Pizza birria with consome was tender, juicy, cheesy, and flavorful. Enough food for 2-4 people. Saw that they had pizza birria available when I walked up to the register. I hadn't found a place where I enjoyed quesabirria before trying it here. Most places serve dry shredded meat that rely on the consome for moisture. This completely changed my opinion on birria. Haven't visited this location since forever ago and decided to give it a go. Plenty of parking in the lot and it was quite busy around 8pm on a week day. Mellow Yellow lights and yellow walls reminded of those old college days. Quickly we decided on super quesadillas with one being chicken and the other being steak. Of course gotta get a michelada to wash everything down. Took a while for food to come out and they were delivered to our table. We tried all the sauces, salasa, and pickled veggies, and everything tasted healthy. Maybe we just like very salty food. Favorite place to go to get a goooood fill in of burritos and nacho fries! I'm also a HUGE fan of theirr pico de gallo and orange sauce. Their (super) burritos are able to keep me full the majority of the day, and I love the fill of fixins' they put in, in addition to the pico I add on. Whenever we have the desire for Mexican comfort food, we come here. Haven't really had the experience for dining in but it's always take out, and the men working there are as friendly and efficient as they can be. Don't order their menudo! It was absolutely garbage, totally not worth $18. Revisited particularly for their menudo unfortunately it tasted nothing like the one I had two years ago. The tasteless menudo was watered down and bland with other non-tripe tissues in various cuts and a huge bone in the soup. The major turn off was the soup base was diluted by adding water. Oof! What a cheat! Not even the spice condiments can save the diluting and garbage meat disgrace. They definitely cut corners on menudo. Highly not recommend it! Food quality has taken a nose dive along with a steeper price. I remember it used to be so good. We always come here for Mexican food and the place served fond memories for family gatherings. The noise level was minimal. The prices are fairly reasonable, but you could pay about $21+ for the other dishes. I ordered the barbacoa tacos that are not on the main overhead menu but one of the several items they have on a side menu near the counter. Not bad. They were a bit greasy, but the meat was tender and had a good flavor. They have tortilla chips that are self-serve. They don't have Pico de Gallo to go with them, but you can have them with the red or green sauces in the squeeze bottles, which are very good. My super burrito was quite massive. As I unwrapped the foil, I noticed there was a tear in the middle of my burrito. It was all bad news from that moment on. The hot juices were dripping down my hand which was unfortunate. I know hubby would have appreciated the burrito but I personally did not like how stuffed it was. I think they have chimichangas I saw on their screen that I would love to try. It's in a mall plaza so there's plenty of parking and it got progressively busier as we sat there and ate. Good place to grab something quick to eat after a night of last minute Xmas shopping which really helped hit the spot and is always yummy. Located in one of the corners of McCarthy Ranch which might be hard to spot if driving by but there is plenty of parking available since it is in the plaza. The place is pretty roomy for a taqueria and have plenty of seating available. I'm always content with getting the tacos here since they are a pretty good size and they have a good selection of meats to choose from. I ended up getting 3 tacos which are 3.99 each for your basic meat with cilantro, tomatoes and onions and I ended up getting my favorite ones which are Tripas (intestines) and Lengua (Beef Tongue).. I know I'm savage but I love it! all were really good and just enough for my appetite. They do have the chips and salsa bar available but kinda wish they had a bit more selections of available sauces. They do have their own version of the orange sauce that everyone loves so that's a plus. I also got the small size of Horchata which is always refreshing to wash down the food. Food came out at a good time and they come out to bring it to your table for you which is always nice. They have a few TV's on with your usual sports and/or shows playing. They did have Spanish Christmas music playing as well which was nice to listen to. Overall I do like this place compared to other taquerias I've been to.
