The service was amazing we were greeted and seated right away! The inside is small but cutely decorated. The food the food was good I got shrimp rancheros my husband got lingua and my little got a quesadilla! The prices were good to match the food! We will def stop back in if ever in the area!

This was my bean and cheese burrito literally all tortilla. Taco Bell makes a better one. Usually love this place but felt ripped off on this occasion

Wet burrito with pastor inside and red sauce. So good,

Nice place to come and have dinner and a drink. Nice people great food. I. One here with my wife and get some enchiladas. She likes the shrimp.

While traveling back from Reno to Carson City, we searched for an authentic Mexican food restaurant. Upon searching Yelp and Google, we found Taqueria La Salsa off the highway. Understandably, there was a caveat in the menu that prices are subject to change without notice, due to the cost of produce and doing business. I noted that there was only one refill of soda for the kid's and refills of chips was $1.99 (listed in the menu) That said, we ordered our usual quesadilla, wet bean and cheese burrito and kids' meal - and I tried their # 2 fish taco special with rice and beans. The first problem was the "bowl" of chips arrived at the table, only half full - which I mentioned to the server. No response. The second problem is our bean and cheese burritos was ordered "wet" (with red enchilada sauce over the top) and arrived plain. When they brought it back 10 minutes later, the sauce was cold and the burrito was lukewarm. Third, my fish tacos arrived cold - along with lukewarm beans and rice, which was disappointing. Across the board, the portions were small for the price, which was another disappointment. Honestly, everything about the meal was less than appetizing and we won't be back anytime soon. The ONLY thing that came out fresh and was enjoyable - was the margarita on the rocks. I urge the owners to review this feedback and make some changes if you want to attract more patrons in the future. I'm sorry to have to share this with you, but I would be remiss if I didn't speak my mind. Our bill was $56 including tip - and I felt as though El Pollo Loco would've been a better choice for the money - right across the street!

3 tacos Al pastor with everything, rice and beans. Chicken nuggets and fries. Al pastor entree with rice and beans.

The best hidden secret in Carson for authentic Mexican food. We have been eating here for 30 years and the food stays fantastic.

The food was great! Friendly service, clean and very accommodating. Chips and salsa were superb. Chips were plentiful but not wasteful.

Al Pastor tacos are some of the best I've had. The salsa is also very good. Definitely recommend this restaurant in Carson City.

Ambiance: Relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere with Mexican-inspired décor and cultural touches throughout the restaurant. There was a steady flow of guests, giving the place a lively but comfortable feel. Restrooms: Clean and decent, although a bit outdated. Service: Friendly but somewhat disorganized, possibly because we had a large group. The waitress initially told me the bartender was busy, but later realized she had never entered my drink order. She apologized and removed it from the bill. She also brought the wrong entrée for one of my friends but corrected it promptly. On a positive note, she graciously accommodated another friend's custom drink request even though it wasn't on the menu. Chips & Salsa: The first basket is complimentary. We were told additional baskets normally have a charge, but during our visit we were offered unlimited refills. Food: Fresh, authentic, and generously portioned. Recommended dishes: Salmon Atlántico, Fish Tacos, Artichoke Dip, Enchiladas, and Bistec.

We had 12 people with us (whole family in town), so we were excited to support a local place and bring them a big table of business. Unfortunately, multiple meals came out cold (5 in total), and we mentioned it immediately - calmly and respectfully - because we assumed they'd want the chance to fix it. Our waitress, Yemi, was honestly the best part of the lunch. She was attentive, kind, and genuinely apologetic. She handled everything with professionalism and grace. The manager (who may also be a cook) is what ruined it. He was angry, hostile, combative and argumentative right away - and what stood out most is he didn't even lead with solutions like re-cooking, replacing plates, or trying to make it right. No real apology for the food, and definitely no apology for the experience. It wasn't until AFTER we told him his attitude was awful and that he needs to leave us alone and let the waitress handle it (as he is making things worse) that he offered to either take the meals off the bill or remake them- and he didn't apologize at all, then with a massive chip on his shoulder he said again he didn't believe our food was cold. Some of us said take their food off the bill and some one of us had it remade. At the end as we were leaving, he actually doubled down on his awfulness and gave what felt like a sorry excuse for an apology. His version of "sorry" was basically: "I should have been nicer when telling you that you were wrong about the food being bad or cold." Then he said, "I'm sorry, I'm just really passionate about my food - especially when I'm told it was cold when I know it was hot."..... SERIOUSLY!? That's your apology for our experience and multiple people immediately telling you the food was cold, why would that many people lie.... Wow So... not an apology for our experience, not an apology for the cold food - more like "sorry you saw me get upset while I told you you were wrong." Food mistakes happen. How management handles them is what matters - and this was handled terribly. We won't be returning, and I'm sharing this so others know what to expect. Again, Yemi was great - she deserved way more support than she got.
