausage. The serving size is generous, and some might be able to make two meals out of one sandwich, which is served conveniently cut in half. The tacos are sold individually, so you can mix and match however you like. Meat choices include steak, chicken, pork, shrimp, chorizos, and some specialty meats such as cow's head and tongue. Tacos are made with corn tortillas containing meat, onions, and cilantro. They are served with grilled spring onion and fresh cucumbers on the side, which are a surprisingly perfect complement. The burrito is stuffed with a ton of toppings, and again you choose your meat. Here too, I think the campechano is the best option, but you do you. The quesadilla is huge and full of flavor thanks to the addition of veggies to the typical meat and cheese. The huarache is a big piece of masa flatbread that is fried and topped with meat and veggies. It kind of looks like a pizza, but oval-shaped and personal-sized. It's a very filling entree. The sopes are also made with fried masa dough, but they are small and round and more bowl-like in shape, and they too are filled with meat and veggies. These are served three per order and for most people will be a filling portion. The base meats are the same for any of the entrees, so you can choose how you would like any of the entrees prepared. The staff is good about asking if you want all the listed toppings or if you want to customize. There are three different salsas to choose from. I have found that most of the dishes are well-seasoned and don't need a salsa to achieve satisfactory flavor, but the salsas are complementary to any of the dishes. There is a smoky chipotle sauce, a red chili sauce, and a green chili sauce. My favorite is the green--a splash of this on the sandwich or burrito gives a little heat without overpowering. If you haven't been to Taqueria Juarez yet, you are missing out. If you have been before, next time try something different on the menu, as you can't go wrong with any selection.

Once again I'll say the only reason I don't want to share how amazing this place is solely is for the reason they'll become even more popular and then I'll have to wait to get me order. Haha! This is one of my top of the top meal locations and if you want legit Mexican food this is the best. They are always nice and always wonderful servers and create your order in a very great way. My favorite sauce in the world is their Peanut Sauce yet I cannot find it at any other Mexican restaurant ever.

One of the best taco trucks in Birmingham! I got the chicken tacos, and I truly enjoyed it. The service was very quick, but [[HIGHLIGHT]]the seating area is a little small.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a few other items as well for those who are not in the mood for tacos!

Taqueria Juarez is one of my favorite taco trucks in the Birmingham area! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a nice, chill, and also quick place to go to for some Mexican street food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can either sit outside on their benches placed next to the truck or take it to go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They consistently have savory and flavor packed tacos every time I go. I get 3 chicken tacos and usually an horchata to drink as well. The horchata is made well with a good balance of sweetness and a cinnamon taste that pairs perfectly with the tacos. Their entire menu is reasonably priced and affordable with many different items like tacos, burritos, tortas, quesadillas, etc. Their service is always super friendly, and they give you extra sauce with no hesitancy when you ask! I personally love their green sauce the most. Overall, they are a great taco truck where you get quality and affordability all in one!

This truck has the best fish tacos I've ever had. I'll have to stop by again to try other options on the menu when I'm in the area.

Excellent service. Recommend fish and shrimp tacos with peanut sauce. This is now my go to on grocery days.

Tried some new items this trip and it's still amazing. Service is great and fast. The shrimp taco was to die for. TJs will always be one of my top food trucks!

Authentic Mexican food- we ordered about 12 steak tacos and two chicken quesadillas. Everything was phenomenal- the salsa verde is off the charts good (medium heat to it). Highly recommend and wish we could be regulars but we found this on our travels back home. Small seating area, plenty of options on the menu and friendly workers. Go try them!

This place fucking deserves the hype. I almost slid the lil screen door and kissed the cashier yallll the tortas are to die for and the horchata ain't too sweet. The green salsa hit the right spottttt. They get busy but they'll you get you goin as fast as they can. They have a couple of tables with shade too

The food was good, not great, but good, but the service and long wait times certainly diminished the overall experience. Prices are not posted, but are not horrible, though a little high. A burrito and two tacos were $13. Also, keep in mind that this is not a restaurant, but an older food truck parked in a gas station, so expect to be eating in your car or taking it to go. At the end, they did not give me a receipt and when I asked for one, I was told she can't give me one. I told her that I needed one for work and after about twenty minutes they begrudgingly sent me one via text message. While the food was ok, I cannot see returning here.

Torta of carne asada no flavor and little Meat no good . Too dry also
    Shantal R.

I didn't like the torta of carne asada very much, they use a little rooster and they don't even put meat, it doesn't even taste, I bought it. They should change the chilies into vinegars, they don't even have a taste, they are dry. The only one I liked was the tripe taco. It's just that it was a little expensive for me. Defensively, I don't think I'll go back.

I am giving them 4 stars overall for coming to a neighborhood near me (08/26/2020), the amount of food, and the excellent customer service (the young lady taking orders was extremely nice). However, 3 stars for the food. I was excited to check them out because of the reviews on Yelp and one other place. I was not wowed like I thought I would be. The Steak Burrito had onions, avocado, cheese, beans, tomato, sour cream, rice, cilantro, and jalapeños, plenty of it all and fresh. While eating, it just didn't make me say, I have to go back!!! Since they have other items on the menu, I will try them again and find what makes me do a happy dance.

They just brought a food truck to Homewood parked at the Jack Rabbit gas station. This is one of the top 3 mex food trucks in Birmingham.
